The draw one the VXR or V3 are extremely aggressive. The RevoltX has a much cleaner, smoother draw cycle. The giant cams on the Matthews make it very uncomfortable

I shot the v3 next to the revolt x and felt like the v3 shot a little smoother. But thay is just how it felt to me. The big different i found between the 2 was the vibration dampening for sure. V3 was much nicer bare bow.

Don't shoot Mathews. They're a marketing brand, not an innovating brand. Slow and heavy. Same old shit. and this is coming from a Vertix owner. Also- The vertex is faster than the newer bows. Never owning another Mathews

@@JpDanger Are you not satisfied with your Vertix? Mathews isn't just trying to make fast bows, but rather accurate, forgiving, and fast bows. I shoot a Z7 that is almost as fast as the new bows, but it is not as efficient and quiet as the Vertix, VXR, and the V3. BTW Mathews is an innovation brand. Go back and look at the history and the dozens of patents that they have.

@@ronniefreeland8840 they used to innovate. Been awhile.. I like my vertix. It’s quiet. Smooth. Solid back wall. But it’s heavy and shoots slow for 73-74#. I went to get a VXR because they marketed it so well everyone said it was awesome. But it doesn’t really offer anything a different brand doesn’t. I shot the vxr and vertix side by side and the vxr was slower but otherwise felt about the same just cost more. I’ve seen where many others said the same. Now they’re saying the dampener is smaller?! @@jd8745 they claim it’ll shoot 350. But ibo rating is basically the fastest a bow can possibly sling a super lightweight stick. Not any arrow you’d ever hunt with. I have the vertix- which is faster than the VXR. Shooting 525 grain at 282. That’s not impressive at 73.5#. I’m not saying Mathews are slow. But they’re slower than others available for the price. And not more forgiving. All modern bows are good. I just think it’s insulting that Mathews comes out with VERY SLIGHTLY different stuff and lauds it as so innovative when it’s sometimes not even better than the previous year

The 27 inch version pretty well is about the same speed as the 31 inch version. They rated the 27 inch version shooting a 29.5 inch draw and the 31 inch version at 30 inch draw which is norm. That calculates to about 5 fps difference because of draw length. If you could shoot the 27 inch model at 30 inch draw you'd be around 341 fps.

What Arrow Are you using for your hunting set up and what is your finished weight with broad head?
    I just ordered my V3 31
    I’m a 28” draw
    Shooting 70 lbs.
I am torn between the X impact and the rampage and the Spartan.
I’m not sure if I like the idea of the outserts on the X impact.
Was thinking about going with the rampage with the half out inserts.
    Decisions decisions.
    I’m a whitetail treestand hunter.
The max distance I would ever consider shooting a deer would be 40.
However I will shoot up to 100 yards in my yard when I’m out there practicing.
My broadhead of choice is the QAD Exodus fixed straight back.
My BowTech wants to build me a 490-500 grain X impact. That’s a heavy arrow.
I’ve been shooting a 417 grain arrow out of my Triax for last 3 years without any issues getting past Thrus.
I’m willing to step up to a 450 or a 460 grain finished arrow weight.
If I go up to 500 I will be shooting 250 ft./s. I want to be able to keep my speed around 265-275 Feet per second.
    Any advice would be appreciated

But I also can remember parallel limb technology being new. The parallel limb solocams will be the best compounds ever made in my very biased opinion. Just something about them engraving in my mind that that is what a compound should be.

I'm sure the newer bows have less vibration and may be a little more stable. Mathews has pushed the limits with technological advances. Unfortunately, I think they are hitting a ceiling. I think they are trying to find the next big thing. The current bows are so efficient I'm not sure they will be able to make huge leaps, but rather just small improvements each year.

Having a bow like this may seem unattainable, but all you gotta do is work hard, and eventually you could have one. Just 1 year ago all I had was a genesis bow to shoot for my school team as an 8th grader, but now I have more than 5 bows, one consisting of the Mathews TRX 38 g2. Just keep pushing and one day you’ll get there!!!

@@bowhuntordie Awesome news and great review. Short and sweet, to the point. I definitely will be looking out for that. I have been wanting to upgrade from my old PSE that I have had since 06. Thankfully Mathews do make LH bows for a cross dominant shooter like myself.
