If you are a train enthusiast, I recommend a stop in Como, just a few miles east of FairPlay. A historical organization has renovated on old round house and train station. There is a working stream locomotive and various rails cars around the property. Check their summer schedule for the annual train weekend.

Saw several videos showing the railroad upgrades in Como. Someone said there was discussion of extending the rails back up to Boreas Pass. Interesting prospect, but highly unlikely with out-of-state landowners howling about returns to the good old days. Same in Georgetown, where the Georgetown Loop doesn't even get into the town from Silver Plume due to competing property issues (the abandoned RR grade is still there). At least that is what I recall from 10 years ago. Thanks..

Keep the videos coming, they’re really interesting. It’s awesome you’re getting to all these small towns most people overlook.

Great video! I love visitng fairplay in the summer when staying in Breckenridge. It's a lovely town and fun to do some prospecting in. Plus the prices of everything seemed phenominal to me

This Colorado community is a dumpster fire! I live in Park County and avoid spending any money or time there if at all possible. Probably the crapiest town in Colorado I’ve been to on the Front Range. Go see for yourself, but be careful! They don’t even have cops patrolling the streets from 7pm to 7am
