Got the Shuttlepro V2! Been using it for a year now- so many people are sleeping on it. But about to change the game with this loupe deck. Thanks for the video.
Another good review as usual.. but I feel the loupedeck is more for lumetri and shuttle is definitely for editing.. I wish there was a controller with just the knobs for lumetri basic panel..
Jumbo Dumbo yeah me too. I’ve found myself using the shuttle way more than the loupedeck but I guess that’s because I had it first. There are some big bits missing from loupedeck a software which would make it into an amazing editing peripheral but hopefully they will sort that one day
Has anyone tried to map the rollers as audio faders to mix audio? It seems like such an obvious thing that should be attempted with 8 perfect rollers here.
I would too. I’m always trying to customize shortcuts with my peripherals to work better. I use an Apple Magic Trackpad, a Wacom Intuos (instead of my mouse) and a MX Revolution (sometimes)....but just got a Loupedeck for my Photography and Video Editing needs. I don’t really need any more input devices but each one has its place.
Juan Pablo Darmanin hi thanks for the comment. I don’t think it’s possible on the loupedeck plus but almost certainly possible with the loupedeck ct :)
I would never support or buy any crap from this company again. They handicapped the original Loupedeck, and won't allow to work in premiere. The software sometimes get glitchy, sometimes it's faster with a mouse, and keyboard short cuts. I was the original indiegogo backer. They shipped the unit out late after they raise enough money to sell in retailers. And also sold it cheaper than the original backer of this products. They forgot about us after they made their money. Horrible company.
I came across to your channel as I was looking to learn more about this device. This panel looks fun but honestly, I can do all of this with shortcuts. The danger of relying on this panel is if you ever have to use another workstation where this device won't be there, you might feel lost.
Very good point. I’m always at my own computer when I edit but I guess for people who use different machines a lot this might not be the best solution. Have you seen my video of the shuttle pro v2?
@@ChrisWatkinsMedia No. I'll check it out. But yes if you just use your own set up is worth investing in gadgets that. makes your life more comfortable. I am quite keen on trying this device with Lightroom though.
Are you using the shuttle in conjunction with the loupedeck+? I have a large project and am wondering if I could use the shuttle if I have the loupedeck. I was going to just use the Loupedeck+ for Lightroom, but now I realized I can use the deck for video editing. I’m wondering if I should just learn how to use that first. I like the idea of using my left hand with that controller and my mouse/loupedeck. I’m already a bit overwhelmed with the deck. The controller seems simpler. Any thoughts would be extremely appreciated. Which do you find yourself using?
Digital Ninja® to be honest when I edit videos the most useful device I own in the shuttle. There is a video about it specifically on my channel and how I use it. The loupedeck is great for colour correction but I find myself forgetting about it and just using the shuttle. Any questions please fire away :)
What's the feature set you find yourself using on the shuttle? I'm wondering if the express is "good enough" in conjunction with the deck? If you were going to setup the keys on the Shuttle EXPRESS, which keys would you keep?
Hey there Chris! How are the increments handled on those small dials. Can you set up how fast and by what increment an adjust increases or decreases with each rotation? I saw that it jumped in 0.5 increments when you twisted the diak
It doesn't look as though it can at the moment but maybe in future updates it will happen? Keep an eye on the loupedeck facebook page as this is where I saw that premiere was now supported.
Playing through at different speeds with audio is a what the JKL keys do on your keyboard, often called JKL scrubbing.
Came here to say this ^^ To speed up the footage just hit the L key multiple times.

Awesome one, funny how this works, I was looking into Loupedecks website and your video pops in suggestions.. keep up the good work.
DK Media thanks mate glad you enjoyed it. And you too!
yea they got us good with the algorithms! haha
about to buy one, awesome review Chris
I have never understood the purpose of background music in instructional/review videos. It’s very distracting and competes with the narrative.
After watching this video I’ve decided to make a purchase! My Shuttle Pro will be here soon! 🤗
Adam Long right choice!

MR. BOOM thanks 😊
Hi! Great video! I would like to setup my loupedeck + in premiere pro for adjust the keyframes value. Is it possible?

Try to press D1 tool. It will toggle between your zoomed in state and fit timeline to screen state. Very handy.
D2 press will insert edit point :)
Karo Holmberg brilliant thank you I will give it a try! I’m so impressed with how well it works!

Thanks for the comment! I’d love a sub if you liked the video :)

It’s definitely good fun if nothing else! Thanks for the sub!
just got my hands on my loupedeck+, cheap clicky plastic crap for $250. there are better ways to spend this money.

Digital Ninja® to be honest I use every key on my shuttle pro now. I absolutely love it and don’t think I could go down to a shuttle Express now....
@@ChrisWatkinsMedia if you had to program an Xpress though (in/out pts, cut, what and what? ) What would be your 5?
Any way to fix latency?
If theirs a delay it's almost useless.
Play forward [l]. play forward faster [ll]. That's lower case 'L'
Music?
Can this be used with FCPX?
Dom Balls I don’t believe so at the moment but I’m sure they must be working on it!

Keren Wang Hi Keren, I’m not sure off hand and I’m away filming at the moment but I’ll take a look for you when I’m home :)
@@ChrisWatkinsMedia Did you find the answer? Good video by the way!

no problem :)
It is possible now. :-)
its J and L to speed up and reverse the timeline and keep the sound just to let you know
