We get a 12ga Visor, step boxes, mirrors and Shift fenders put on this truck. With only a few days to complete this unit we will be working some long hours to make it to MATS 2024!!!
This is how they should look from the factory. Peterbilt needs to have their engineers spend time with you guys.
Except for those ALIEN HEADLITES!!!!!
Then Brian and Tommy would be out of a job
Peterbilt has halted the 389.... trying to put lipstick on a pig won't make it happen...... not to mention all this work isn't FREE...
They could’ve made a cab smaller in the same style for the 589 and may the windshield 15:39 a little smaller had a front curb on the roof lights
@@6.0boyz The factory is jst doing this bcos now the have an the same cabs now from 589,567, etc. Now, they dnt have to have to make different cabs like the 379/389 style cabs anymore which doesn't make sense. BUT, Pete wants the same cookie cutter cabs that look more like cars than Trucks anymore
That new big window with the visor makes it look badass
Not to add any pressure don't forget to turn your clocks a head but it's getting there and it can almost be mistaken for a 389

I think y'all should swap out the 389/589 headlights for a set of 379 single squares! That would set the truck off beautifully.

Was very iffy on the 589 when they released them but this is a awesome ride and definitely changed my mind on them!
Looks 100% better. Still don't think I'm sold on the cab design itself but, everything you've done looks incredible. Don't get me wrong I'd be proud to drive it just prefer the classic look of the older trucks. trucks.
It needs the same headlights as that black 389 sitting next to it dual square headlights would really set that truck off
Oh I like that visor it really sets it off. I think you need a row of penny lights on the mirror head.

I think you have done an excellent job. To bad factory couldn’t could fix cab & hood to make it look like what you’ve accomplished. Can’t wait to see the final job when done.

Stainless insert on the panel on piece that was made for the lower cab interior of sleeper would DEFINITELY be SLICK!!!

Not a chop top! The lower roof looks great! Your modifications have turned the 589 into a cool looking ride.. I had my doubts when the 589 was first introduced, but you’ve shown everyone just how cool a ride it can be….Peterbilt owes you a big thank you!
I hope the peterbult factory takes note of the flat top. They need to offer the 589 flat top. I think it is definitely short sided on their part.
As a long time peterbult guy I would not buy the current truck as is.

That visor will help a ton when going down the road. It makes the windshield smaller and it’ll make it look like you’re driving at a good speed. I drove a 567 with a normal visor and at 70mph, it looked like you’re going 45. Big windshield seems like it slows the speed down
It looks a lot better and the transformation is tremendous, but I can't get over the dash. It reminds me so much of a Volvo dash.

Looks great. Really like the mods you picked out, changes a truck i wasn't crazy about when stock to a really nice ride.
This one is looking good. I still like the looks of flat tops a lot better, but it is really nice having more head room in the sleeper.
I'm not a fan of drop visors because I don't like losing 1/3 of my vision, but this one looks nice. I really like the polished boxes / steps...
Not sure about the cab lights. I've honestly never seen one done that way before so it takes a little while to get used to it, but the more
I looked at it, the more I like it. Not sure why, but for some reason the way the cab lights are reminds me of something that would have
been done back in the 70's. That's not a bad thing...

Visor on the doors look good I think I like using them when it raining a little.

Hi Brian trucks looking amazing out here in OZ we’ve had big windscreens for a long time. You guys will get used to it the only thing that I would change is to paint the fuel tank brackets black they stand out to much apart from that truck looks awesome. I was trying to get over there for MATS this year but stuff has happened. Hopefully next year 👍
Change the switches over to old school toggles change the covers over

Brian you guys gotta do something about those tank hangers. Put some old ones on. They don’t need to be seen. It doesn’t flow. The visor is cool but it is almost not enough up top to cover the windshield. Yada yada yada!!😂 whaaaaaa

It’s missing cab & sleeper 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch panels & it would set that mofo off but you guys made me a believer👍🏾 & should have hid the def that’s about but it’s 🔥
We are planing to do a lot more to this truck after Louisville. We also have cab/sleeper panels coming from 12ga next week
They did a really good job with what they could and it looks good but the 589 will never look as good as a 389. At least I can look forward to my truck appreciating in value since the number of 389s on the road will only be going down from now on.

I can't believe trucks don't have a version like this from the factory as an option. Who needs to climb 6 feet up into the cab when they can step up about 2½ feet?

The thing that I don't like on these beautiful truck from the factory are the painted wiring harnesses on the motor I've committed to Bruce Wilson about it if this were fixed it would be like a beautiful woman in red leather and black

Why haven't you guys made a tank that is equal in length to the passenger side that looks like one tank, but has two caps and is actually 2 tanks. One portion desiel and one portion def. It would look so much better.
