You are the GOAT of hair/braid artists, because your patience is to be commended. I swear I'm contemplating a trip to CA just to get my hair done by you. There are not many stylists like you left - for real
There's a easier way to take down Individuals. After you cut them take about 10 and hold the hair in the palm of your hand and comb all 10 at once with a not too wide comb and comb all the way up until all 10 are combed out. Untangle those 10 by picking the hair loose and move on to 10 more. You should never go back and try to untangle all that hair after the braids are out. Untangle as you go. You can use a leave in conditioner ro softer up the kinks.Way less time.
I'm taking my 4 month micros out now. This is the longest I've left braids in. My mom died Jan 7th,and I installed Jan 8th. I wish you were taking my hair down.😢 you did a great job
I wish I could keep braids in for 4 months 😭 maybe I can with micros. After 2 months with medium size they start twisting and the build up tangles at the root
I'll add that I remember putting detangled spray or conditioner and combing out several at a time. Never one by one! I'd be done with takedown and detangling in a few hours.
You did that! I wish I were in Cali! I’m case other helps: Wild Growth Oil on the build-up, breaks it right down so it can be easily combed out or pulled apart!
Thank you for sharing your expertise with us! Video is very detailed. If I knew half as much of what you are saying years ago, I probably would have taken better care of my hair.
Very excellent and thorough work with your hands I must say and also Dutchess braids..GOD BLESS you both with the awesome hair styles and braiding..Where are you located..??.Would love to get my hair done thoroughly frm beginning to end...❤❤🔥🔥💯💯👍🏾👍🏾..
Unpopular opinion thank me later but after take down use half applecider vinegar and water and spray throughout hair until its nice and wet leave on for about 5 minutes and start detangling hair when i say it dissolves the build up and dirt ❤ i wish i known this myself years ago. Once done condition let it sit and rinse or wash with shampoo then condition whatever preferred ❤
No thank you 💕 wetting super kinky hair before deranging only makes to process longer especially with these small braids. The hair starts to revert back tangling the shed hair into the matted hair more. Having moisturized hair throughout your install makes takedown easier. Thank you for watching 💗
The first few ones looked like it hurts so bad I was cringing than you doing it on dry hair with no oil no nothing omg it looked like you was pulling the mess out of it but obviously not cause she would’ve been jumping cause that’s the part that hurts the most or it could be me I’m so tender headed that’s why I do my own hair I cant take nobody else doing my hair I’m like a toddler sitting in the chair and you know what makes it so crazy? I wasn’t like this a few years ago and I can TAKE PAIN !
Nope. Midsize to jumbo braids and twists for the win. Save time, save hair, minimize matting, 6 weeks in at most. Spray some oil on it as your taking it down for more slip. Life is too short. 😅 That being said, your process takes forever, but end result is pretty good, if you have this kind of time!
Needed this. I braided my mans hair for the first time but its just that im used to doing black hair and women hair mostly lol i gotta fix em and double my squares i started (got 3) so they re double size. I gave that man box braids like i he was a whole woman, too thin man😂 plus its shaved on sides not full head
Wait....so how long did it take for you to take down? And I need you to scratch my head! My head is the same, always super dry at the top and around the edges.
When ever you do micro braids do you dip the ends or do you burn the ends? I been trying to find out for the longest cause I seen people do both! & another question if you don’t mind me asking Do you apply mousse??
@@resemblemebyrobyn I will be trying to do these braids on myself soon ❤️‼️ hopefully it turns out good & I will try to keep them in for a really long time! How long do you suggest for me to keep them in my head for?
Same here. I will never ever take this much time. I am a huge fan of midsize to jumbo sized braids and twists. It saved time and hair! Plus I won't keep styles longer than about 6 weeks anymore. Minimize matting.
Who takes hair down like this? We don’t do it this way! We part this in (4) part! We use that small detangling brush, and the bundle from the cut ends up and that (human or synthetic) hair comes straight out without hair loss or fingering! NO Ma’am!
More than one way to skin a cat, love 💗 some ppl have more delicate strands. Me personally, I know I'd lose most of my growth if I did your method. And I'm sue your method still works for many people:)
Not if you actually take care of your hair, my mom keeps hers in for 4 or 5 months and her hair is fine when she takes it down, also its natural for hair to shed, you are going to loose a little hair regardless
You are the GOAT of hair/braid artists, because your patience is to be commended. I swear I'm contemplating a trip to CA just to get my hair done by you. There are not many stylists like you left - for real
Thank you so much for your sweet words 💕
This is how I took mine down and detangled when I had micros. This take down is where many went wrong and lost hair blaming it on the braids.
Thanks for this testimony, I'm trying to be more gentle with my hair lol. Pretty sure I'm the cause for some breakage atp

It took her 11 for the take down 🚶🏾♀️
Same. I take down and derangle at once. Leave in conditioner grab a good section use medium tooth comb done in no time.
Exactly. I can take them out in a hour and a half or less.

Great advice. I do this and definitely works!
I’m watching this taking mines down lol long process but worth it at the end. My son in-law love the beat who is it by?
I use a unbraid spray when take down my micros.
The braid job was beautiful...
Tip : Try using a toothpick to unravel

Great job! How long did it take to remove the braids and how long was her total service?
Thank you! Wow! I can’t believe I forgot to mention. 11 hours !!

Run your nail along the braid while applying pressure. With each swipe of the nail the braids will pop open more and more.
Are all the good hairstylists on UA-cam??? The one's that actually care about the client's hair 😭😭 or yall all just live in Texas and Atlanta?
Question, whenever someone have small braids what would be the best shampoo and conditioner to use for a itchy scout
I put conditioner on the matted parts, it loosen the just comb the dirt out.
I don’t like that method.
I enjoy looking at new growth am I weird?🤣
Not at all! I LOVE new growth!
I recommend washing the roots of the hair FIRST BEFORE TAKE DOWN to get the build up out. Thank me later
I use conditioner to take my braids down then comb them right out. works out and much easier for me
Thanks
@@JanieBee your welcome after I put the conditioner on my briads I let it sit for a while then they get loose and then comb them out
It’s always my back that’s dry and the front stay moisturize and I’m think about keeping my crochet box braids up for 8 months
Why? Unless they are really tiny...
For 8 months your hair will turn into dreadlocks unless thats what you wanted
Going to get micros installed and four months is what it’s gonna be.

Microbraid is the recipe for hair breakage.
Not for everyone 💕
4 months is too long. 3 or less. 4 months will have more tangled matted hair and hair loss.
Are you a cosmotolgists or have any training in hair?
