Any video by Leslie is always informative and interesting. This is a great video for anyone planning to go to the Petersen, as this is the second vehicle that you will see as you tour the museum, from the 3rd floor, down to ground.
Bertha Benz was an ingineer. She is the first person in the world to have a driver licens (just a kind of paper/autorization for go there with... "this" a "motorwagen"..hh) and.. she did a lot of improvments to the car: She has the patent for the first brakes like we know it today. They work a lot together and... she put the money! Thank U very much for your videos! Natan
These demonstrations by Mr. Kendall are high level infotaintment, loving them. And 1886 is a stones throw away from today when you think of it, the advancement in automotive technology is really mind boggling, who knows another 100+ years what we'll be driving or rocketing in. 🙃
Great video! Love the Sike. I've haven't seen car videos utilizing this. It really looks great! I grew up in a photography studio. I saw this vehicle in the "Full Museum Tour" video, but I had no idea how incredibly engineered this was.
I watched an earlier video about Karl's wife, Bertha taking the kids on a trip to see her relatives. The fuel that she could only get was naphtha ( a cleaning agent at the time) from a pharmacy. She bought out the guy's entire stock of it.
Not behind, but beside, a great man is a great woman. Bertha Benz was such a woman! God bless her!

There was one handmade from original drawings by a craftsman in Australia early this century. I have seen it run and drive.
Thanks for the deep dive. That was a complete education of this historic vehicle, and then some. I bet that Berth Benz was a wild one!
Look like we're getting into some real knowledge now I like this video
Is the original car still around? Maybe in the Mercedes museum?
Yes, wich you would know if you watched this video...
With todays insane traffic Id be thrilled to drive this around. In large cities your lucky to see 25 mph anyway lol
