- was my third flight with my new Ventus 3M with a nice long leg from CZ to France. The plane is really nice and easy to fly. Its like a little Arcus. I hope I can make a video of the details of this plane soon.
Schönes, lehrreiches Video! Glückwunsch zum neuen Flugzeug 👍🏼😎
The first of your videos I can across. The comments are very educational and helpful. Cool because this is my plane in Condor2. Please keep the videos coming.
Great video! And what an amazing plane!
Out of interest: How did you know 1:36 was gonna be more than 2m/s?
Awesome flight! Thank you for sharing. Out of curiosity, what made you choose to start flying self-launchers? Do you think it has cost you on weaker competition days due to the dry wing loading?
I’m enamored with the idea of investing in a self-launching Ventus some day. There’s only one V3M, one V2cxM, and eleven V2cM’s in the US at the moment, although hopefully more 3M’s will come over as production continues. For now, I’ll be sticking with a wonderful old Libelle, though.
I have only flown competitions with my old 2CXM but there was no day I would think to have a to high wing loading.
Why a classic Flarm Display and not FlarmView or Butterfly display? The latter has similar dimensions. (Just interested)
I had a butterfly in my last plane and then a FlarmView, trying to squeeze out as many information from other gliders as I could. Now I find this information overload distracting, I fly better without knowing the climbs of other pilots 5km in front. The old flarm display gives me the fastest to interpret info if there is really a collision alert and then I simply have to look out.
Great video ! I just have a question, why do you thermal between 100 and 120 km/h (if i can read the numbers correctly) if you don't have any water? can't you just thermal at 80km/h with flaps +2 ?
Wingloading is around 49 for me without water in this plane. So it would not be possible to thermal with 80km/h. In smooth thermals the lowest speed is around 100. Rough thermals need more.
What was the wingspan for this flight.
18m
Hi, i tried your setting and i am not sure. what difference makes the smart filter vario setted on 2 instead of desactived ? Thanks. Manu
Smart filter limits the maximum move speed of the vario needle. It prevents overswinging.
Thanks. Manu
;))😄😄😂 @LSVFlachkurbler
What polar do you have entered in the 9070? There is not one in the instrument database for the V3 or V3M so did you use the V2CxM or some other one?
I used a polar in LX9070 with the following settings. A=1.4, B=-2.9, C=2.16 Ref Load 49, Ref Weight 529kg. This polar was "hand designed" by me in Excel and it seems to work quite well for me.
Many thanks. I will use your polar data.
Is your flight on the OLC? If so can you give me the link? I have a V3M due for delivery later this year
Its OK - I found it
LOL computer calling out stall when the glider is going to a stop on the ground.
What is the bright and large “dot matrix” LED display above the altimeter? Vario Averager? MacCready calculator? Or flap position indicator? Danke

long distance and good comments. I prefer a video without x times speed up. It is to quick and it reduces the expercience.
ist das dein Flugzeug?
ja
