I'm ten minutes older than dirt now and when I was a young throbbing boy growing up in the 60's Gassers were all over the place. When I saw that orange 54 Chevy I was in heaven. That is the car I wanted. I built numerous models ( and didn't even think to sniff the glue ) of 54 Orange Chevys. Chopped up, jacked up, big ole motors, and torshun barbers for super gripshun on those big ole tawrs. Heaven on Earth.
i go to shows i say its my church its where i find my Peace with Petrol heads every weekend , thanks for the comment
Never get tired of watching and listening to the Gassers. Brings back memories from the 1960"s at the old Houston Drag Race track.
never gets old
Love that V8 sound. It is just soooooo soothing.
totally
Gotta love when an engine at idle sets off car alarms.
Totally
heavy loping cams for the win..

i love the cars when we grew up,iam 62 and i have had the privlege of riding or driving so many hot cars ..i cant list them all...iam a old woman that can work on a 350 ..and nothing eles..i did drive and own a 1972 SuperBee, i learned to shift on the road in that car ..what a rush..gives me goosebumps.when i think back back ,to cooler to times , muscle cars and rock and roll!!!!
Just cannot match this in jolly old England! That building was art deco, gorgeous . Thank you very much. Take care and stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it stay safe my friend
This is definitely one of the best car channels on youtube for street rod enthusiasts...
I've decided to drop the LT1 engine from my wrecked Camaro into a '79 El Camino I got on Craigslist...
Yeah, I'm gonna build a streetable Gasser...
The El Caminos an ex bracket racer w/ a fried 400 small block; but it does have suspension goodies, a good Muncie rock crusher in it and a 4:10 geared 14 bolt diff., the body's straight w/ no rust out...Even has racing seats, gauges & front brake locks on it....Picked up the El for 5k, what a deal...
Thank you brotha that means alot to me. and i cant remember for the life of me if i ever seen an Elco gasser before hmmm, sounds like a blast, i love unique and one of kind rides
I like it!
What is not to enjoy ? Open headers and smoking rubber ! 😎
my thoughts exactly ;)
lets see a Toyota do that.!!!
@@johnmartin7040 I saw a prius do it. a HELLCAT powered prius.
better than sex
I've always had a passion for cars, even from when I was small, I'm currently 17 passion hasn't died, it's only gotten stronger.
thats Awesome
@@RodderFiles Absolutely, this just adds on to it, but I know deep down I've always loved classic cars, hot rod, rat rods, Gasser's, dragsters doesn't matter to me they're all beautiful.
Love this. And I recognized the area immediately. Only concern: safety for the parked cars. Did anyone notice the opening truck was not lined up straight? This kind of setup is always only one "OOOPS" from a disaster. But, again, loved the action itself.
i filmed looking for a foul up but nope just some good fun
Eric Fisher - The dudes driving here are all VERY experienced. Unlike the zit faced punk with the Mustang GT leaving a Cars and Coffee.
Lovin' that Mr. Toad's Wild Ride car!!!
I'm in Heaven!!!! All that rumble with the volume up, UUUGH, DAAANG!!!!!!
Listening to this with ear pods on. Like being in the pits in the 60s awesome 🍀😎
Is it just me.... or does the sound of open headers give you goosebumps too?
lol
Andy Lucas - or the gear whine and surge of a blown big block!

awesome job with your video. i'm a greaser from Detroit and this is good for me.
Thanks man, i appreciate that, i had a blast
Car alarm going off
Hey Pal
Nobody wants to steal your Ricer.
RIGHT
So...you call all cars ricers or are you just that stupid?
I love how the sound of the exhaust on the black Wiilys panel van made that car alarm go off!!! I once owned a1985 FZ 750, and it would routinely make car alarms go off!!! Hahaha!!# Those were the days!!!
The Good old days were it man, thanks for watching
Bout 25 yrs ago, while in my late teens I bought an old Mercury Zephyr cheap as a back n forth to work car. Body was straight, engine weak and stock C6. I drove it till the engine blew and it sat iny yard for a month or so. Got tired of parking my truck at work and finding new dents and dings every week. My old man had a built 302 sitting in the shop floor he had traded for 20 yrs earlier and being a Chevy family it just sat. After hearing me piss and moan about driving my truck to work he told me to stuff his small block Ford in my old Mercury. He begged me to put a two barrel on it but I went all Holley intake and double pumper 4 barrel. Stock manifolds and exhaust, all stock distributor and fuel system. We took it down to local drag strip and first pass ran a 10.35 in the 1320 at over 125 mph. Stock everything but the engine was outta an old dirt track car. I busted everything that would line up with it that day. Embarrassed a dozen Mustangs and Camaros on the street that week in route to work. Loved that old bucket. My first love affair with Ford. Haven't seen a Zephyr in at least ten or fifteen years now. Wish ida kept it.
Great memory, thanks for sharing ive seen 4 so far in person i feel lucky blessed i get to see west coast surviving classics and share with all so i get to hear others stories memories, i love it

me too, thanks for checking it out
Always loved the 55 Chevy I have three of them all 2-door all V8's the most I paid for any of them was $500.00 the second one $50 Bucks and number three was $200... all of them in perfect shape inside and out needed a little bit of work but had them on the road within a week...Always doing something to them to make-um faster....Back in the day you could get any hot rod for less then $2,000...them days are long gone...💰💰💰👋

I always try to get to car shows early also. It's easier finding primo parking space and it's great to see them drive in.

And if you don’t get there early, stay late
Great little gasser show in Socal, not to many people know about this. Too bad I missed bringing Midnite Express to this years show but had prior commitment on the right coast.

Cool rods. Burn some rubber! Expecting Milner to pull up any minute. Those Henry Js were cool.

Humble 2!! I believe every Henry J was turned into a gasser, lol.

December 1 in northern Illinois, and I'm ready for the decent weather already...
Would have liked to see under the hood of the red '63 Dodge with the dog dish hubcaps. Hemi or Max Wedge?

Some wild rides.. the blue 41 Willys P/U I have seen in San Diego.
was here at the last time i came a yr or 2 ago as well
Awesome looking cars and trucks.
Thank you Dave
Not the fastest, but definitely the coolest dragster ever!
Agreed!
Would someone please explain WHY you would give this video a thumbs down ????????? 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Stay for the end. It WILL be worth it !
yes indeed Thank you
I like your video. It’s sad to see so few young people in the video and those who want to get into the car hobby. The rich blessings of getting your hands dirty is lost on a large portion of the coming generations.
us millennials cant afford it dude. my 1970 dart that i bought when i was 15(almost been 10 years) took me 10 years to get built up to what it is now(big block 4 speed) and it still isnt road worthy.
Mark Jolley - Auto shop being eliminated in schools was a big blow. Us older dudes (the ones with $) have driven up the price of hot rods and classic muscle cars to the point where young dudes simply can’t afford to get into the hobby. While I am not a fan of Fast and Furious ricer/tuner cars at least these guys are out modding and driving their cars like we did when we were young so give them a break! At least they aren’t locked in their rooms playing video games.
@Frigglebiscuit - thanks for posting and keep at it! One repair and mod at a time and before you know it you will be out cruising and tearing it up in your own sweet ride!
Not sure how I ended up here but I’m actually pretty happy about it
Love the lope on the first truck, but it didn't make any rpm. That Blue Willy's pickup sounded a bit grouchy, and the 55 Chevy with the 427 that followed was pretty mean too! And the best thing was all the attitude sounded off by the group of gassers near the end. heaven sent sound!
awesome thanks for watching and leaving a comment
Bueatiful looking old school gassers and all cars
Thanks for the video. Good job filming.
why build it if your scared to run it?
Awesome , Thanks
Wow, great show! Love the channel
Thanks bicylindrico I Appreciate that ;)
Nice video makes me wanna move to California.
Overcrowded
@@helpmenow7 true.....but you can smoke weed?!
you can in many states it sucks here in Cali bout ready to bounce back outta this hole
no you dont lol. the new law they wrote would have cost every one of those cars a 1000 dollar fine. id never set foot in that shit hole.
@@doughopkinsjr who cares about weed? my life doesnt revolve around a damn plant.
21 minute mark those are some angry beasts lol love it
vroom vroom
Awesome, made my day.
Thanks your comment made mine
Awesome show!
it was some Fun
Gotta drive em everyday, that's why we build them.
Coolest thing I’ve seen since D. W. vs the Chevy
Thank you
Great show! Thanks for filming it. Nice camera work!
So great to see hot rodders still doin' it. Amazing machinery there in one place.
Did that one at 29:00 set off a car alarm? Lol!
Some of these look like Big Daddy Roth T-shirts back in the day.
That Hemi Coronet is way cool. I fully understand how the natural look is 'in fashion' now and what collectors want and will pay top dollar for, but it's funny what they call 'patina' today was referred to as a 'rust bucket' back in the day. ;) I myself like a nice paint job. ;) Call me crazy.
Nice '57 at the end, but the awful bling rims on it, no thanks. I hate when they put those modern low aspect tires and rims on classic machines. They look like those snap on fake mag wheels out of an old JC Whitney catalog. Lol
Be sure to stop by this Saturday, August 28th for the Gassers 7 Rev Fest at the Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum!
When car burns rubber people run in the road ????? Why ?? Stay out of the road , that’s why people get hit and we are not aloud to do burnouts ! 20 years ago in Columbus during GoodGuy gathering we could semi close off a side road by the motels at night and have a fun burnout and 100 foot drags and it all stopped when a lady ran across the road on a drag and she got hit and almost dies,,,, it’s all fun til someone gets hurt 😢 but love the gassers thanks for sharing✌🏼
Country Squire checking in... More longroof please :D Nice vid.
Thanks for checking it out
Sick ass gassers the 55 is dope
thanks for checking it out
...so THAT's why Mr. Toad always has a big grin on his face...
That Biscayne sounds kick ass and the red Fairlane and the crackle Fest open headers That's my kind of weekend
Nice video!! Great seeing you out there!!
thanks for checking it out man ;)
I dunno what it is about an old Henry J but they never fail to get my blood pumping.
they are cool
It's too bad that many younger people, even car guys, don't know what a Henry J is. Thank goodness I am old enough.😎
Great cars and video. Nice narration.
That rusty Coronet, you can't paint a car that good, that right!
I liked that one too
Great video. And awesome cars keep it up bud
Thank Rick
Outstanding!
Miss it due to another commitment... see you next year.
hope they have another
The Willy's was misfiring I could see how hot some pipes had gotten an others that hadn't on his headers
That was 1 totally Awesome video! Woohoo!
Thanks it was a fun show
