My friend just bought a 2007 Vespa 150 LX. I rode it home for him while I followed him to his house. I noticed that the rear brake was almost non existent. It offered very little stopping power. I never rode any scooter that was that bad. If it didn't have a front brake I wouldn't have rode it home for him. Reading about it, I understand that is a common problem with the LX. The rear brake is barely enough to even slow it down, much less stop it.
ordered the cable, handle end had quite a bit extra cable end past lead lug, wouldn't fit into handle. guess I'll have to grind it off? I was expecting it to fit right in. 2007 fly 150.
my rear brake lever was super loose, i took off the cover and found the brake line was detached from the handle. the end of the brake line was frayed so im assuming it snapped while i was moving it. this video will be a big help. thanks.
I have an ET2 the cable is adjusted all the way and I still have no braking . The rear arm moves but not enough to engage the brake to work properly. Can the cable be stretched? Also the lever doesn’t return all the way after it is applied. Maybe the return spring in broken too?
I replaced the rear brake handle on my 09 Fly 150 but I didn't unhook the cable from the drum and now the brake does not fully dis-engage when released, do you think I need a new cable now or just adjust it somehow?
