Poor Gemma I know stealing wasn't a good thing especially infront of child but you can see how much they are struggling in money wise and there is thousands out there are struggling too I mean 45 pounds for a pair of kids shoes is ridiculous they are more expensive than adults

Always wondered where the people on "corrie" got thier dough. You never see them working yet they can afford to hit the pub and pay Five Pound fer' a Beer.......Now its part of the storyline. A little more realistic maybe -- but realism is always the best version.
Poor Gemma :( her brother is dying, her and Chesney are being evicted. Please can Corrie has a happy storyline for Gemma, this really isn’t fair for her

I would feel terrible for anyone in this situation.
I appreciate it when store managers actually attempt to try and help people, especially people like Gemma. It shows that they do care and have a heart. This store manager on the other hand didn’t even bat an eye at Gemma or her daughter. He just said no to his employee. He’s a rich d-bag because later in the clip, we see that he has an Audi. So he’s able to able to send his son to Oak Hill and buy an Audi, but isn’t able to forfeit 20 dollars so Gemma can afford new shoes.
Haha true right. All of the money in that fam seems to go to Joseph and Chesney. Bizarre. Quad’s and Gem who? Lol
If you are ever in that situation at the end, a bit of diplomacy is needed. Ches should have advocated for Gemma at the end there, and appealing to father and shoe shop owner's better nature by explaining why Gemma felt the need to steal.

I think it would be nice if Joseph’s grandmother Linda would buy the house for Chesny and Gemma. She could even let them rent to own.

In Australia, the price would be a lot worse, Gemma was going through a lot of stuff lately and there are millions of people like her worldwide that are struggling with the cost of living crisis, it is sad.

Gemma should be shop lifting just because she couldn't buy her little girl some shoes from the shoe shop I know alot of people probably do that as well in real life because they can not cope on what they live off it still doesn't make it okay to shop lift in a shoe shop or any other shop.
Yeah stealing isn’t good but she has no money and her kid had blisters bc her shoes didn’t fit her. She wants the best for her kid ur telling me ur gonna let ur kids feet bleed and then be in pain bc u have no money, obviously stealing isn’t good but she didn’t really have a choice
