I really like this for a small weekend solo or couples coach. Honestly, the slide isnt needed to be honest, you could have a lot of opportunities for diffrent seating like a theater seat or maybe a small dining booth to make it more versatile. The tv though.. it needs to be dropped down... dont want to be calling the chiropractor for my neck because i bent it the wrong way trying to see the tv 😂 anyhow, thanks for showing us around nerd! #nerdherd #RVnerdherd
I like this one a lot. Very similar to the Rockwood 2109s we have. Pros to this one over ours is the full-size queen bed; love the big sink; the bathroom has a bigger shower and a cabinet behind the toilet. I really don't enjoy the clingy shower curtain, either, lol. The storage is great in such a small camper. The cons are few, the smaller oven, but at least it has an oven; and the tv's short swing arm. I like the amount and size of the windows. My personal opinion is it didn't appear to be on the dark on your video. Another great job, Josh. 😊
Cute camper. A bit snug for me. I'd definitely need some crisco to use the toilet. 😆 As far as the aesthetics of the newest Coachmen Freedom Express units...they look super nice. Love the exterior colors and the attention to detail in varying the graphics over the slide walls. also, love the rear wall logo, with the Dalmatian doggie. Thanks for awning tips. I'm still sheepish about man-handling my awning. I never had any real coaching on its use. I have one of the Solera Edge awnings on my Jayco 22rb, with the little thumb screw on the arm. I can loosen and dip the awning, but not sure if I retighten, leave unscrewed to replace or leave it or ...well, you get it. Thanks Josh!
I like this one. Particularly the entry door location and the full queen bed 👍🏾. It's kind of weird watching TV and microwave, though 😂. I guess I could cover my right eye lol😅.
Is that your manly truck next to that camper is the video lol! Nice small camper. Has great living space. Love how much room there is around the bed. Love these windows every were. The kitchen is ok. The storage is ok. The bathroom is to small for me. I give it a 5 out of 10 thank you.
Good setup. Concerns. Counter corner near bed could be more fully rounded. It still looks like a hip banger. Better arm on tv needed. Lighter tone on cabinets. It just seemed a bit too dark for the compact space. Safety items - rear camera or camera prep'd, and tire pressure monitoring. Too costly? Nix the oven. Even with the concerns, I'm putting this on my list.
For me it is overall a nice floorplan with good weights for my SUV. Personally, the changes I would like to see Coachmen make would be to make it no slide and dump the oven for a 2-burner stovetop, convection microwave, and a bit more kitchen storage. Those changes should help the weight, reliability, and price points as well. Per the Coachmen web site, it has the 2 burner, no oven setup instead of the oven in the one you are showing so maybe you got a pre-production model?
A true queen bed✅an oven✅a TV✅a porcelain toilet✅no cheap shower curtain✅and most importantly, a sofa instead of an uncomfortable 1950’s diner booth dinette✅but a 4” fart fan☹️cheap Chinese tires💥and no solar for off-grid camping😩is disappointing!
This is fantastic for what it is--an entry-level little run around weekender. I REALLY like it. Basics that keep the price lower. Thanks so much for showing this cute one! Take care. Edit: What is the next step up to the 19SE? That would be great to compare them. Thanks!
for what it is, i love it, the hybrid couch theatre seat setup is great for way it needs to be. dual swing arm for tv for sure, would really need that bad if made a no slide model or if you can sit on couch with slide closed. far as bathroom goes, i do not plan on sitting there all that often when out camping, worth sacrifice for a better shower and storage, a decent shower i would use more often for longer time than i would the throne... unless my dinner went horribly wrong. ... love rvs to have an oven.... not that i cook all that much, but oven foods is what i cook most often when i do cook. even if it can be put in microwave i rather cook it in oven, always comes out better, does not need to be any bigger than it is, perfect size, i dont see anyone wanting to cook a 25lbs turkey camping in this. cookies, bisckuts, pizza, sure, excellent camping food. easy enough to add your own struts to bed if you want to, once replace wafer of death.
Is this model completely replacing the 192rbs or is it just another similar option in a different/new model line? It almost seems like a 192rbs with fewer “extras” (e.g. less wall storage under the tv, no second table stowed underneath, no dresser drawers under bed, etc). Is the “select” line kind of the budget option for the ultra lite line now?
Where is this filmed at? It looks like a little mini Coachman sample park. I've always thought would be a very nice way to show several campers in a more natural / campsite format.
Is it possible to remove the 'couch' on those elevated slides if you wanted to instead retrofit in a desk/bar/table/storage solution? I can relax on the bed if I want, and a table/desk would be a lot more useful even with the non floor flush slide.
Random question. Is it any more difficult to replace a faucet in an RV than it is in your house? I feel like almost every one of these that I see would benefit from a kitchen faucet with a spray nozzle but they almost never include one.
I think it's the dark mattress that makes it feel darker. If you had light bedding on it, it would make a big difference. We just purchased a brand new 2025 Keystone Hideout 175 BH and so far we are really happy with it. It suits all three of us just fine and my mom when she decides she wants to go. For a camper in this class or price range, I think it has a lot to offer with the rooftop AC and an actual furnace and not a fireplace heater, tankless water heater for endless hot water, lots of storage for its size and the bunks so my son has his own spot out of the way which he's 10 so it works just fine. No oven but we never use the oven in the other camper so we were fine with that.
do the dealerships HAVE to inform the would-be customer where that RV came from? meaning, if it ¨survived¨ hurricane Milton or Helene and name the city/state it was at.

Definitely worth considering.
I did however miss the enthusiastic “utensil drawer.”😊
I love the Archer reference.
For the size, they did a great job!

We will be buying something in 2025 or 2026 so research is going on to see what we like. Josh is a big resource! This is a floorplan we like

Only thing I like about camper is bed length & fridge. I love your videos so I watch anyway 😂😂😂

I totaly agree with you Josh no slide needed and then maybe lighter isnt it ?
Nice! Another winner for the genre! I’m going to have to take a serious look at this one! It has definite potential for my first RV.

I rather like this one uncle Josh it works for what it is

Yes, the TV is terrible!!!
TY

Is there a dual axle that's 500 lbs lighter? Thinking no slide or sommat?
This would do quite nicely! ❤
9:57 + a few seconds… what or who’s voice was that? Also sorry you nailed your thumb. 👍🏽
its from a cartoon :) Archer that says phrasing alot
What did that voice say?

if you put a desk where the sofa is, you would have to be careful of chair placement and maybe alter the length of the table legs
I assume those cabinets are not solid wood?
That's a nice very basic trailer!

I just changed out both faucets in my camper last week. It was no different than my home faucet.
It's the same really
I would say easier as less water pressure, easier connections and hoses.

This one's good... nothing I see that would knock it off a consideration list. Trash cans people! 😂😂 probably my biggest grind 😂😂

I like the layout a lot but the rv looks old from the outside. Looks like a 2010s model. Not a deal breaker, just sayin
