This actually is pretty close to the quality that I wouldn't mind seeing for a fight cutscene in a game. The problem with Halo 5's Chief vs Locke cutscene is that 343-era Halo wants to paint itself like its super awe-inspiring and high-budget, like a movie from Hollywood or something, yet you see these big clunky hulks that can't move for shit just bitch slapping each other and constantly looking like they're about to trip over. It really comes off like a "bad" hollywood movie or "bad" TV show where yeah the production values are there but the actual skill isn't, like when you see the whole "shakey cam" effect in a movie where it feels like its designed to mask bad cinematography. THIS fight scene, although its intentionally stiff and camp, I wouldn't mind to see something like this more polished because this is taking advantage of the cheesy, stupid fun of a video game. Its like Solid Snake fist fighting Revolver ocelot or something. In those contexts it works because its cheesy and over the top and it knows it is and plays off it. The problem with Halo 5 is Halo was basically making a complete departure from being "video gamey" in the old way and instead trying to be "video gamey" in the modern way where everything has to present itself as stern and serious. Modern games are generally more dry and deadpan compared to what we used to get (which i personally dont like but to each their own). But 343 doesn't really know how to work within that style, like they don't have the skillset to deliver it. In Halo 5, Cortana basically comes off like a cartoon villain, but its not deliberate as part of "video game fun", its just badly presented. Its basically like the term "uncanny valley" (in the artistic world, it basically means like you're forced between delivering one of two extremes, otherwise the end product comes off awkward). You can choose to be cheesy and fun and take advantage of that (it gives you flexibility in a way, like it gives you artistic freedom to be "more stupid"), or you can be stern, bleak, and serious but that means you have to commit to the fullest level to deliver that properly. If you try to go in this serious/dry direction but you can't deliver it effectively, then you're just worse by being in this awkward middle. 343 is basically the awkward middle. Thats why the Locke fight scene is unbearable but this at least is fun because it knows what it is, it delivers what it seeks out to be, whereas anything in Halo 5 can be cringe because you know what the game is wanting you to feel and it's trying SO hard, yet its clumsier and more awkward than this fight scene thats intentionally being stupid and goofy... thats it in a nutshell basically I think the benefit of the cutscenes in Halo 1 through Reach is they worked within their limitations. Halo 2's cutscenes are way better than Halo 5, even though relatively speaking, they're low budget, have static animation, and the environments are the ones you get in game. But they worked because they didn't try stuffing anything over the top in them. You used them for your necessary slow drama moments or to convey characters talking, with small animation setpiece bits to make them fun and visually interesting. The most you would see in like, Halo 2, was Chief dropping the bomb through space or Chief and Arby being held by the Gravemind's tentacles. They never did crazy action setpieces in cutscenes. Maybe you'd think that's not a bad thing but point is thats A LOT of work to do. I think Bungie knew they couldn't effectively do complex live fight choreography, not just as a technical limitation but as a matter of skill and resources (it just wasn't something they were in-house equipped to do), and they didn't "need" it either so they didn't do it. Whereas 343, maybe you might like the "spirit" of what they tried to do, but thats why there are so many things we can laugh at or call tacky
Apparently there is a floating spartan in space on one of the space forge maps in halo infinite , i was surprised i never noticed. You should do a video on it maybe there is lore behind it ?
General kid can we please get MC models next to Reach models. h3 ODST models next to the Spartans is like to see the height differences think that would be cool and interesting to see
Noble Six makes a good simulated sparring partner for Master Chief. On account that Spartan's all get report M.I.A feet first into hell. See you on the battle field they say. We should have a Chief vs Cheaters, Screamers & Toxic Try Hard +Rage Quilters & the like if the inhumanly top highest kill count ratio mlg social mode crashers that Solely belong only in ranked because of their try hard play style and lack of etiquette around idling individuals that might be reading or sending a text within the first half minute of a match.
I didn't like how Xbox refresh goes to the home screen & you can't see or hear anything when the in game matches start. Remember that removed one guide screen within the screen & additional audio feature for experiencing media such as music or video feeds while you play? Microsoft false advertising in a nutshell. It was not as taxing of a feature as say running windows on a potato laptop. 😂😹🤣
I get that it was removed from standard Xbox ONE & than they deliberately punish the Fans of the Feature not even a month after the feature was removed from Xbox ONE. I think it was called the snap feature.
Better than the chief vs Locke fight in halo 5
It literally is that fight just with the master chief and noble 6 models
@@halocemagnum8351no very few of the animations are the same
@@halocemagnum8351It's better because -343i- Halo Studios didn't make it.

For a second I thought it was going to be a skin swap of the knife fight from Turok
This looks like a low budget version of HaloFollower’s Master Chief vs Noble 6 animation video 😂
0:35 I'd recognize the Mixamo knife guy stance anywhere
I used so many of these Mixamo animations, I caught on early haha
Absolute cinema
Pure kino
@@joehill4094 Absolutes kino
Funny… I thought this was an Altehros video.

HaloFollower Ghost of Reach leak:
someone recently discovered mixamo animations lol
Thought for sure this was going to be a skin swap of the chief vs locke fight hahaha
Very cool!
Why do they look silhouetted out? Usually on the Powerhouse map you can see the colors of the armor
This is the best AI battle ive seen
These last couple uploads are like Altheros videos lol🤣
Gives me Red vs Blue vibes
This shit like red vs blue but 100x better
Freindly spar goes south
Ready
How ‘bout you!!!
ABSOLUTE CINEMA 🤚🏻😐✋🏻
Master Chief takes Six in a fight but in all fairness, Six is only 23 and has inferior gear
General kid can we please get MC models next to Reach models. h3 ODST models next to the Spartans is like to see the height differences think that would be cool and interesting to see
What did I just watch
Are you getting the same itch Ive been getting?
valid
Bruh the kill was unnecessary, noble was gonna surrender
Is this real?
Yes
😂😂

But after receiving hardware like the series x and the series s, you'd think that, the snap feature would be simple to re-implement!?
Hey
lol wtf
I want a mod where you can play as helmetless Spartans
this was horrible lol
No it wasn't😢
bro its a shitpost thats the point
I love you, man, but these are kind of cringe
No this is peak modern halo
Peak 2$ budget fight scene, hope Microsoft learn from them.
