There will be negative things said about the 589, it won't be as well liked as it's ancestors, 359, 379, 389, it's better than not having a classic styled truck at all.
@@fishlips8336 that your opinion. 99 percent of people can’t tell the difference between the 389 or 589. The once who can, well they should be keeping their eyes on the road and not focusing so hard on others trucks.
Not even close to a 389 look, may as well buy a plastic truck. I feel bad for the newer drivers out here because this ain’t trucking. They have taken all the fun out of it.
@@Robert-bt8cp The 1 piece wind shield is not my Fav either!!!! I prefer the 2 piece as well bcos of the cost!!!!! Been licensed since '93. 4th gen Trucker here. I was nearly born in the Trk. My DAD drove my Mom 2 hospital in the truck when she went into labor. Our Fam is now in 5th generation of TRUCKIN here in TEXAS!!!!😎🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🇨🇱
What's new there? a few small things otherwise it looks like the old one, something like that is called a facelift. If you would docv the Vormen end like 2024 Volvo (which I don't like) but it's new but here, no, the few little things that don't make a new 589 what do you think???
Scotty, the one piece windshield let’s eat toooo much sun in and looks like an old plain FLD. I hope your for sake this truck sells, I want everyone to succeed if they work for it. Do you have any new 389’s for sale?
Yeah have to admit PACCAR did a good job with styling by Gooberment Motors, sorry don't care for the dash, switches are pointed away from the driver, I'm retired so my opinion doesn't count it is what it is..........................time goes by but things stay the same, don't let the government touch anything.
Good Evening, This is a real tragedy to be honest with you. I’ve been licensed since 96’ and I’m still driving now, my bet is this will be a huge flop for Paccar. The analogy I’ll use would certainly be much different than yours. You say often throughout the video “nice addition, like a 579 or 567.” Why on earth would someone want the truck? If you want a plastic truck without a hood go buy one, the shorter hood looks like cloning gone wrong; or the engineers work in a state where smoking a phat one is legal. They are running good guy/gals right out the business. Take a closer look at the hood, doesn’t it remind you of cousin Billy Bob cut off truck bed on a pinto mobile, just sayyyin folks. Imagine paying 200k for this, WOW.
I completely agree. The newer drivers may like it, not sure why. The hood is much too short and they’ve crammed too many things together. Kinda looks like gut surgery gone wrong here. The good news is we still have the W9, when they pull that off line many good drivers will hang it up for good.
Was looking at the video from the start until you showed me the dash, what a horrible looking dash it's like looking at a TV screen, i rather have the full gauges, what junk they created,, on one of the best looking peterbilts thry had.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 to the designers at Peterbilt for keeping the classic look.
It certainly resemble it's father 389, as it's from same bloodline.❤
They definitely kept it where it looks like a Peterbilt. Sharp looking truck. If I was to get a new truck I might have to have the boss get me one.
This is the perfect truck. The look of the classic 389 and 359 with the room of the 579. Pete, got this all right
Love it!! Way better job updating a Classic then the 990 by Kenworth.
Stil got the classic look...I do like it 👌
None of us really like the look of the 389 when it came out the 589 will grow on us eventually
Those all new Western rides in the background? Time for some custom Western stuff!
There will be negative things said about the 589, it won't be as well liked as it's ancestors, 359, 379, 389, it's better than not having a classic styled truck at all.
Very nice semi.
How long before you can get the ultraloft in a 589? It will look exactly like a freightliner classic with the ultra loft.
It honestly looks just like a 389, people are just complaining to complain

Interior has ton of room better than 389x
Nice cant wait to order one
When it was debut 2 the public the things that hurt it is that only having 6 real gauges & dash looking more like an automotive than an trk
I also can’t stand that the switch for the lights is now a turn knob, like you’re saying looking like an auto
Terrible, been licensed since 96'. The one piece windshield is horrible along with well most everything else.

Think it looks great, would have been nice to have a retro looking steering wheel but hey, you cant have everything lol
Atleast Peterbilt kept long hood and big breathers...not a fan of that type wood grain on dash maybe a matte finish look better
The only thing I dislike are the air cleaners, will they be able to put some air cleaner lights on them ?
What transmissions are available for that new truck 😊
Love it
What's with all those Western trucks in the background?
I prefer the 379 long hood with gauges! Not an electronic dash with electronic gauges!!!!
I kinda like the v kinda reminiscent of a needle nose, only wider.
Beautiful truck how much
what's the chassis weight difference from 389 vs 589?
It's like an international the window and kenworth
How much storage space under the bunk?
what's the price on this truck you are showing. Just get to the bass
All those nice pretty Western distributing trucks in the back if anybody can make the 589 look good it'll be Western
Nice!
The perfect truck. Peterbilt you got this all right
Refrigerator on the floor! Hey, Peterbilt, is your home refrigerator on the floor? Ridiculous!
Still looks like a pete, I dont like the big windscreen, should be a split window option !
why doesn't anyone show the engine ?
Just bring back the 389. You and government managed to fuck up a real icon of American trucking.
That government of ours would royally fuck up a wet dream
and we went to the moon in 1968 😂
Peterbilt did the samebthing Kenworth did a w990 is a 680 with a classic hood 589 is a 579 with a classic hood
Was that a automatic??
Automated*. And yes.
no inside the hood view

Caminhão Peterbilt é meu Sonho. Algum Americano para me presentear com um Peterbilt Usado. Agradeço de Coração. 🇧🇷🇺🇸🇮🇱👍👏🙏
It's a peterbilt, from 50 feet they all look the same.
It just don"t look right with the new cab .😏
it's ez just say 579 with a hood. That's all it is.
🚛🇺🇸🗽💯

Peterbuilt made a bad mistake that’s what’s wrong with this country the government wants to tell you when to eat what to do
Peterbuilt just ruined the Peterbuilt trucks that looks stupid and ugly
It won't sell, get the 389 back.
It's a Peterbuilt. It'll sell.
They said the same thing about the W990 and it’s selling.

Hate the radios
i don’t like what was done, but let me tell you peterbilt could’ve done WAY worse than this🤷♂️🤷♂️
That's ugly reminds me of kw 990 that was a flop. I guess I will be redoing my 389
Sick of these Automatic trucks!!! Bump EPA they should have voted for Al Gore....

Slowly, but surely Peterbilt is turning in to a gay truck.
Oh God that interior is awful
Junk
at the time it had taste today it's ugly👎👎
What the wheelbase on this one ?
