@DaleDunphy Thanks! I didn't buy my Taylor because of sound...I gave up a better sounding guitar (a Martin D-28), it's all that it can do and how easy it is to play and adjust...the bridge pickup and built in mic gives me a lot of options (I get my drum sounds for looping by banging on or in front of it) AND it is so comfortable to play (it's actually a 712 and is really very small and relatively thin). I'm experimenting with strings to try and get a better sound amplified. Thanks for watching!
@erniev35 Yeah...it basically smoked my Taylor (a 1996 custom made 712E)...I didn't originally post this but decided to after I sold the amp and was deleting un-used takes...I thought it would be good to show the difference. If people were blindfolded when they went to buy guitars, they would probably be very surprised at what they walked out with...and I have to admit I have really come to respect Ovation's...they are unique and they feel/play great and sound amazing plugged into a good amp.
@sandryushka It was very humbling to have a Korean made Ovation just kill my custom ordered USA made Taylor...I'm experimenting with strings to try to improve the amplified sounds (as much as possible but still be easy to play). Thanks for watching and commenting!
@mlkim501 I need to say that my Marshall sounds bigger than the Roland does but is not as full as the Crate 125D I am currently using (my Marshall "crashed"...haven't looked into fixing it yet...don't know if it's worth it...)...there are a lot of really good acoustic amps out there...check out the Genz-Benz if you can...and I like the Crate and Fender and of course the SWR and Fishman but some of these are really expensive. Have fun searching/buy what sounds good to your ears with your guitar.
@mlkim501 Almost all of my acoustic guitar demo's are done with a Marshall AS-50R (the predecessor...the difference is a digital reverb chip that actually sounds better than the spring reverb in the "R" but I got mine at a close out price and don't use reverb anyway). I have never played the Laney acoustic amps but I'll warn you that most of the old Laney's were infamous for cutting corners (maybe they are a better company now...I still love my old Laney tube amps...when they are working...lol).
Hi. Perhaps it was the video recorder that ruined the sound of the great Taylor 714 and ROland AC-60 combination. You're playing is very good and no doubt it sounded good in the room but in the resulting video, the sound is brittle and tin'y (is that a word). Sorry for my hopefully constructive criticism of your video.
The Taylor completely KILLS the sound of the amp. Sorry 'bout this, it's my opinion. The Ovation you have there sounded twenty times better in the other review and caused both the amp and itself to shine.
@viranchi27 Then you should thank me for making this video thereby saving you from making the mistake of buying one since it doesn't sound good to YOUR ears...send money in place of gratitude...and maybe learn a few more words...and watch the ones you use...
Thanks for the video man. after watching a few videos I bought a Roland AC-60 myself.
Awesome piece of craftmanship :D
Greets dude
My Ovation Custom Legend and this amp are what I consider perfectly matched. Nice playing and thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and well said (nobody can disagree when you preface it with "what I consider")!
Helpful vid, great playing!
I have a taylor 314 with ES system, love the looks of it, playability, but I've have to save that in your demo, the ovation sounds massive.
Amen brother!

Thank you for sharing this. Have you ever used Marshall AS50D or Laney LA65D?
I'm considering among three amps(Roland Ac-60 and the above two amps).
