Hi Doug - this is the first video I have seen that explains the hydraulic assist couplers we have on our Massey MF1533. She is an older gal built in 2005. In 2018 we added a dealer installed Quickie style front loader. The hydraulic lines are routed poorly and rub on the wheel when turning. Two of the hoses we could disconnect using the push in - pull back out. The other two, we cannot disconnect. We have wiggled the joy stick but have had no "joy". I fear that the dealer tech just shoved the male hose ends into the couplers without cleaning the couplers and that now I have jammed dirt which will not allow me to get the hose apart. My dealer says just yank on the hose. The 2 that release do not take the force that we are applying to the stuck hoses for them to release. Are we doing something wrong or is there some trick we are missing? I'm not near Kansas.. our machine is in Virginny. Your video was incredibly helpful just knowing about the different connectors. I'm wondering if we should just change them.
It could be the coupler type. Do they look the same as the others. Most couplers have numbers stamped in them and the tips too. Going to be small print but would determine the type. They could be no hydraulic assist couplers. Sometimes it requires pushing in and giving a yank to pop them out. If different you could replace couplers or sometimes it's just the tips that can go bad too. Hope that helps.
@@VahrenbergImplement Thank you. I'll try to identify the part numbers - old eyes.. not easy. On the two we can and have released, the push and then yank worked. The plug side of the coupling is brand new. The receptacle side was on the tractor since 2005 unused. My thought is the receptacle is the problem. I'm also going to try to open the lines on both sides of the connector to see if it is still under pressure. For sure, the travel seems much less on these two couplings and that leads me to think we still have pressure. We'll keep trying. Need to move those hoses.
Vahrenberg Implement thanks so much for the reply. They are unlike couplers I'm accustomed too. They don't have the sleeve that is pulled or pushed to release. So they must be the hydraulic assist as you state in your video? I'm pretty concerned I will dislodge one as I am in the woods a lot with the machine. Any suggestions? love your videos BTW and wish I was closer to your dealership!
Please try to remember to NOT do your videos half in the sun. It is difficult for the camera to know what exposure is correct, and therefor difficult to make out details in what you are showing. Otherwise, GREAT video!!! Thanks for the information!

When you find the numbers take a picture and then zoom in on photo and it helps read numbers for us old eyes.

They are ISO 5675 Couplers.
