I remember my 14-15 year old self, laying on my bed, window open with cool breeze blowing in, listening to this on the turntable at full volume, and I memorized the entire album. Great memories.
Recently discovered your channel and have gone back and listened to your reactions from the beginning. I love your stories, perspectives and personality. Keep up all your hardwork!
My God….it’s like you’re back in full force! More content per day than when you were actually on your journey of discovery. I LOVE it! Looks like you’re picking up new subs too. 😁
Heartbreaker is in my top 3...I actually remember playing it when I was like 6 or 7; my big brother's record. It caught me then, moved me, stuck with me...and I never looked back. It has that total bad-ass swinging riff...utterly killer. And I'm 58 now. True story. Love it. Thanks!! (There is no "best ever"...just the one you like most. And Bonham is, by far, my favorite.)
Love your Review. Many stop the Songs, which can break the mood. Few can talk over a Song without burying the Song and breaking the mood. Your style is clear, concise and passive. It blends in with the song. Then you go into more depth at the end, which is greatly appreciated. Very relatable perspective.
I agree.., the right group of guys, the right time. Two studio masters who knew how albums are made (good ones) and too raw incredibly driven natural talents !
As far as critical reaction at the time,i completely disagree w/all who dismiss Zep but we need to realize all the contemporary music released at the time. Need i further explain all the fantastic music of the time? Through the decades Zep are kings, undoubtedly but the late 60's early 70's were times of extraordinary original creation!
Not my favorite album, probably because it was when I was just learning guitar, and in order to learn the songs, I had to play them over and over and over again. I got to know them inside out. As I improved, I picked up songs I was learning much faster. Still a great album.
Led Zeppelin II is a great album to have as your only Album. Sadly, it is not as Popular and/or Profitable as many other Rock Albums. If it is purely based on Pride, this is a great choice, but I might choose "Get Your Ya-Ya's" by the Rolling Stones which is some of the dirties Rock and Roll ever. Another choice might be "The Jimi Hendrix Concerts" (ua-cam.com/video/r2uJv7zands/v-deo.html) which is absolutely incredible.
Thanks for this journey!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

John Paul Jones is killing it in Heartbreaker!🔥🔥🔥
I remember being in a band in'71( I was13) and thinking we were so cool playing 'Livin' Lovin' Maid
Yes He is the best EVER! The GOAT!!❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nobody covers and does blues like Zepplin, the goats and all four members goats of their duties in the band!

I'm a bass player and I agree wholeheartedly about JPJ's playing. And how old was he here? 23? Unbelievable.
Firecracker album!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always loved it when the 8 track tapes came out to use in the car, wore this one out!

heartbreaker is my #1 zeppelin song over any of the others
"One Size Fits All" or "Over-Nite Sensation" for me. Hell, just give me the solo to "Zomby Woof" and I'll die a happy man!
Heartbreaker/LLM Probably top 5
