Just did some quick research on what happened with this series, and it's sad. Apparently, the author, Shiden Kanzaki, had a bit of a breakdown after the anime. Some say that it was due to poor sales and/or pressure from working on the anime. The last volume of the light novel released in 2014. The series was left in an indefinite hiatus. The author hasn't posted on Twitter since 2015. Absolute silence. It comes as a bit of a shock because I always assumed that the light novel did pretty well in Japan. Some additional info: Rumors say he opened up a restaurant, and that he was pretty successful and is happy with it. Whenever he was asked about Black Bullet, he would dodge any questions about it. So, he at least got back on his feet.

cooperclan13 I think the japanese artists who make the soundtracts just do such an amazing job. I just love how you can tell that they put so much time and effort into their work. Shiro Sagisu and Hiroyuki Sawano especially. If for some reason you guys are reading comments on youtube know that you have a huge fanbase over here who loves your guys' work. Keep it up.

The whole things correct. Expect that "Come Sure, Extinct is right." I think it's "No such extincts right!" Of what the Chorus is saying, I think I can hear the word "Such" in that part.

.zeN I Loved pretty much everything about this anime, from the story to the characters. It honestly was pretty sad at some parts, but sort of uplifting too: When Rentaro had lost all faith in humanity due to their persecution and massacre of the Cursed Children, he had given up hope and wondered whether he was fighting on the right side (I wondered that too!). But then at the end, when Rentaro and his companions didn't have batteries to light up the battlefield because of sabotage and the people let all those lanterns into the sky to light the field.... That was powerful. Message seems to be "Humanity has potential". This is why I love anime, there is so much there for us to learn and realize.
i liked the anime too , but i think the producers didn't followed the novels and changed some of the main story events that's why they found themselves heading nowhere . i highly doubt a second season although it's sad for such a masterpiece to end like this.

Not gonna lie, I actually almost forgot about this anime. Altho it got some 'Interesting' reviews, personally I did enjoy it with it's story and everything. But it's been that long since I've watched it and damn does it bring back memories. I still enjoy the opening still and is still in my playlist. Internally I wish there's a second season and what not. but oh well. I still personally enjoyed it. I read from other comments about what happened and it's quite unfortunate. Yes I'm very late to post this in comparison to everything else, I'm glad the author got back on his feet, at least during the time that one of the comments was posted. I hope he still is doing well still!
The anime had so much potential, the plot could've been larger and the story expanded. I don't know why they rushed it with 13 episodes. I don't even think the anime was intended to end there, there was more to show with Kisara's dark side and further extend the story deeper and more intense. It'a truely a shame to see all that thrown away.

Searched Bleach music composer, Shiro Sagisu. Black Bullet, loved the anime, first ost link > this. first 10 secs, head bumping uncontrollably. 30 secs in and foam is coming out my mouth but the music keeps me conscious.
