There is only one bad comment I will make on this entire workmanship however, " Why wasn't the outer wall insulated against the ingress of moister with a layer of plastic or other such material , before installing the outer layer of timber, it was obvious there were gaps in the outer timber walls were moister will enter." ?

Beautiful as well as illegal in both code and in permitting. (In the US) We need a permit. To get a permit we need blueprints. To get blueprints we need an Engineer. The engineer will need a copy of the land deed to make sure it is OK. Hoops and more hoops we jump through. Most just build illegal and say "It is temporary" to get by.
Wall insulation will soak up water like a sponge..... Floor and Foundation will rot very quickly untreated waste of money... But nice try for summer cabin😊

You're right to question that! In some cases, untreated wood can last longer in soil if it's a naturally rot-resistant species like cedar or oak, or if the climate is dry enough to minimize decay.

Set upon untreated wood in soil. What could go wrong?
Forest are made up of untreated wood. What forest ever died out do to not being treated. Tre cabin will still be standing after we are all gone .
I think I read somewhere that stumps eventually rot away but I'm not a materials engineer so I can't say for certain.

Great craftsmanship but I hated the planking choice for the exterior walls and roof... They don't seal well (at all, wind and rain) and look terrible!
