Here’s a question: if Purdue has an undefeated nonconference for the fourth year in a row are they ranked #1? That would include wins against Alabama, Marquette, Auburn, Texas A&M, and let’s say BYU, NC State, and the first two Big Ten games
not expecting them to go undefeated again, but if they do, absolutely they are #1

I hope you are right but I see an awesome young man who can shoot, is strong enough BUT is a step slow and it shows. His decision making is also a step slow. Now can he fix this? Sure, and I hope he does. I hope he comes in and is dominate this year, as again he seems like a great human being and someone who is working on his game. But until we see him against real competition at game speed, we just can't assume he will be better. To me the real shocker is Furst. Man that dude was a Mr. Basketball and has all kinds of upside. I would hope he would have improved whatever he was lacking that kept him on the bench.

This sounds reasonable as a Purdue fan. I don't think Smith will be as high but probably close. I "hope" that you are wrong about Jacobson, in that he averaged 12 and somehow slots in for Edy a bit and is a real threat. I know that is wishful thinking though. I unfortunately see Smith falling off a bit of a cliff this year because his defender ALWAYS had to play back a bit because of Edy. Those assists where he just throws it up close to the basket and Edy grabs it and dunks it will not be there this year. Perhaps I am wrong, and I really hope I am.
I think TKR will take advantage of mismatches early on in the season and could definitely have a couple 22/10 games in Nov & Dec.
B1G teams will be able to focus on him and bring him back down to your projected avg
I think if Jacobsen starts, 6ppg is a bit conservative. This team's muscle memory is feed the 7 footer in the post and in late shot clock situations I think we'll see them default to that. Lots of opportunities for clean up buckets for DJ
I hear you BUT Jacobsen plays a completely different game. He is WAY faster than Zach and can shoot outside and dribble (for a 7 foot dude). He can play with his back to the basket but he isn't the weight and muscle of Zach at all.
I think Braden’s stats will be about 14.3 pts, 6.7 assists, 6 rebounds

A mediocre slogan for an historical mediocre program. I could never imagine how frustrating it must be to be a Purdue fan. Then again I am a privileged fan that cheered for an all time historical great blue blood program.

@@emorrow11he’s not good. I’m a Purdue fan. I’d love for him to be good, but from what I’ve seen I don’t think he’s much of a factor. If Jacobsen was going to redshirt I think he’d forced to get decent minutes, but with Jacobsen looking ready to play year 1 I don’t see him playing much.
