Steven Tyler would then go on and become one of the three new lead singers of Led Zeppelin in the year 2008 with Jason Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on bass, piano, keyboards, and whatever else. The other two were Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge, Slash And Miles Kennedy And The Co-conspirators, and Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and Audioslave. There would be EIGHTY new songs recorded then. This is from Jason Bonham himself who re-recorded one of these songs with his group Black Country Communion. 'tis naught a secret or conspiracy. 'tis true.

Steven Tyler was never the new singer . He was given a try out and it did not work out . Page was not impressed with how he was acting and sent him packing. They considered going on the road with Kennedy but decided without plant it was pointless. Chis Cornell was never auditioned . People suggested it but nothing came of it. Tyler rehearsed with them for a few hours and basically insulted the material they had written saying the music was good but he did not hear any hits and then stupidly said I want to bring in an outside songwriter to help us write some hits . Page promptly walked out of the room and told an assistant to book Tyler a flight and get him the hell out of here. Tyler apparently was also not going through a good period with his voice and did not sing well but asking Jimmy page and jones to work with a hit making song writer was unforgivable to page . Led zeppelin were never a band that worries about radio hits . No one was ever actually officially hired for the job. The story about Cornell joining was just internet rumor . Cornell said he was never asked but would be flattered if they did .
