I'd like to keep it rooted, to keep the twrp, to regain google access BUT to delete all installed apps and data from the previous months. Factory reset in twrp does not have this effect. What should I wipe in advanced wipe? Especially: what is the effect of wipeing system partition? Thanks indeed!
A system wipe will basically remove all pre-installed apps but will also leave your device without its firmware so don't do it unless you have a zipped copy of your device's ROM or a system backup. I recommend wiping the data, cache, and divik cache partitions instead. This shouldbe like doing a factory reset. Or if you have a custom ROM for your device, then you could do a system wipe before flashing. The XDA Development website should have more information about this.

I'm about to put Resurrection Remix on my phone and one tutorial said I could install the ROM (without checking reboot), then the Gapps, then wipe the stock ROM and reboot - any thoughts? I would prefer this method so that if the custom ROM doesn't want to install then I can leave the phone unchanged.

They were basically trying to install a custom operating system on it. Either way It's recommended to install a custom OS to your phone if your warranty is void and if your phone isn't receiving updates anymore.
I know. My phone screwed up. Everytime i pressed reboot system it booted back into teamwin. My phone was stuck in a loop. I got it fixed now but thanks for the help
francesca bautista you have to uninstall teamwin with a computer. Then, completely factory reset the phone. Then reinstall teamwin with a different software (I forgot the name of the software). Its like a 2 hour process :)
