Not like. it is.
Aqua Z. Lung Steven and Joey's Excellent Adventure... dude !
Domo Aqua rung sama
I Kat Goat totally!
+I Kat Goat Party on dudes!
Led Zeppelin should have been in the hall of fame after the first album came out.
rrp1984 Those artists are truly AWESOME. " Led Zeplin " !!!💞💟💗
The rules are must havereleased a recording
25 years prior.
I was wonder why they weren't inducted with the final words being "what took you so long?"
The moment it dropped they were a lock, but the rules caused the delay
The hall of fame didn’t exist lol
I think these 2 practiced this speech a grand total of -2 times.
At best.
I would be nervous as hell reading a speech in front of The Zep too.
still more times than zeppelin practiced thier live aid set so its all okay
@@flautist6247 lol
@@kurtcasanova4161 i disagree, i suspect tyler, who speaks the text clearly, with better flow and thruthfully sounding wrote all of it, and his band mate, lazily, just stepped in and read the last part, as a lame sidekick. just an impression though
Joe and Steven did an incredible heartfelt job. I watched this live. and it couldn't have been more perfect.
These 2 idiots should never have inducted them! Horrible job by these 2.
They talked for EIGHT MINUTES
Very humble of Steven Tyler! Love that
What an AWESOME tribute.
I can hardly think of anybody who grew up during the 70's who did'nt
listen and love Led Zeppelin. Everything about them from Plant's stellar vocals,
to Jimmy Page's unique guitar sound, to John Paul Jone's great musicianship,
and to the greatest drummer in rock, John Bonham-they were in my opinion
"The Greatest Rock Band Of The 70's"
that isn't an opinion that is a fact
The greatest band ever, period!!
GREATEST BAND EVER !!!
Of all time
my dad can’t stand
zeppelin or the doors..
go figure.! 😏😒
he was most mortified
when i had them both on high rotation.
i was aged 13 at the time.
to this day, now 73 yrs old.
my dad still forms the same opinion on both bands.
🙃
i’m still scratching my noggin’..
lol
silly sausage.
🤣
✌🏻🇦🇺
Had Joe Perry even seen that speech before he read it.
One thing I like about Steven is he has a good sense of humor
A great tribute, and no one could ask for a better induction speech in the true spirit of rock 'n roll than what Steven and Joe gave here for the greatest rock band of all time. No truer words have ever been spoken than "It is laughable that some people still consider them just a heavy metal band, since at least half of their best songs are acoustic."
Joe seems so nervous speaking! How sweet.
You can tell Steven and Joe truly love Zeppelin & admire them. I’m sure they were nervous and honored to give this speech!
Lol. The look on Plant’s face when Tyler starts off with that screech.
Idk why but I had to hold back tears watching this. Born in 1960, Led Zep was my fav band. They remain so. Simply the best. Mark
I think Led Zeppelin №1 rockband for all time.
Bullshit......Floyd, Purple, Rainbow, Sabbath, Stones all better and more ORIGINAL
michael88863 purple and sabbath were formed the same year as led zep. rainbow 7 years after that. floyd and stones existed before but you cant tell who is more original. everyone started from blues. stones played blues, country, rnr. floyd played progressive and they are to me the best band of all time. rainbow members listened to zep. zep, sabbath and purple took blues turned it into blues rock and each one of these bands set the foundations of heavy metal and hard rock. so no purple or rainbow are not better than zep. to me zep kicks their asses, but even you have to admit that a guitarist like paige, a vocalist like plant, a fucking beast of a drummer john bonham and a multitalented motherfucker like john paul jones come out once every 100.000 years. so please, do me a favor and dont place sabbath or purple above led zeppelin. Now am I right or am I right ?
don't care lol one thing though FLOYD are the best band ever - i concur :)
That's like saying "I think blue №1 colour for all time".
"Listen or listen not. There is no compare." - Yoda
Purple and sabbath are not even close to the same level as the Beatles, Stones, or Zeppelin.
Steven Tyler is a huge Led Zeppelin fan, and he is proud of it! Led Zeppelin music made him so emotional that he cried while hearing their music for the first time! He became emotional while sitting in a corner listening to their music, watching them! "Sweetly Emotional"...get it? Inspiring!
rollie girl Excellent guy! And how hot, still today!
I love both Led Zep and Aerosmith....Tyler is one of the best ever. A great person too!
Zeppelin is the best band of all time.
No Pink Floyd Are
I'm Devy no.
Frankie Commisso EXACTLY!!! *THANK YOU* omg 🤪😂🤣🤣🤣
I agree along with Pink Floyd and Queen
@@codythedoggo7671 pink floyd maybe but queen sound more like pop rather than rock and roll
LED ZEPPELIN IS THE GREATEST BAND TO EVER WALK THE FACE OF THE EARTH
A thousand years from now the song will remain the same. Simply the best band of all time !!!
No way
I love LED ZEPPELIN and AEROSMITH
Howlin wolf meets loch ness monster...best description ever of Led Zeppelin...loch ness monster means eerie...and that eerie vibe is addicting as hell...Led Zeppelin greatest Rock band of all time !!
Led Zeppelin, just a rock band? No. They were 4 accomplished musicians who excelled at their respective instruments, but in combination they produced a musical statement far more powerful than the sum of those individual parts. To love them or hate them, is inconsequential. One thing you can't do is ignore them. Their influence in the world of music can still be seen, heard and felt nearly 35 years after they disbanded. Very few if any bands can claim that. I was blessed to be around then. \m/
Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith two of my favorite rock bands ever!
Zeppelin : 1995
Sabbath : 2006
Purple : 2016
Congratulations RRHOF, it took 21 years for you to complete induction of the holy trinity.
+Green Razor Aerosmith definitely deserved their spot
Isn't there some rule like you have to induct them 25 years after the first act or something?
I'm down to a few I have not seen yet. Sadly one has passed on to that stair way. RIP TOM PETTY
No Moody Blues...that SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rush fucking earned that spot man.
I thought the speech was good. I don't know what anyone else would've said but Perry's part pretty much hit the hammer on the head, despite his apparent nerves. And Steve also said what he had to say. And if you can't see how brilliant Aerosmith themselves are, well that speaks for itself.
Yeah even if you're in Aerosmith, I reckon you'd be pretty nervous inducting Led Zeppelin into the RNR hall of fame.
I'm writing this in 2023 and was born in 87...led zeppelin is the greatest band of all time
Steven Tyler: "Oh yeah, I was The Yardbirds' roadie."
Jimmy Page: :O WTF???
I don't think that i have ever heard a band play music like this band. There music has been a big part in my life. When i think about Led Zeppelin i remember special moments in my life. It brings a smile to my face every time i hear them. There is no doubt in my mind that they are the greatest Rock band of all time. Thankyou Led Zeppelin for all the great moment in my and all the great song that you guys have done. My life would be uncomplet with out your great music and all the great memories. I hope you guys play again soon. I would love to hear that great sound again. Thanks again Led Zeppelin.
Here I was thinking about what a brilliant, touching, and sincere introduction this was by these guys and then I made the mistake of scrolling down into the comments and immediately was bummed out by being reminded of how cancerously judgmental people's thoughts can be, even over something that should be seen as inspirational and moving. Oh well. Great video nonetheless.
Thank you
This was so brutally written FOR THEM....and NOT...BY THEM!
It should be embarrasing to them, because it was a complete and total embarrassment to Jimmy & Robert whom deserved WAY better!
Mr. Keith.....Don't worry.....I have no trouble believing that Steve and Joe wrote their own tributes......and THE TWO MUSICIANS did a fine job delivering them to the audience. Just block out the negativity of those critical types who use their time to......well......be.....not nice.
It WAS written by them. Joe in his book told how hard it was for him to do this, because he hates public presentations like this, and how he struggled to find the correct words to express his love for Led Zep. So STFU moron.
@Keithhh2892 yeah you're right about the dumbass neg. comments but what do they know anyway? We know!! We know and that's all that matters! #GodsLiveForever
"Yo Jimmy, When are you gonna show me how to play the Rain Song?....Maybe after." Love that quote.
***** Condoleezza Rice former Secretary of State loves Led Zeppelin.
We are gonna mourn all these great great musicians in the next few years😩😩
STOP IT
These guys born in the 1940s...must have been post WW2 optimism and austerity. An outstanding, magical, musical generation.
Joe and Steven are so sweet and funny. I love how they are not doing a "perfect" speech. Just love them
LOL! Do you actually think they're capable of giving a 'perfect' speech?
Jimmy Page is such an idiot
Joe Perry proves what a gimp he is!! Wtf is he so nervous?? Shows why they had to get people in to play his guitar parts on the albums, Steven is the genius of aerosmith and it hurts Perry who is a knob!!
Thank you Mr. Steve Tyler and Mr. Joe Perry. Your thoughts about how great the musicians of Led Zeppelin are surely heartfelt....I think it is so great that the USA fans of Led Zeppelin do the right thing and cherish the Rock and Roll dynasty of ROCK PERFECTION that is the band Led Zeppelin.
I love Jeff Beck, but very few people in my age group have any idea who he is. On the other hand, they ALL know who Led Zeppelin is and that means iconic.
they both nailed it, i wept like a child, i have all my dads LP's scandanavian import rarities from him and they are too sacred to risk scratching. Been a musician for 25 years and zepp to this day are still unsurpassable. RIP Bonzo, celebration day gig was fkn awesome too. Though tyler n perry's comments were bang on and heartfelt. Whole lotta luv.
When the Hall of Fame wasnt a joke
I think they did well all things considered, I'd rather a heartfelt, albeit slightly stuttered speech than a polished one that serves no emotional purpose and only serves to entertain. 10/10 boys.
Yeah exactly..at least its honest..you can tell..who cares about the technicalities
A VERY SINCERE SPEECH FROM ONE GREAT BAND TO ANOTHER. 😎🎸THANK YOU LED ZEPPELIN AND AEROSMITH. 🥁👍✌🎸🎹🎙😎👏👏👏👏
The fact that a lot of people dont know about this band is SUPER sad and upsetting
teens don't know them
@@chrisclaris4309 Of course they do. They are legendary.
saw these guys in 70s,i was 16,front row, wow, still the greatest rock band ever
led zeppelin the real deal ..1000%
Respect to Aerosmith. They know
I've met Jimmy Page, he's a total gentleman and a lover of blues, rockabilly, rock & roll. These Aerosmith people are quoting cliches here.
MegaVector2011 They are horrible presenters.
dude hes old now
+MegaVector2011 mhm, like you'd be killing it giving an 8 minute speech about Zeppelin, in front of them. I think its a breath of fresh air seeing rockstars, tripping over their words talking about other rockstars. Heroes talking about their heroes. I mean, "these aerosmith people". If your journey of music stopped at Zeppelin, and that abruptly that you're unaware of what aerosmith brought to the table, then you really have a lot to learn still.
It's awesome that you got to meet Jimmy !
the second speaker was excellent
Their music continues to resonate with kids four generations on since they came on the scene.
It's quite inspiring just listening to How inspired Joe Perry is up there I think it's a very moving induction speech great times they had great letters I love Joe Perry
joe perry really admires jimmy page.. i think all guitarrists do tho
He's not emotional he is nervous! Are you that emotionally devoid you can tell the difference?? Man you need help!!!
It’s like Steve wrote all of it and just before they went on he said to Joe, “just read that bit” 🤣🤣🤣
They are reading like a pair of tired third graders presenting a book report...
funny
bleSS THEIR HEARTS
Its a long fucking speech, probably been touring then had to give this speech!
Ďrug blasted ole time rockers... what you want f bombs like G nR??
Sitting in my computer chair at home watching this on UA-cam, I still clapped after their speech, that was excellent
the thing about these inductee's is that they remember all the things from the past , fucking great memory !
John Bonham was and is one of the greatest drummers in the world. Bonzo ftw!
That is true. Listen to any classic Led Zeppelin song and the first thing you hear is John Bonhams amazing drumming. Jimmy was great. But John was actually playing lead on the drums. That is how good he was. He could keep up with Jimmy and his riffs. A once in a lifetime talent. Actually, the whole band was.
Tyler couldn't even get the lyrics correct on Good Times Bad Times. My goodness!
Yeah, but he sang it better. Led Zeppelin didn't even perform their most notable hits because Plant, I'm sure, would not have been able to do them justice as his voice did not stand the test of time.
@@joshtaylor6038 Man knows his limits and won't butcher hits classics, that commands respect. He sang in lower registers and look at the success he's had since, he was great in the 80's solo and absolutely killed it with Allison Krauss..
Nothing new, I've seen them 6 times over the years and I've heard him screw up his own lyrics...
@@joshtaylor6038 Evidently you've never seen them live....
@@indyjohn59 I've seen them live plenty of times.
Wow....I've never seen this induction speech and it's beautiful. I feel everything they are saying, with such honor, respect, experience and humor. I am on a Zepp binge of several days as I recover from an ass-kicking stay in hospital. It is definitely part of my healing and I'm learning so much more about them and their influences. Joe is definitely right.....Zepp are 1000 x more than just a heavy-metal band. They defy a simplistic classification into any single genre and music is far better appreciated as ever-changing, blending, multi-influential, etc. That's just how they wanted it.
I can't believe it took to 1995 for Zeppelin to get in to the non exclusive rock n' roll HOF.
Led Zeppelin is thee quintessential classic rock n' roll band, heck they invented the sound
Because the RnR HoF is a crock of shit.
Considering they were eligible for the first time in 1993, two years is actually very good.
In the days of my youth I was told what it was to be a maaaan!!!
¡AWESOME VOCALS!
Better than plant!
@@joshtaylor6038 Hardly. He learned it all from RP.
This is the greatest introduction speech in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
No it isnt!!!
This is the first time I have seen this. Wow! What an induction by a couple of musical greats themselves. They were right on everything they said and really opened my eyes to what a great influence they were on the music industry. I knew most of this before but when Steven and Joe puts it all together in one place for just a few minutes, well, it made me a little misty. Greats complementing greats. That is what it is all about!
"Yahd-birds"...you can tell Joe Perry is from Massachusetts.
Sheesh Jimmy Page looked great for 51.
Billie joe armstrong also looks young
I was thinking the same thing! Still sexy & mysterious
Jimmy's smile 😍
Beautifully & Heartfully
❤ Done ❤
💙
Fascinating. The same Tyler/Perry who performed wild concerts to sold-out arenas and stadiums come off like middle schoolers reading a book report in the front of class.
Im sad that jimmy's tuxedo isn't even having dragons on it
Led Zeppelin A maior banda de rock de todos os tempos.
This always brings a tear to my eye.
you see me crying toys in the attic great song
The amount of butthurt anti-Aerosmith fans here are just too damn high.
Aerosmith is the best band of all time
Innately inspiring to watch legends admire legends.
Crrrryyy, baby.. yeahhh cry babbby.. look at Jimmy's smile.. he is perfect
God... if Joe Perry got nervous... what else can show the greatness of the Led Zeppelin?
They never learnt their lines....too busy snorting them!
haha,,,good one,,,,
Lol that's good
Aerosmith better Band thought!!
they were drug free in 1995
Hard to talk when your jaws are locked up you are grinding your teeth badly
Rock music of my life
Not a perfect speech but who else could have done it? Aerosmith Idolized led Zepp they were the back d they always hoped and dreamed or being!
Led Zeppelin and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, who cares, greatest Rock`n roll band ever...
I think Joe's speech was very moving, and Stevens was fun too. they were both obviously very honored, but also very inspired. And Joe was so nervous he had a hard time getting the words out right, a typical response that 99% of people anywhere would have had.
Many who have an easy time performing in one aspect, are very shy in other ways. As just one example; Jimi Hendrix was very shy.
The only negativity in this video at all is well, not in the video at all. it's in the toxic comments section, as always. But these people just need to learn the merits of decency, compassion, and most of all: introspection. It's my guess they have been shown little of any of that throughout their lives, hence the anger they direct at anyone who happens to be available. I don't think they even realize they are the minority, and that most of us see right through the thin veil of misdirecting their self-loathing onto others. It's sad more than anything, I can't even take offense because I feel so sorry for them.
_We were all born innocent._ Remember that when you confront someone with hate in their heart (but don't accept their bullshit either).
Though Zeppelin aren't my all time favourite band [they're in my the top 3], i believe they are the Greatest Rock band in history. More than 35 years after Bonzo's death, at least 20 million people enter a worldwide ballot in hopes of attending their one-off O2 Arena gig. 'Nuff said.
People slagging off Aerosmith?? Don't you dare slag off Aerosmith!
Without commenting on the intro speeches, it's nice to see the respect that other musco's have for Led Zep, they truly were in a league of their own.
After the Beatles dominated the 60’s, Led Zeppelin dominated the 70’s. No band had replicated those two in success before or after
not a band but what about Michael Jackson in the 80s?
Not 100% sure that Jimmy or Robert are too happy with whats been said here!!
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry gave an incredible speech about Led Zeppelin being inducted to the rock and roll hall of fine🎉🎉.Steven Tyler is a 1st class act, he delivered a heart felt tribute to the band who deserves ir🎉🎉
You ALL, ROCK! ROCK N ROLL!! will never die...
BEST. BAND. EVER.
a maior banda de todos os tempos led Zeppelin
What a heartfelt loving tribute! I’m glad I’m an old fart because I got to see them at the Winterland on their first tour in ‘69.
SO AMAZING,!!!!!!!GOES TOO SHOW, YOU. CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT ZEPPELIN........
BEST BAND EVER!
Esa musica nunca pasara de moda
Beyond greatness
I bought a led zeppelin tshirt yesterday I love that band too.
Jimmy Page's solo Stairway to Heaven. (Untouchable playing perfection)
That might be the classiest, least cliched induction speech...ever... No "Fuck yeah rock on!" BS... Just two guys giving their heartfelt tribute to those who influenced them. Cool!
This was great !!! Awesome video !!!
absolutely fantastic
Love listening to led zeppelin Rocking out
Aaaaa
Steven Tyler looks like a scientist who loves blues, comic books and weed
Lol
Led Zeppelin are the Best and Greatest popular artists all around in the common or current era (1950's to present).
I would be nervous as fuck inducting the best rock band of all time, wouldn't you?
@GuitarKylePlays Yep. Exactly. If you are rock stars and you're paying tribute to another great rock band, you don't need a script. It comes naturally. No script is needed to know what to say about Led Zeppelin. They are the greatest rock band of all time. I am not in a band, but I know what to say about them and I don't have autocue or a big cheque to inspire me.
7:20 - 7:29 Joe nailed it!
Yah baby! That opening I love it ❤️🤘🏻💋
Was expecting Steven to say "...and my girlfriend was 15 at the time."
