This performance is from The Next and Hua was a celebrity mentor and judge. Aspiring singers challenged the celebrity mentor with a song and Hua had 24 hrs to rearrange it whereas the contestant are stress free. During the final rounds, the aspiring singer chose with which mentor they wanted to sing a duet to be rearranged withing 24 hrs. Hua won this round against the other opponent opponent pairs. He gained widespread recognition for his talent in rearrangement and performance throughout this show
People said Hua's long breath could kiss a girl to death lol, I believe he could make it.

Love your reaction, you are so cute. This performance is one of my favorite although I love every performances from Hua Hua. His creative ability is amazing and his singing skill is extremely excellent. The long high note is unbelievable. How can he hold so long and powerful. Their harmony is too beautiful together. He rearranged the old folk song to this modern style within 24 hours is magical. Finally the cute smile can melt your heart. I must say this is masterpiece. Thank you for your funny reaction.
It’s two back to back long notes, same as he did in Spring but I feel he held them even longer in Nanping, absolutely breathtaking!
So glad you reacted to this cos not many do and it deserves respect, beautiful harmonies and that rap and vocals, everything else I was going to say has been said by other comments here, and your correct, the volume of this is low,you should react to more performances from the next too especially Heaven and watch the original by Tengri to see how Hua Hua rearranged it in 24 hours as he did with this (as someone has kindly provided a link of the original in these comments)
He also has another duet (I don't think a performance though. The music video is still super cool) called King and Beggar- where we see Hua Hua's wonderful higher range contrasted! One of my older favs, hope you can check it out :DD
Enjoyed your reaction and comments. Yes, we all get the "what?" reaction. Hua's duets are always epic. There's one with Gary Shaw in his debut on Superboy 2013, when he was 23 yrs old. Shows how great his voice was even then. Also on on The next show, Insignificance and others mentioned in the comments.

He believed in her so much which I honestly believe affected the outcome. He mentioned that he saw himself in her and no one can get a better compliment than that !

Like Hua Chenyu a lot. Here is a duet performance, 2018 Ep13 "Singer" with his friend G.E.M. She won 2nd in this show 2014 and is the best selling/popular female singer in China, Taiwan, HK, etc. today. You should also check her out, creative artist like Hua, writes her own music.

hahaha 38.76 out of ten.... now Martin, that is what I call a reaction... priceless!!! I love the harmonising by both of them, simply beautiful. Su Shiding is a great talent in her own right, her vocal colour & control is amazing; her solo performances were mesmerising too. Both of them seem to have an unspoken understanding of each other while Hua Hua had unabashedly declared his "love" (more like admiration) for her when she did her first performance. How you think up a random 38.76 in split second while sputtering along is an amazing achievement too hahahaha.... Cheers.

Highly recommend you to watch Mars Concerts on UA-cam. Though they are fan cam versions, you can feel the joy, freedom and warmth of Hua’s Mars Family😄😄😄

This song were written in 1951, and performed and become popular in 1958 by Tsui Ping...
The title is a reflection to "The Ringing Evening Bell of NanPing Hall", one of the "Ten Scenes of West Lake", and use that as a backdrop for one to express their feeling toward their lover...

My favourite duet ever. Su ShiDing (Juno Su = English name) obviously won (thanks to HuaHua for 50%). She got through the final two rounds by doing a duet with HuaHua. Epic and so glad they did. Later she competed with HuaHua in Singer 2018 😂
