My favorite way of taking down Fireclaws is by them with ice arrows to make them go brittle, then hit them with drill spikes (legs if possible to make them knock down and critical hit) and hit with arrows as necessary while avoiding the stomach. Then rinse, lather, repeat. I find this is a good way to get the most materials.
The most efficient way which also saves his belly for upgrade mats is freeze arrows < ropecaster to immobilise < valor surge for dmg or crit < bolt blaster weapon technique to unleash an entire clip into his ass where the energy canisters are located. Depending on the rng or if it's a corrupted one, sometimes you need to repeat the process a couple more times.
Granted I would be MUCH more impressed if you managed to take it down leaving the sac webbing intact, but regardless very hard with no damage, Bravo👏👏👏

I love that you used the shock arrow to hit the canister to create a chain reaction. If you see a canister on the back, it has its elemental weakness.
