I watch this wonderful show every opportunity I can get. I love every actor and actress who has ever been a part of it. My two favorite characters will always be Nora and Compo. They're together again.
I still watch it and still laugh a wonderful cast wonderful actors all so so missed Sunday night all around the telly I never tire of it GOD BLESS YOU ALL ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
No matter how bad things are in my life I watch this program and laugh my socks off at the things they get up too, Nora and composure would be great neighbours. God bless you all for all your laughter and fun 😂 ❣️
I don’t think I ever realized how hard the rigors of filming must have been on this lovely cast of older people. The close up of ‘Nora’s’ feet was heart wrenching. It can’t have been easy standing for hours waiting to film her part of the show, nor for any of the cast really. We all see the finished product but not the hours and hours it took to get everything just right. God bless each and every one of the cast for the lovely memories we all have and for enduring through so many series. I’m American but this show made me fall in love with England. ❤🇬🇧
Watching this video, is like watching a home made family movie from the past. A moment of unforgettable memories and happiness of those we loved, followed by tears of sadness for those we can never replace. Thanks for all the joy and laughter you all have gifted us over the years. Forever grateful.
Nora, life's weary battle axe took no flannel, soft heart underneath it all , a great show that entertained us all for years..R.I.P to them all thanks for the laughter
Thanks so much for this wonderful video of a truly lovely soul. It isn't sad, as some are, and I didn't cry...until that last beautiful photograph. If you haven't read her book, it is worthy of your time; I enjoyed the "real" Kathy's words about her life. Surely one who brought so much joy to others is now rewarded herself. I hope part of her reward is knowing how much we all loved her! She was, indeed a real lady!
Your comment made me cry! Absolutely beautifully stated!!! I LOVE her lil' triangle w/Wally and Compo. That lot will always be hysterical and eternally missed! - J
R.I.P Kathy, you and the cast gave me so many years of pleasure, there will never be a better programme on TV,so sad that it has come to an end, thank god I've everything on video and DVD
It's funny how they talk, about Bill Owen, Kathy Staff, and there are all the other actors who contributed and literally underrated, Michael Aldridge , Robert Fyfe, Jane Freeman (Ivy) Joe Gladwin, John Comer, Juliette Kaplan, Jean Fergusson, Frank Thornton and many other actors and actresses were exceptionally good, but for some reason people talk more about Bill and Kathy sometimes Peter Sallis / Brian Wilde, but there was a wide range of good actors and characters that contributed to the success of this television sitcom.
The scripts went down hill after Compo died - but it didnt seem to matter - turned out it was the actors and characters we loved and were so very fond of
Nora I watch you guys every night before I go to bed. It seems if I don't, I can't sleep. Hope to meet all of you in heaven some day! I have the reruns and my DVDs, so I'm never without you. Lovingly, your biggest fan Yours truly, Rita Whited
Early one morning just as the sun was rising I heard a maiden sing in the valley bellow Please dont deceive me Please never leave me How could you treat a poor maiden so
What wonderful way compo was written out, died with a smile on his face because Nora knocked on his door in a naughty outfit. Reckon poor bill who passed away shortly before would prob have loved that
If Kathy Staff had lived in the 30s and 40s she would have made an EXCELLENT foil for WC Fields, Laurel & Hardy, the Marx Brothers and the Three Stooges! (Lois Laurel's cameo in one episode proves this.)
Nora Batty was a fantastic character how they ever thought her up is probably a mystery but I think she was a charming character a tribute to the show long run Kathie was was a great actress a had many faces to her name but this one role won her a lot of fan's just wonder if there was ever plans to give her own show Nora Batty life and times the real story about her and Compo?

sadly nearly all cast deceased now-but thats life---it should have finished after Bill died-some of the story lines where dreadfull--my good friend jean ferguson told me once a few years back-to read some of scripts before they where filmed was embarassing as they where so bad-but it was work and good wages-still being shown nightly on freeview-gone but not forgotton
God bless Kathy Staff, a lovely lady and a great actress . Sadly missed

I watch this wonderful show every opportunity I can get. I love every

She's missed.
