They nailed it. Betty was great at using her body language to give the contestant clues too. She really knew how to use her acting skills here. Love the "lean in" tactic Betty used.😊
I always love this clip, because Dick Clark makes a big thing of saying he's going to run down and grab the picture himself, and then when she wins, he's motioning other people to do it for him and looking at them like they're crazy. LOL The poor staff member who he is lambasting was probably thinking "well bitch, you said you were going to do it yourself!" :-)
I know! She was an “old lady” back then and she’s outlived the vast majority of the younger adults she worked with around this time. The power of good genetics, haha
When I saw this show as a kid, I think I saw Dick Clark's name come up as a subject in the preliminary round on two occasions, and it sticks out in my mind that Nypsy Russell pointed back over his shoulder to indicate him.
