- Are you looking for the best and cheapest place to eat Thai food at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport? I suggest you check out Street Food By Magic (formerly known as Magic Food Point) food court which is tucked away on Level One on the same floor as the taxis.
Magic Food Point is a Typical Thai food court with typical Thai prices, at least half of what you will pay if you eat through departures!
There are stalls selling duck noodles, noodle soup, pad Thai, pork leg stew (khao Ka Moo), and Halal food and the best soup I've ever eaten in an airport - guay jub nam kon!

If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!

An easier to locate the food court is "Gate 8, 1st Floor". There's an elevator next to it which sometimes its very crowded. Kao Mun Kai is good too. Cheers.

Oh my days!!! What a hidden gem!! How are earth have I missed this? I used to fly to Bangkok for business 8-10 times a year for 5 years and not one of my clients or Thai friends shared this with me. LOL!!! I can't believe I've missed out on this. Hope to visit either later this year or early next.

When I was there last time to catch the second last flight to Heathrow before total lock down, I never knew of it before and my friend Somporn took me to it. It was lovely to have a last great cheap meal before leaving Thailand 🇹🇭. The crispy pork was very good 😋😋🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Before this place, all the Thai workers used to come to Level Zero.
This resto is set up basically for the airport workers.
The 7-11's pre passport control also have near normal street prices.
Tip,
Cheapest ATM/money changers are on this level one.

I love this food court at Bangkok International Airport. We always drop-in for a meal before leaving Bangkok. Very cheap and delicious!

the best value around. So fun to stop in there and eat while waiting for my bus to Pattaya after arriving from the USA. Gets crowded sometimes, can be challenging to get a decent seat sometimes. But it gives one a feel for Thailand right away after arriving. Just down from where you catch the buses

Arriving at BKK from Germany three months ago, this place is my first stop after getting my luggage.
Ran directly to Khao Rad Gaeng and ordered Pad Ka Prao right away.

Cheap beer at this airport tip for you. Many thanks for that great tip. I checked it out last night after dropping a friend off at Suvarnabhumi Airport. I live in Bangkok and have used this airport it since it opened and didn't know there was a food court. Fabulous find. Also I noticed there was no beer being sold. Other eating places charge 3 times the usual price, 175 baht for small Chang. My tip for you and your viewers is there is a 7 Eleven store on 3rd floor in front of gate 10. I got big can of Chang for 63 baht! Love a cold Thai beer with my Thai spicy food.
That is the best tip of all time! I didn’t know you could bring beer in! The prices through departures for a chang are insane

I wish I'd known about this place in 2017 when I was in Krung Tep. me and my nephew ate in the upper level restaurant and we paid around 800 Thai Baht for just a simple meal. Next time I go to the airport I know where to eat now. Thanks for this

So jealous of you living in Thailand and being so close to your home land of UK. Living here in the States, Ca. . Minimum 16 hour plus for a 1 stop flight. I would definitely be back to Thailand when I get at least a 3 weeks vacation time.

Agreed, I’m from NYC and it takes forever to get to Asia. London is a reasonable flight to so many places (all over Europe, northern Africa, Middle East, South and Southeast Asia and North America.
@bruce wayne...I live in Texas. It takes me about 4 hours I think to LAX if flying on American or United then 2-5 hrs layover in San Fran on United if there's any gate open (Ijs) from there it's probably 12 hours to the other layover. If flying on Korean it's 14hrs straight to Seoul then 2 hrs layover and 5 hrs from Seoul to BKK and that's from DFW.
@@kellyrios8179 It's all the layovers and how many stops along the way. So daunting to take so long to get to BKK. I do love Korean air though, they have great food choices on their international flights.

I always go to 7eleven to but the rice bowl there just only 60thb or in the ground floor for the food ... Miss the connecting flight from VTE to Bkk to Mnl ❤️

Recommend any hotel at a reasonable price and pick up and drop off at airport near suvarnaphumi airport but close to street food and shopping center.
There are so many to choose from but I don't really spend much time around that area sorry! I'd hate to give you the wrong information

Its cheap and located inconspicuously because it was meant for Thai staffers at the airport, not tourists. If too many travelers started using it, then those staffs---who are in the lower income strata---will have a harder time getting their lunches.
Gary I’m impressed with your Thai.I understand you both Thai and English.Please have a safe journey home.You should have known all Thai noodles must have garlic oil,otherwise it would be just normal soup.

Nice of you to post this 6 days after I departed, duchess! Yeah, I noticed the airport was busier than I'd seen in other vids doing the rounds. Also there were loads more dirty farang out and about in Sukhumvit during April. So things are starting to come back for the businesses hopefully.

Been there likely twenty times and have yet to ever see a single foreigner inside. They tend to be eating the expensive typical junk upstairs. Likely will never go again. Not that the food was bad just never plan to fly out of Thailand again. Left for a three-week trip in 2020 and got locked out away from my Thai family for nearly two years. NEVER AGAIN! It was such an expensive and royal pain in the ass nightmare getting back from America.

I guess this caters to all the workers and is affordable so you know the food is cheap but very good.

As much as i love Thai food Gary ,never ever on my journey home, Always two Subway rolls which i buy the day before ,and eat in the morning at stupid o'clock before leaving the hotel .12 hour Home flight a nightmare/and sad i don't want to be adding to it 🤦♂️😁But Thanks 👍

Last time 2019 I tried the Hana chicken, it was horrible! lol 😂 the stew pork leg was better!
Yeah the chicken isn’t great. I didn’t rate the pork leg either but it was right at the end. The duck is ok and the guay jub. That’s all I’ll eat

I don't suggest going there before your flight, for the fact that the court is before check in, and obviously not beyond passport control. You may think... ah I am two hours early, let's grab some noodles. Next thing you know you have missed your flight. Thanks for nothing! ;)

There’s only one terminal in Suvarnabhumi. Departures is on floor 4, this is on floor 1

Not at all mate. It's in arrivals on level one, where the bus to Pattaya goes from. We usually check in our bags and then head downstairs to eat before going to departures.

No, they only use baht here. There’s money exchanges in the train station on the floor below that give basically the same rate as outside the airport. Never change inside the terminal!
