    Such a fun stitch! Wouldn't a little girl (who loves mermaids) love a pair of fingerless arm warmers made with this stitch, to add to her dress up box?
    It makes me think of fish scales/mermaids. ☺️
    Thank you, for another wonderful stitch tutorial. You always get my creative juices flowing.

    Hello Carolina, may I firstly say what a beautiful knitter you are and thank you so much for your time in doing these videos, you have taught me so much. I was wondering if it is possible to do a childs hat in this pattern on the please, any advice would be much appreciated 🤞🏻🙏🏻

    • @sowoolly

      Hello Caroline, thank you for your lovely comment! Yes, it's a lovely stitch for a hat.
      What I'd do is to knit a swatch, using this stitch and the same yarn+ needles you'll use for the project, so you know exactly what your gauge is and you can follow a pattern with the same gauge.
      Then, I'd make a 1x1 ribbing.
      After that, I'd use this stitch for the "body" of the hat, and when it's time to decrease for the crown, I'd change to Stockinette stitch (it's not easy to keep the design when decreasing).
      I hope this helps! Happy knitting :)

    Hi, you mentioned that the even row form the right side of the work.
    If I want the odd row to be the right side of the work, how should it work?

    • @sowoolly
      @sowoolly  5 місяців тому

      Hi, in that case you can work a setup row (K across), and then follow the pattern. This way, the even rows will form the wrong side.
