WATER Elsa Frozen "Let it Go" parody by Nim

- A WaterElsa (AU) rewrite of "Let it Go" from Disney's "Frozen". These lyrics were meant to retain a similar sentiment as the original song while using as few of the original lyrics as possible. In my version here, Elsa has power over water in all liquid forms (meaning, over rain as well as the sea. But not ice/snow. That would defeat the purpose lol). Note the "never closing the (flood)gates" reference ;)

I have heard this dub many times because two little girls have fallen in love with it. They always want to play pretend, and the youngest says "I wanna be Water Elsa!"
Neither of them want to be normal Elsa. They both want to be Water Elsa because of how much they love this parody.

ANNOUNCEMENT (and POLL) time! Okay guys, so remember when I said I wasn't expanding on Let it Go elements past fire and water? Well change of plans lol. After getting so many requests to finish it out and do earth and air (but *especially* earth), I just started thinking about it and found myself writing EarthElsa lyrics one day, soo... LET IT GROW is coming soon! The lyrics are done; the recording is nearly done, and I've just begun editing. I'll have it up as soon as I can.
I haven't decided whether I'll do an AirElsa one yet... I m i g h t, since it would probably be difficult for me to stand having just 3 of the 4 elements on my channel. I know I say that every time, but after this one's done, the elements will be done. Furthermore, if I everrrr did go past those four (five, rather), I would not be doing an electricity/lightning/storm power or a light power or a darkness power or anything of that sort. Those things are not elements.)

Okay, so I just binged all of your “alternate elements” parodies… and this one hit home. This is the one that I can personally relate to. Don’t get me wrong, ALL of them are incredible and require talent that I wish I had an *ounce* of, but “Let it Flow” really describes me. I was honestly not expecting it, but at the same time, I love it. Thank you for making this, it makes me feel understood, not something I feel often. I wish you all the best.

This is equally good as 'let it glow'! I personally like the lyrics in this better.... These two are the best let it go parodies I've heard, unlike all that 'tornado' and 'let it grow' stuff. I have one child. She is a big fan of Elsa. She keeps on seeing Elsa's movie and hears her songa. When I told her about this video she was very happy and kept in hearing it. She pretended to be as Elsa. She said, "I am Elsa. I have a song. " Then she tells me to play this song and pretends as if she is singing. Iam very happy to see a smile on her face. Oddly, it seemed like your voice fit these words better...I am not at all sure what it strikes me that way, if there's a technical reason or its just poetic fancy on my part. Really good work, had yet again a slightly different shading of meaning than the other versions. Did you like this one even more or....? I think it says something about the feeling so many people have of being in no win situations, unfair tests with no good outcome that the urge to break things and start anew is so strong. Hopefully the ones putting the fire under the pressure cooker of our society will hear the groaning this represents and let the temperature down a bit...
Thank you! I agree with you, actually. About my voice fitting this version better. Water is my element, and I really connected with the lyrics in this one. I'm so glad someone noticed the slightly different emotional tone-- that in this one, there's more of a confused, desperate sadness (at least I tried to implement that lol)... "sorrow, anger, hurt", "I'm begging on my knees", etc. It made sense to me to go for this tone since rain is associated with being "blue"... or something like that.

Thank you! For "Let it Glow", I sort of just went with my natural voice, not trying to sound quite like ice Elsa. People tell me that my neutral voice has a warm richness, and I thought that a sound like that would be good for a fire rewrite. For this one, I thought I'd try to "be the water" lol... water is my element, and I did try to make my voice fit it a little more, different from the other two.

I know you were siniging the fire in a more natural voice in a more warm way, I honestly think you had a more emotional investment in the water version. I feel the fire version had (some points) the more emotional pain, but you captured it and owned it so much more in the water version.
Not to say it's bad. I will listen to these two masterpieces back-by-back any day. You do a wonder-fucking-ful job. I hope you do more songs someday.

Let it Glow and Let it Flow are the only elemental rewrites that will be on this channel-- I won't be writing for earth or wind (or electricity/lightning). I WILL, however, be releasing another Let it Go rewrite soon, but it's a different take on the song entirely... and it's a duet. I'm collabing with another UA-camr and it's a surprise I can't wait to show you all!
