This was awesome. The 2nd time I made this yesturday I also added a full bottle of Smirnoff kissed caramel. I called it caramel apple. My buddies loved it. The smell n taste is amazing.
So I made this today and followed this recipe almost exactly. This turned out amazingly. I just used two 152 proof of ever clear. Definitely would recommend.

My girlfriend and I did the exact recipe this past weekend but only used half of all the ingredients and 196 proof grain alcohol. It turned out amazing and all of our friends that have tried it absolutely loves it. It packs a punch and you get the Moonshine feel but has a nice sweet flavor to go along with it. Excellent recipe and really really easy
I am a moonshine purist but apple pie is a very common thing to do. I think the "purists" in your other video are just trolling😅 You can also make apple pie "cold" (without the boiling/simmering in the pot), especially with such a high proof this is no problem. It‘s also possible with a lower proof (e.g. 80 proof), just make sure your juice and/or cider is "pasteurized" which is basically the same thing as you would achieve with boiling. For the alcohol: grain is not wrong (and may be even smoother/more neutral) but for many moonshine "connoisseurs" authentic shine is corn spirit. This is simply because back in the days (i.e. prohibition) moonshine was usually made from a corn and sugar mash, although it is (and was) not "forbidden" to also add rye, grain or even a little malted barley to the mash. But - like with bourbon - the major part was (and should be) almost always corn. There are some "moonshines“ out there that are grain neutral spirits, but be aware that this is basically just vodka in a mason jar. The cream vodka (I didn‘t even know that there is something like this) is obviously your personal twist to the recipe but I can imagine that it matches the flavour profile quite well (as long it‘s not too dominant). So I think it‘s a decent recipe, I would not do it the exact same way but I can‘t see a reason to call it unauthentic. Historically, moonshine is something that took place beyond the legal framework anyway, which is not really a place to throw around strict definitions😉
I agree that apple pie is a ok mixed drink. But my thing is if it's bought out of a store it's not shine. I know leagle grain or corn whiskey is close but it not the same. I think mash ingredients are kind of a local thing. Here a lot is made in the fall. They are really making a rum but it's still called shine. When the suger cane is cut for making cane syurp the skimming are kept maybe a little juice is added. Then cooked off. @@JeremySiers I had a question and am hoping you could help me out. I have a 40% alcohol vodka. If I make this with apple juice and apple cider and the ABV would be 25% in the final product, would I need to infuse it in the refrigerator? Or would the Alcohol preserve it during the infusion.
Nice vid. Here in the deep south people pride themselves on the production of mash.Today recipes like this are fairly common now.Cheaper, easy, and not a crime.Thanks.Too bad its harder than hell to mail gifts like these, and against the law.i,d hand give these babies.
I don't drink anymore, but I love making different things. So I made this and gave it away for Christmas. Holy cow, everyone loves it! It does smell very tempting, lol. Oh yeah and I used an orange igloo cooler, it's easier for bottling it up.
So I got the bad idea of making this and after looking over several recipes, I added decided to add a tsp of nutmeg. For those that might want to store them a little longer, I had a bright idea. I didn't wait for it to cool down after the simmer. I mixed in the alcohol in right away while boiling some water with the jar lids in it. Then filled the jars up while it was still hot and capped them up real tight. From there they went into the fridge. The temp change caused the jars to seal. Granted its not a great seal like actually jarring them would be, but I beat that seal will be good enough for a while. I also brew, so I washed and sanitized the jars while they were still warm from the dishwasher too.
In case nobody has mentioned it, this isn't real moonshine! Lol. Oh yeah, you mentioned it yourself IN THE VIDEO! And here cone the "purists"anyway. Hahaha. Guys need to lighten up. I live in southern Oregon, and there are pears everywhere. So we make moonshine (about 170 proof) out of pear mash (in a still in the yard). Its quite tasty and I bet would make a great pear pie moonshine! :)
+Scott Griessbach Man!! I bet that would be awesome! I love pears. I have an Uncle that used to make a pear wine. Stuff was delicious but would give you a wicked hangover! 😂
Seems like any other apple pie recipe expect never seen the whipped cream vodka but sounds like it would compliment the apple pie great
Nice vid. Here in the deep south people pride themselves on the production of mash.Today recipes like this are fairly common now.Cheaper, easy, and not a crime.Thanks.Too bad its harder than hell to mail gifts like these, and against the law.i,d hand give these babies.
I used 80 proof and WOW….this stuff is 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊.. thank you for sharing🙏🇺🇸🤙
We use 95% everclear, vodka, and a pinch of fireball for ours here in WA.
Chris Schliep where can we get the everclear?
@@MeBeingAble Depends on if it's legal in your state. I usually find it at Walmart here in WA, you should be able to google where to find it near you.
I don't drink anymore, but I love making different things. So I made this and gave it away for Christmas. Holy cow, everyone loves it! It does smell very tempting, lol.
Oh yeah and I used an orange igloo cooler, it's easier for bottling it up.
Did the dog lick floor and take a nap
So I got the bad idea of making this and after looking over several recipes, I added decided to add a tsp of nutmeg.
For those that might want to store them a little longer, I had a bright idea. I didn't wait for it to cool down after the simmer. I mixed in the alcohol in right away while boiling some water with the jar lids in it. Then filled the jars up while it was still hot and capped them up real tight. From there they went into the fridge. The temp change caused the jars to seal. Granted its not a great seal like actually jarring them would be, but I beat that seal will be good enough for a while. I also brew, so I washed and sanitized the jars while they were still warm from the dishwasher too.
easy as pie. ;-) Trying this for my Christmas gifting, thanks!
The dog was even checking it out while you were "jarring it up" lol. Definitely going to try this. Thanks !!!
Now that's a simple recipe to follow.......
3 years running and it’s still the go to gift for my Homies!
Do you know how long it would last?
@@DominatorG4mes I have a batch from 3 years ago as of 1/2023, its the special reserve. lol
Thank goodness for that sign saying “kitchen” never would’ve even guessed that. 😂😂😂
A Excellent Video.. Highly Recommended.. Thank You Very Much For Sharing.. This Is A Good Recipe If You Live In A Apartment And Not Much Room..
I uh... "got myself into a little bit of trouble with this stuff" at a wedding a few years back
I'll definitely try this one
i’m doing this tonight but i’m going to try caramel vodka instead of whipped cream...
I use Stoli salted caramel and it’s really delicious
Excellent! And thanks for sharing.
Hey Billy Ray do you have a hint of trout?
Yup...I forgot to clean out the cooler.
Your to funny. I can't wait to make mine today. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
Yum yum yum!!!!
I like your recipe here. I’m not much of a drinker but I’m sure this is something my friends that are, can share. Thank you. Happy Holidays!
OMG, I cannot wait to get home to make this. You've saved my life! My friends/family will absolutely LOVE this for the holidays.
Thank you! ♥️
Jeemy , the'll calm down after a few swigs of this hooch. Great approach to all this ... Thanks for this nice recipe!!!
Looks awesome and fairly easy! Who doesn't like a little bite in their shine.... Great photography and video!
Elaine O'Dell it’s sooooo good.
+Elaine O'Dell Right!!!! Gotta have a little sting on it! Lol.
@@JeremySiers if it dont leave ya a smilin, ya dint do it right. Sounds dern good to me.
I'm gonna' have to try this. I'll bet that whipped cream flavor is a nice addition.
Too dam simple son 😎 I'm giving this for stocking stuffers 😲
Be responsible and handle with care... great present awsome Christmas video.
In case nobody has mentioned it, this isn't real moonshine! Lol.
Oh yeah, you mentioned it yourself IN THE VIDEO! And here cone the "purists"anyway. Hahaha.
Guys need to lighten up. Take the video for what it is, his video and recipe. He does not need to be corrected. Go make your own video with your recipe.
Title says moonshine not actual moonshine you go make your own video. When someone posts a public video people will comment especially if it’s a blatant click bait lie. Now that you’ve been educated have a great day champ !
@@MrTiton536 Ok, Roblox Dad.
Just found this video. Definitely going to make this for the holidays.
Pretty awesome my man. I'm from Cleveland Tennessee and this rocks!! BTW....I can also make my own grain alchohol... but this is a lot easier. I just make it to say I did!! First run would be PERFECT for this!! THANKS!!
Ricky Pisano I’m from Cleveland too! About time we finally got liquor stores hahaha
Thank you for sharing! Taste so good!
That first moonshine video is actually how I found your channel!
+Eric Bushue Lol, at the time I thought it was fine. When I watch it now I cringe a little 😂.
Same😂😂
I made a half batch, so same idea, and it turned out great
I love the video. Thanks so much and happy holidays.
Family and friends ask for it every year. They even was will to pay me to make it. Good stuff without question! Thanks again and Happiest New Year's 🎉😊
Use a 5 gallon or less cooler Keg It has a button dispenser less spells a mess my thoughts
Great video
We have everclear 190 in North Dakota. Going to make this as soon as im done watching you
Funny how UA-cam is recommending me this video while I'm making it. Or stilling it to be more accurate.
Daniel Godfrey I got 5 gallons fermenting myself 😂
@@quinney1141 my 5 gallon jug is going on 4 weeks. Mainly because I added sugar when the airlock was slowing down.
What's your recipe?
This is delicious. Do yourself a favor and don’t skip the whipped cream vodka. If anything add a little less of the grain alcohol because the whip cream is delicious. Added some pumpkin spice in there (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice) for October. Hooray
Excellent Xmas present! Sugar & alcohol! 👍🏻🐞 I got in trouble with The Mead in Ireland. Tasted like honey. 🤕
Soooo goood every year do it its awesome
I love Apple Pie Moonshine but don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
"Let's rock".
How original..... come up with something new asswipe
Facts!!!
Children ...... To the Dodge !
American car. Whahahahaha!
Just found this video so cool im visiting my son in the military soon I'm gonna make some and give it to the troops in ( who are 21 of course)😉
