The drummer is Dmitry Kim, who is a terrific drummer in his own right, but quit because he didn't want to do the extensive touring that the band does. He still works with them in backstage capacity and is also a session drummer on the side. Then along came Vlad! The bass player is Eugene as you are familiar with. This was also the video that gave Jinjer their record contract.

There's not too many people who could handle that tour schedule. Tati's latest Instagram posts seem to say she's tired and needs a break for a while too. Save for a few weeks off here and there it's been a few months short of a year of touring recently.

@@coder4liberty She displayed it in her stage presence at certain shows this winter, when I saw them in '21 she seemed way happier than this past December. For the Teacher Teacher breakdown where you expect her trademark windmill she turned back to crowd and reached for a water bottle on Vlad's kit platform and drank from it for the whole blast beat barrage with was so bizarre. And I've seen comments like this from other venues.. The goddess has so much going on in her head& throw in her personality traits I give her a pass, Tati just wants to be home chilling watching friends reruns drinking fruit smoothies😁

This was the kind of transitional period between Jinjer Junior and the band we know today... Jinjer Jr. was more thrashy and snot nosed and punk rock-ish whereas now they are definitely more cerebral and mature and grown into their own. All eras of this band are pretty strong altogether

  • @danielbeck9310

This song was from 2015. It was the song that got them signed to Napalm Records. But, they had an EP (Inhale Do Not Breathe) and full length album (Cloud Factory), that came out before this, although Cloud Factory was later re-released under Napalm. Sit Stay Rollover is the first song they released with Roman as the only guitarist. The two previous releases were recorded with a second guitarist, Dmitry Oksen, who left the band to pursue an acting career. As far as drummers go, they went through several drummers until Vlad joined in 2016. The band's lineup has remained stable since then. Check out Scissors off Inhale Do Not Breathe and Outlander off of Cloud Factory, if you want to really get a better idea of the band's evolution. And, you're right, there are no bad songs by this band. Not a single one!

Yeah, that's Eugene on bass. He has said that during that -period of their career he was partying to hard, eating to much and not sleeping enough! So he started Ju-Jitsu and got healthy! They were pretty trashy back then. Not long before this album releaser they had a 2nd guitarist, Dima, left to try acting. So they had been writing with 2 guitars in mind. You'll see, they did a lot of great shit together !It's crazy to think what they'd be now if he stayed. They for sure were doing trash a lot different then anyone else! You can see him in a few of the older videos, Cloud Factory for one(which you need to check out!!)along with the drummer this one replaced that fell out of a 3rd story window and broke `his back!! Also, something that shows you what kind of humans they are, Dima is the interrogator in the Disclosure video and the drummer in this vid. was their stage sound engineer for awhile after Vlad joined!! So check out Cloud Factory.
    Also don't forget about:
Amyl & the Sniffers-Hertz or -Guided by Angels(not metal but Punk as good as punk gets)
Tallah-Overconfidence or Vanilla Paste (some damn good metal with crazy good singer)

This is the song and video that got them signed with Napalm Records. This is my fav song along with Teacher, Teacher and I Speak Astronomy. This is early in the history of Jinjer. I think this is right after they went from a 5 piece band to 4 piece. The lead guitarist decided he wanted to pursue acting. He actually comes back as a cop in the video ‘Disclosure’.
The drummer is the only one different. Tati, Eugene, and Roman are still there.

I just discovered your channel last night and binge watched all of your Jinjer reactions so far and I'm so please to know you love them as much as the JINJER army does!! Also, I started to comment this exact song for your next reaction to them but you beat me to it! As for the next song you should really check out is "Judgement and Punishment" one take vocal
by Tatiana Shmayluk (the lead singer ofc!) It's just her and a microphone and it will blow your mind! 🤯🤯
EDIT: No that isn't Vlad on drums. The guy in this video is the old drummer Dmitriy Kim, As for the rest, they are the same. Tati, Eugene (bass) Roman (guitar)

Tati, Roman, and Eugene have been long time members even though none of them are founding members of the band. They are in all the music videos. They've had a few different drummers over the years, but Vlad has had the longest run and they actually recorded the Pisces live session to show off how good he is. Dmitry Kim was with them when they recorded this album, but he left the band due to their relentless touring schedule. The previous drummer fell out of a window and broke his back. Their older videos have a second guitarist, Dmitry Osken. He was the last founding member to leave.
Definitely check out the Alive in Melbourne performance of this song, even if it's only on your own time.

I can date these videos by how many tatoos Tati has and by the drummer. If you want to see some really old Jinjer, watch "Scissors". None of the band members are original to the band...not even Tatiana. In fact nobody could tell you how the band got it's name. They have had other drummers and guitarists but the current line up seems very stable and I don't see it changing anytime soon. MORE JINJER!!!

Check out 'Outlander' for a bit more old school - Dmitry Osken also features in this one before they shifted to just Roman
I speak Astronomy is also fantastic - has some beautiful clean vocals and typical Jinjer twists and turns :)
And let's not forget 'Homeback'. This was written in relation to the ongoing tensions in eastern Ukraine since 2014, and specifically their home region of Donetsk, but obviously now applies to their entire country!
Oh and if you fancy some home grown aussie talent, try 'Make Them Suffer - Doomswitch' :)
