I used to get micro braids all the time! I would keep mine in for 8 months at a time. Of course washes and retouch in between the months! My hair grew so much! I had to stop getting them because the take down would be longer than the install because my hair got so long! This was my favorite style hands down!

After your hair gets a certain length you can braid your own hair!
I will never forget February 2000 when my hair came out in patches due to stress. I decided to cut it down to a teeny afro. I started getting micros every 2 months for 2 yrs. By march 2003, i had an afro that would've made Angela Davis proud 😂

I hadn't had micro braids for years until a month ago and had my hair styled wanting human hair only, stylist said they couldn't use human hair and synthetic hair was used, terrible itching this is my second time around in a month readdressing micros but I'm looking for a different stylist, there are some who will use human hair only yet it is hard getting acquainted with one as some of these stylists are unbelievable to deal with, you can't get questions answered, some of them when you leave a message they don't return the call and I just want to say I really appreciate the heart of this stylist here, every question that I had and I just stumbled across this video yet my questions have been answered and I know what to look for concerning my supplies, now I need a braider stylist with a Heart Like Yours.

Girlllll you really braid the whole head in micro braids that's how it use to be years ago when I was getting my hair braided now they just micro braid the perimeter than soon as they hit the middle here come these big blocks🤦🏿♀️

You are a very neat braider, i love that. Ive seen braiders on video, because the were braiding from the back to midway up you cant se it, they were braiding all over the place. All unevenly, no straight rows or nothing.

Hey Robin, your braids are so neat and pretty. I have a question. I use to braid my hair in micro years ago and was thinking about doing it again. I have a thin patch of hair on the top where you would part down the middle. It’s like 2inches by 3 inches. How would you suggest I braid it so that my scalp or hair doesn’t look so thin in that section?
Try using (sewing) a net over that part and crocheting hair into it, then braiding the hair.
I use to do these myself in high school. Gonna try it again

Can you please RELOCATE to Georgia cause I need a new 😩 micro braider bad these African shops be having attitudes about braiding for no reason just say you don't want to do it and ill be okay lol. I can braid my own but with 3 small kids my husband works all the time and they aint gone leave me alone and I hate doing hair over days. I braid all their hair in one day 😫 and my hands be killing me sometimes it flare up my tendonitis so I'm limited over here . So right now I stick to individuals,plats, box braids cause the name changes every year 🤣 this is showing my age lawd . I did micro braids a couple of years back with 18 inch hair. It did not look right because of my hair length. They were always cute during my baldheaded life.
Same! I couldn’t get them for years until I cut my hair off! Especially since I was natural. Just didn’t blend.

She didn’t tie the ends in 8:00 she tricks the ends.
Pump it up will help the hair stay in. You don't have to tie the ends. Been doing them for 30 years never tied a knot. Especially with human hair.

Isn't regular braiding hair fine?
If you are using regular kanekalon you may have to dip the ends to keep them straight and not tangle.

I think people say use human hair because if you're braiding half way down the braids it recommend to use human hair since it's not going to tangle as much as synthetic. If you are going to use synthetic it's best to braid the entire braid instead of leaving it half way.
@@mia8911 Not true. You can use regular Kankeklon or Afrelle and braid it half way and dip it in hot boiling water and they will not unravel and will do fine. I do mine that way all the time.

Versatile to comb through the ends etc. I would t use synthetic ever!
Human/human blend is the best. Anything else is too heavy and may tangle.

Supply and demand. They try to make the pack look fuller. Especially the longer length bundles.
