NYC is Building Anti-Migrant Streets…

- Hostile architecture is popping up around asylum shelters in NYC, and it looks like these could be in response to the city’s growing humanitarian crisis. Some businesses may have a legitimate safety concern, but when the city itself is looks like it’s installing hostile architecture something seems fishy…

Giving them free money, on top of trying to push for allowing all illegal immigrants to vote... Sounds like a violation Civil Rights and election fraud by exchanging money and services for votes... Democracy is failing us and these corrupt Democrat politicians don't deserve the right to control the public.
I'm an American, and when I visited Japan, their people would get priority over foreigners, and rightfully so. Americans should take notes on taking care of our people first.
Same for Singapore. I have a relative who won the scholarship, went to one of Singapore top university, graduated, got a well paid job there, and went home after like 5 years, couldn’t land himself a permanent residence because the Singapore government prioritize their own citizens. A tiny island nation that has everything, and yet still thinks about its citizens first. For all the greatness the Western world had achieved that enabled them to enslave almost half the world at one point, it’s time to apply some logic and start doing what the Asians have been doing: Put your own people first.
Not all our people deserve to be citizens. Some are downright leeches to our communities and society. But yes, if I had to make a policy decision, I would prefer to resolve some of our homeless situations before making it worse.
You do know that even Japan has homeless people. They're just well hidden in villages where the young adults have left to find jobs in the city and the elderly are suffering on their own.
EVERY country should put its own citizens first. Otherwise it’s treasonous.
America is controlled by NAZI's from Europe
No bro youre wrong. Those are homless deterants not migrant deternts. American citizens who are homeless, while the migrants are given hotel rooms, the homeless american is left to freeze
Exactly!
It's for both... truth is New Yorkers do not want the homeless and migrants here at all.
You confuse immigrants with migrants. Migrants are second or third gen, while immigrants are the ones settling in other places.

EXACLTY! That was my first thought at seeing the thumbnail. At this point it’s not just migrant proof, it’s everyone proof😂. Just get rid of the bench entirely if your gonna spend tax money doing this shit.
@hq3607 You summed it up perfectly there, in that it's not just migrant-proof, it's 'everyone' proof. What's next; they build a fountain that doesn't squirt water, or a park that's locked up and no-one can get into?! 🤷♂️
An empty space for some illegal to lay there? Nah
@xxSKAGhosTxx Almost all of outside space is empty spaces; it doesn't mean somone is going to lay there..
My point is, the purpose of a bench is to sit on, and if it doesn't fulfil that purpose, then why go to the effort and cost to make it unusable for that purpose; may as well just remove it, or put a sculpture there, or a bin ot something.

There are already thousands of US citizens who have lived in NYC their entire lives, who desperately need the assistance that the resources being poured into this corrupt, broken system could provide them with.

Funny how there are European Countries with far smaller GDP per capita then the US that are able to afford stronger welfare programs, makes you think.
Of course it's always easiest to complain about people who have no power. They're an easy scapegoat. The bourgeoisie will gloat while the proletariat fights amongst one another: a song as old as human civilization has existed.
It's not "anti-migrant" it has always been "anti-homeless".
We need hostile architecture at the border. A big wall, that in no uncertain terms, says "DO NOT ENTER HERE."

'Hostile architecture' has some cousins too. In my neighborhood our pedestrian path had slanted segments where you could get on/off the sidewalk easily with a bike.
They removed it so that people could park anywhere and leave no gaps for bikes to use those parts. Removing something positive to replace it with something even more hostile.
We have cars in front of my window reflecting the harsh sunlight directly into my living room at all hours of daylight and the cars aren't even mine.
They removed all playground contraptions in the courtyard side and disallowed us to place fences over 1.4 meters on the road side to block out the harsh reflections from cars.
The spikes on the tubing is also used to keep skaters from rail sliding. Forces them to go elsewhere.
Glad NYC is spending even more money on things that aren't fixing the root of the problem

It is insane but there are many things going on right now that are insane, such as sending billions to the Ukraine when there is such a need for money for public services right here in the U.S., the rising inflation and loss of jobs, etc. None of it is a coincidence.
@@vegskater1741don't forget the 120B border Bill, only 18B are fot the border 60 for Ukraine 15 for Israel

There is no such thing as The Right to Shelter in America. In India there is...go there. Here you have opportunity for a better life if you work for it and contribute legally. Bill of Rights applies to Citizens. Illegals are by definition invader.
Like American veterans
Why doesn’t New York City try to rescind its sanctuary status ? That seems like a logical solution…
LOL. You expect progressive leftist democrats to use 'logic.' Wow.
U know why? Because it makes too much sense!
To Martiucci 4054: The high-level Dems will dawn their doom upon the district, devoiding developmental dollars.
Because it's all intensional. The illegals will add Democrat congressional seats and the ultimate goal is voting rights.
For real… seems like the common sense thing to do
8:28. Curious. You said people wait 8 hours and if they don't get in the shelter they have to go home n come back. Where would home be?
Thank you for the video.
Stops them from "enjoying" the city. IT stops them from loitering infront of Storefront business..
It seems to me that the goal is not to eliminate or reduce loitering, but to prevent camping. None of the things depicted prevent standing in one place (loitering) in order to window shop.
It does have a disproportionate impact on those with mobility issues and I'm surprised that ADA lawsuits have not put a stop to the practice. Just about every place doing business with the public is required to provide toilet facilities for their customers. Pedestrians trying to enjoy a public park deserve the same as "customers" of NYC. If they can't do that, close the parks. Probably the only solution involve a lawsuit by a pregnant woman who suffered as the result of the city failing to accommodate her (temporary) disability surrounding mobility and bladder-capacity limitations. I can easily visualize a broken ankle due to rushing to locate somewhere that is civilized enough to have toilets.
Am I the only one that thinks we should not only have hostile architecture, but have hostile laws to stop them from ever coming?
This THIS!! I’m all for this. I can’t imagine going into any other country illegally and expect them to take care of me. Buck Fiden
Your hostile international diplomacy is what brought them in the first place…

@@thunderboltpenetrator8498 blah, blah, blah. A parrot regurgitating the shit they’ve been fed their entire lives. We’re so bad that everyone in the world wants to be here.
Biden FIRST day in office (2021) signed executive orders #11 & #12 to open the border and stop the wall barrier 🚧
81 million people voted for the Biden administration.
Bidenomics working for you????
@thunderboltpenetrator8498 that's false. The increase in illegal immigrants is due to the fact the Biden administration changed the definition of asylum seekers, so anyone who says those magic words in English has to be let into the country. Donald Trump had immigration policies that deterred illegal immigration, and Joe Biden got rid of those and now encourages illegal immigration. Nobody wonders why "asylum seekers" is blowing the fuck up when we've had illegal immigrants forever and never heard this term that much? It's because it's been recently redefined. Have you heard Obama deported more illegals than any other president? Did you know the Obama administration changed the definition of deportation to mean you turned away an illegal AT THE BORDER?
Those spikes would cost a huge amount in lawsuits.
If someone falls on them 😳
it's anti human hostile and brutalism is made to make you as uncomfortable as possible
8:15 “people will wait all day then have to ‘go home and come back’” ARE YOU KIDDING LOL if they are seeking free housing what “home” are they going to? If people wish to immigrate, just like Americans relocating to Europe or something, you need to have funding and a budget. This “come to America broke and we give you free housing” needs to stop.
EXACTLY!!!
you clearly don't understand what refugees are about. People don't hostile places for fun. There are dangerous situations that force people to relocate. Get a clue
@@rosacastro505most these ppl are not actual asylum seekers , they’re economic migrants who won’t even show up to their asylum proceedings. Full on welfare state, or unenforced, open borders, you cannot have both.
@rosacastro505 I am from Colombia. I agree there is a lot of dangerous situations but the majority of people are coming here waiting to see what they can get for free. USA is for working hard people this is the land of the brave. A lot of illegal inmigrants are coming with the idea that the American dream is about having a lot of money by just breathing. This mentally comes form the left from Castro, Maduro, Petro. Free, free they just want free. While the people that love this country are working hard and paying taxes.

Is it impolite to point out that just about everyone in that line is in violation of Federal law?
Don’t see anything wrong with it. They are trying to run businesses & can’t with people loitering everywhere.
I agree!
Yeah. This isn't controversial at all. Cash is out of line here.
There's nothing wrong with adding more plants to Manhattan, and if it also prevents loitering (which hurts those local businesses), then it's win-win.
And we would have to worry about loitering as much if we enforced our national borders.
That's not the problem. It's the bullshit virtue signaling these "progressive" cities portray, and how they vote, but when push comes to shove, they hate these people.
Money grab video, migrant coverage is big business
NYC: "Go be poor somewhere else!" **deploys bear mace**
I find myself wondering if there isn't a simpler solution to prevent people from lieing down on a bench. Wouldn't welding some armrests across it at 1/4 or 1/3 and 3/4 or 2/3 the length work just as well while making the bench more useful at the same time?
It's not hostile! Having people hang/sleep around your business is hostile. It's not safe for the people who have to travel those sidewalks
This. It's only hostile to people who aren't minding their own business.
Exactly. "Hostile" is such disingenuous framing. This is passive, at worst. A "hostile" business solution looks much much different.
1000% agree.. this fool should keep 5-10 illegals in his place so they aren’t so hostile. This guy is annoying to listen to
So what you are saying is that sanctuary cities are no longer fashionable 😂
ah yes. the horrors of someone sleeping. who knows what their next move will be.
wake up?

rub their eyes?
Private property owners have the right to do hostile things to prevent vagrancy and the crime and/or damage that comes with it. The CITY as a peoples' government should NEVER engage in that kind of thing. This is a gross violation of its responsibility to BETTER peoples lives and tend to those that live under its care.
This is the first time I see an activist be upset that parking spots have been replaced with plants.
Private businesses are in no way obligated to provide loitering areas for illegal aliens.
You're right but why is the city doing it then?

NYC did. The rest of NYS largely didn't but we're highly outnumbered in votes by NYC and Rochester/Buffalo. Unfortunately, our taxes are linked. They rob us to support their rubbish ideas.
