Done about 8000 miles in my 21 sportback in the past 9 months. Couldn’t agree more, very complete car. Only really exciting when flooring it and by that point you are very much over the speed limit. Looks great though. Going to try a Golf R next. Thanks for the review.
Nice car, decent size. I will always prefer a sedan over other models. The new A/S 5 also looks great but so does the price tag on one of those so the A/S 3 is better value.
Seemed to remember my 21 plate 310bhp S3 could get no where near under 4 seconds to 60 think it was more like 4.5? As you mentioned it is a pretty uninvolving car to drive and never really felt like it had over 300 bhp. Plus mine was plagued with random warnings on the dash, a common fault although brand new.
Isn't it just the Aldi badged version of the Golf/Jetta platform mates? Across the pond, the steering being on the other side would be the main difference.. .💯🤔💰🤑🧐🙄
RS3 is in another league to the S3, I own one. Not only is it a lot faster, ignore 0-60 figures, it destroys the S3 in every gear - it also generates more grip and brakes better. Looks a lot better too. My carbon sportback has the ceramic brake option and top speed raised to 180mph, which is the icing on the cake. I have owned previous gen' S3's and they were great, but the new one falls short. Get a Golf R if you don't want or can't stretch to the RS.
Audi S cars have their lunch eaten by VWs R's getting faster and a better price point in some cases. Either go for full fat R or get a top of line VW or Cupra...

How do you find that gaping front ugly grille🤔🤣?
Are we even allowed a new pure petrol vehicle in the UK currently???
Clarification: RS3 is 0-60 in 3.5 secs. The S3 is 4.5 secs. Add 0.3 secs on those figures for 0-62mph times

Plush, posh, fast and competent 🙂
Enough said
A VW with a Audi badge is posh 😆😂🤣
You can get 6 bags of manure in the back if you take the dog out, so it’s a pretty useful vehicle.
nice car

Amazing but a bargain it is not

No Audi uses more Lamborghini Style these Days ... You wont get that in VW
Audi*
Like every other major manufacturer, VAG shares platforms 🤷 and AWD is an important enough difference for some…
@@stephenEs3532😆😂
Did she say A 3 ? Thought it's a S 3 or is it the model im confused 😢
0 to 60 in under 4 seconds for the S3 ….? ….. RS3 …!

She meant in under 5 seconds haha it's about 0-60 mph in 4.2 and 0-60 kpmh in 4.5
So does bmw, not just i140, that's just bloody ignorance,
Just get an i30 fastback n with a stage 1 remap!
Gr8 S3...go easy on the make-up 😊
No.
There a complete rip off now

Only the interior of the Golf R looks like a Toys R Us.
We all have our own preference but if you drove an s3 around you will understand why some people get the s3 over the golf r
You're missing the point. The S3 is quieter and much nicer inside for those that want a bit more refinement.
