Shane, I think you under-estimate our desire to watch everything. XD I would 100% put on a 2 hour panning video... I don't have the means to go out panning, but I find your video relaxing.
Hey Shane! One prospector to another, thank you for realistic outcomes from your gold trips (not just gold porn). It's awesome that you're giving people an idea of what real prospecting is like for the average hobbyist miner. Also, every time I find color in my pan these days, your "reveal" guitar riff pops in my head! 😂
Heck yeah! That's a good cleanout! I'd love to find a third of that lol. Finding even a few flour flakes in the wild, really prospecting, is more satisfying than buying a fat bag of paydirt. Cuz you found it instead of buying it.
Totally all about getting in the great outdoors and enjoying some self mental health grounding. Rivers, kriks, streams all cancel my tinnitus the shiny stuff is just a bonus! Thanx Shane 👍🍻⛏🇬🇧Rob
Awesome video Klesh. I have been panning in Minnesota and can't get enough of it. Flour gold and small flakes, but so worth the adventure. I had a blast panning out your paydirt, nice gold and lots of gemstones, thank you.
This is the second time for me watching this video. I had to after I went up(for work) and found some nice crush samples of deteriorating quartz that was amazing! It had a lot of pyrite but after a fine crushing, some nice gold. More than I found straight panning.
🤣😂 this a hilarious when UA-cam Creators do crossover shout outs. OPE, back to the Frozen Tundra for me. Great video, hopefully I can talk the wife into heading to FairPlay CO for a few days of fun.
great photography on magnetics, I can clearly see how gold can be picked up with the magnet and trapped there by the magnetics .Great idea to do it several times and still pan it out. great video
I really enjoyed this vid. I have many yards of old tailing piles to go through, never thought of doing what you are doing.( the tailings are from the early 1900's) Thank you Shane!!
First time commenting on your videos! I'm from just outside Glasgow, Scotland and just watched your videos from over here! They have inspired me to buy some Scottish paydirt. Unbelievable fun 👍
Excellent video, Shane. Nice footage at the dredge site and the magnet footage is mesmerizing for some strange reason. Great methodical process for your at home cleanup. Thank you both for sharing.
Hey Boss Just finished The paydirt I picked up from you. I have to give you credit, I have enjoyed the anticipation and panning it out more than anything in a long time! The value is terrific, never get tired of seeing the golden smile looking back at me from the pan. The crystals ,coin and the guitar pick are an excellent touch. .7 grams and 4 pickers was awesome ,definitely a bonus bag Thanks Happy to do business with you, Hope to meet you on the Goldfields some time! P.S. flower gold is tough.
Worked Fairplay back in 78-79 averaged a little over 1 1/4 oz.p/m. Sun-up to sun down 5 days a week. Left Feb. 79 got to cold and got tired of breaking ice every morning.
I've been thinking about going up to Fair Play. I joined the Colorado Gold Prospectors and they own a claim up in beaver creek. Just got a Gold Hog steam sluice... we'll see how that works out. Have fun everybody!
Loved the shout out to the flour gold wizards! No offense he is my favorite miner out there on you tube. Mostly because he is relatable to my gold prospecting. Plus he's funny as hell lol! I prospect for fun! For the money I spend prospecting and driving around its impossible to make money in Wisconsin panning gold. I like the shiny bits!
The old dredges would reject anything bigger than a couple inches including gold. I've heard a few stories about people finding large nuggets just laying on the tailings. Nice video thanks.
I'm in Boulder and my company has every bit of dirt that's been coming out of the ground here the past few years and up until now. It's from all the construction going on around town and we have an agreement to collect it all to raise our property level up. I'm 90% sure it all untouched deep earth and Id love to know if it might have gold in.
I bet you are wishing for some of that cooler air now. It looked like you guys had a pretty good day out there. Your sluice worked great and you found some good gold. Thanks Shane, really enjoyed your video.
I got extremely lucky on my last bag of paydirt I bought I got a massive flat awesome looking nugget it almost looks like a country or a state I ended up with two guitar picks an awesome autograph which is on everyone but still 😁I got some sort of ancient coin or I think it was an ancient and well over a gram of gold almost close to a gram and a half at least that’s what my scale said really really fun probably I know it was a bonus bag but the most fun I had with a bag of paydirt definitely worth it
Shane could do a river water bubbling over rocks music, Colorado waters... Shoot a video for YT like they do those Christmas fireplaces...3-4 hour video for relaxation. Some get millions of views. Shane ? 😉 Oh and i love the dog at 14:07, seems relaxed and at peace.
Klesh, just a thought mate. Have you ever tried getting to the end of a pan and using the magnet on the reverse side of the pan to pull away the black sand . It'd make for a good visual and may help with separating good from bad.
Hey klesh love your videos keep it up just order now my second paydirt from you in a week time one is for my father who also follows you for his birthday and we will have a little challenge to see who may get the better back and who does a better job at panning but keep up the great videos klesh
Thank you for another great video. What is the acoustic guitar I hear around the 19 minute mark? I've heard it many times, but don't know the artist. Thank you!
Wooo hoo you got the rock yew I can see an AWSOME calibration coming up man Nice little pan Shane indeed mate Any gold is good gold It’s hard to find and not many know how Cool 😎 bro nice work Crouch Oz

Nice gold, i am planning on going to fairplay this spring, If your ever down in New Mexico give me a holler The GPAA claim grayback is a good claim you would enjoy it but its dry there so you have to dry wash or bring water and run recir
Nice, im going to have to check fairplay out sometime soon, i usually just go to clear creek or swan river. Unrelated but wow is arbor fabricatings shipping price pretty crazy high, definitely made me not do the order i was wanting to. 50$ to ship something ground ... that package better weigh like 35 pounds.
My relatives owned rights for mining the London Mine in the 1970's...I was there as a kid. Local Fairplay bar back then, had a radio station manned by the bartender. He would take breaks to man his station.
Great Video Shane. Surfacton to keep the gold from floating away. I think thats all you had to say for newbies in the hobby and no you may never get rich from panning but like Metal detecting you never know what you come up with. Clearly you could of found a nugget easily if there was one to be found and that would of been sweet. Over all at the end of the day it was a great and enjoyable hunt. HH TC AL
That Bazooka Gold Trap needs way more water flow going over it. It’s not the size of the gravel you shoveled into it. Once you get the angle and water flow right you will be moving a lot of buckets.
Nice Work Shane! Great video. I gotta ask, What do you do with the tiny garnets? Will anyone buy them or do you just keep them in your collection? Thanks
Low key the sound of the magnetic stuff hitting the magnet is very satisfying. And klesh if you are reading this comment or anyone else, can you tell me what the plastic tube is that you put on the magnet to get all the magnetic stuff.
Back in the 80s a couple of guys I knew would go and rework old mining spots from the 1800s and what I understood they did pretty good. At least that’s what they said they were doing. I thought they had a Meth Lab somewhere 😂. Now that I think about it I’m sure the old miners missed a lot of small gold

I've been saving mine for a few years, about 20 grams so far.
The adventure is worth every penny. Not to mention the fresh air and scenery.... and that's pretty much priceless.

Yes!! It's fun! A bad day of gold mining is better than a great day at work!!

Shane, have enjoyed all of your videos but I think the noise the magnetic stuff makes is the best part!! Am glad I subscribed.✌👍😎
The magnet is so satisfying! Happy 4th sir! 🇺🇸
That sluice box looks amazing. Really nice place and love that you are mindful of digging round the bushes 😎
Ngl, his vids are actually entertaining as hell. I'm watching it and I like biology more than mining and geology.
