PART 3: How Much My Husband Loves Me

💚 Part 3: By the time we made it home from our day date/Home Depot trip, the rain had stopped and it was actually nice and cool out, so we used the new planter auger attachment to drill holes into the soil via our @farmersfriendllc weed fabric. Well actually, it’s technically called “Quick-Plant Fabric.” It decreases weed pressure and increases water retention and came with pre-burned 3” holes. We opted for the 2 x 18 spacing, which is perfect for our summer crops. The Husky 24” planter auger fit perfectly into the pre-burned holes and went deep enough to make my tomato plants very happy!!
Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you with words how HUGE of a difference this made. Last year, I dug everything by hand to plant out all of my starters and 👏🏻 IT. WAS. EXHAUSTING! 👏🏻 This made it go so much quicker. Our soil here has so much sand (and some parts have clay - it’s really weird). We did a soil test with @clemson_extension last year and have been following their recommendations for amendments. Since these holes go nice and deep, we are able to fill them with a good amount of awesome soil when we plant in them, so I’m hoping to see a big difference in our crops this year!!
We still have a lot to catch up on… a little bit at a time around here… but this has been a blessing, and I’m so thankful for my family who helps out. Teamwork makes such a difference!! 💚💚💚
