That Ribble SLE sure is a fancy e bike. With that carbon frame I can see why the owner would want it repaired. I once had an old BMW that I replaced its pistons with Mahle made pistons. Not sure if its the same company. Great video as always!
I’m just waiting for a replacement battery for my 3 year old Orbea Gain from my LBS, they are charging me £690 for the battery and about £100 for refitting, how long was delivery for the battery?
Thanks for your vidéo, very interesting. I have an Orbea gain with an old battery. I just bought a New one and it doesn't work. I have a green and pink flashing light. Do i have to go to a repair center or IS there a procedure to launch it ? Thanks
@@EbikeRepairs thanks, bad news for me,i like to repair all by myself, 2 hours lost to remove and replace the old battery. I hope my repair center does the job and not lost 650 euros.
Dont get anything with Mahle in it , no customer support and products that fail after very little use - a software update killed mine and nearly £1000 to get it fixed
When purchasing a bike, along with specs should be repair options, "DIY, Authorised Repairer or Factory only" so at least you know what you are getting into. I hate this proprietary shit with a passion. Give me a generic bike using generic parts any time.
Extra plug is for an ANT+ connector you can buy for the older X35 system & also its a PAS connector for the cadence sensor on the rear ring of magnets
Thanks!

Same company, different department I believe. Thanks :)
This is why i prefere my diy builds. If something breaks its a ten minute job to swap it and a million times cheaper. Good vid tho dude
I agree totally! This looks pretty but it's an expensive fix
lets just not buy this bike , pulling fast ones on clients , very informative content thanks for sharing
My pleasure:)

Sounds like they're barely making a profit! When they're in stock they're usually delivered pretty quickly.

@@JuchPhoto as far as I know mahle need to activate it, change serial numbers etc. so it may never work without getting it to them.

Oh that's not good! 😭

This is also super expensive! £650 for the battery pack
You can buy a battery and fit without bike details so that isn't correct
@@andrewlancefield3730 interesting - I'm just going on what the mahle technical team told me, assuming they are telling the truth
That thing is nightmare to maintain. I wonder how many people will just throw it away after 2 years of riding because noone will want to repair it.
Agreed!
