Blue Wolf and there is a reason for that clearly. Shit only a handfull of this top 40 pc games 2018 is worth my time. I mean sure i can play what ever on the list but paying money for many of thise games is just lame.
Who would with a normal mind ever buy anything from the 40 to the 30 of this list? Imo this was a top 5 with 35 useless crap just because, i have 4 mil subs i want to give them shit!

Finally some recognition for M&B Bannerlord. When you were saying Kingdom Come: Deliverance might spawn a genre of medieval games with no magic, I was thinking "But M&B already did that..."
They are nothing alike though.
Combat is somewhat inspired by Mount & Blade.
I think if setting can be considered a genre they're pretty damn similar at least and from the context of the video I feel like that is what the narrator was talking about. late medieval without fantasy elements and more sim elements rather than arcade. M&B certainly falls under that in some regards and I understand the comparison completely.
Sir Delta So by the same logic command & conquer is the same as a fps game if they share the same setting? Or are Halo like xcom just because you fight aliens? A setting is not a genre and there has been plenty of medieval games before both those games. Mount and blade are mostly a army management game and comparing it to a open world rpg game is just way off. It doesn't make sense to compare them.
Also, there was no magic and stuff in medieval times so it's just "medieval". If it has magic, mythical creatures and/or fantasy races it's fantasy/low-fantasy.

I wish games today would have a medium size open world map, packed with story and interesting and interactive characters; as opposed to big ass empty one time good view, after a while the view gets stale.

To be fair if they released the game sooner, then people would complain about missing features. If they wait to polish the game up, people get impatient. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
What about Dark Souls remastered?
Well Dark Souls was never really mastered for PC, it was just dumbed there barely working and then fixed by mods. So this must be Dark Souls PC mastered (race)

A K Did you ever play any of the games from the 1980's? Holy crap most of them sucked! Horrible graphics, every game was a side scroller, constant glitches and slow down, games have gotten MUCH better!
I started gaming when I was a kid back in the early 80's on my Dad's C64 and my god how those games sucked!

A lot of games now just feel like reskins of older games. I recently played assassins creed origins (I love ancient egypt), but I just can't get into it. It feels like I'm playing watch dogs or far cry again. Just another ubisoft game...

Idk how to feel about Battlefield 2018, considering what happened with Battlefront 2...

SDG Danny it still doesnt have enough heroes, locations and sutch. Doesnt have a galactic conquest like in the older games. The lootbox system doesnt help either. And lightsaber combat needs to be something else then buttonmashing

15:26 Hunt is a spiritual successor to Darksiders? In what way? It's an FPS and Darksiders is a 3rd person action/zelda clone. In Hunt, you're a seemingly normal person with a gun; In Darksiders, you play as unholy demi-gods with super-powers. I see no connection...

Scorn looks dope. I like the idea of the developers keeping it a mystery and throwing us in this disturbing Giger-esque world where we find out what the fuck it really is. My gaming laptop is dated now but this is an exclusive that makes me want to upgrade.
Go for a desktop PC if you don't need mobility. Laptops sacrifice a lot of power and cost an arm or a leg because of it.
Been waiting for scorn for over a year now. Can't wait to play it.

I cannot even begin to explain how hyped I am for Metro: Exodus. The first two games are my two all time favorite single player games, and when they announced it at E3 last year I just about fell out of my chair. Five years is a long time, but if they get it right it will certainly be worth the wait.

The people who made the remake are not the original developers of the game, I'm sure that Team Ico are currently working on a new project that we'll probably see in 10 or so years.

true and i hope team ico create a 10 years worth playing game but bluepoint games remade Shotc from scratch and it looks and plays really good that's why i hope they work on there own original IP from now on they are truly a talented team

Well Bluepoint didn't code the game, all the original code that ran the original PS2 version is still there. They tweaked a few things, completely remade all the visuals from scratch, and used a new engine, but it's not like they looked at the original game then proceeded to develop it again.
I cant believe how many interesting games are coming.
My most hyped ones are: borderlands3, pathologic 2 (im one of the weird ones who knows the first one, and if they are pulling it out to fit all the audiences this is gonna an be awesome game) and hunt showdown.
But if I have to say, none of the games from this video seem bad (to me), wich is actually rare when its a top40 games, and im also rather picky with games myself
Actually the new Pathologic isn't a sequel anymore it's just kind of it's own thing now at least that's what the devs said, I am quite excited for it as well though.
The Radish I think it was rather the opposite, while the story does not continue from the first one, they said at first that it was a remake and then later changed it as "pathologic 2" because it will have many changes as its own game.
So its a sequel but it doesnt continue the story... kinda weird if you ask me haha

IPL calls Pathologic 2 a reimagining of the same story. From what I understand, it’s the same premise: characters, setting, conflict, overall plot, themes, and goals; but the story will be told very differently. The gameplay will also be very different, so it is a gameplay sequel.
I highly doubt Borderlands 3 will be released in 2018 :/

Blue Wolf *inspired. I feel like calling it a copy doesn't do justice for the developers and the effort they put into making the game. Plus, it has a few things the SofC doesn't have like (from what I've heard at least) more survival elements like food warmth etc.
Besides, there are very few if any games that are similar to SofC.
Comment Commenter I dont mean to disrespect the developers, and its not prohibited to take a gameplay idea and use it for your own game (just like fortnite took the battle royale) but usually its not such a great game if they need to use such methods as taking ideas from others.
Now, im just saying this based on the little of what I know of praey from the gods, so this doesnt mean its bad or anything, but thats the first impression it left me, I hope its a good game nonetheless
PUBG didn't make battle royale it originated mainly from dayZ then h1z1 got inspired to make it into top 100, and now their is PUBG and fortnite, don't hate on Epic when they did nothing wrong.

And as I already said: im hoping its a good game, nowadays you cant tell shit from a game trailers until it comes out (this applies to any game) the only thing I could tell from the trailer its that it was similar to sotc, I didnt say the game was bad or anything

What I originally said is that usually something that takes ideas from another game is not as interesting as a game with a totally new idea (or a more "reformed" idea). This only applies when looking at trailers, since when the game comes out we can tell for sure if its good or not

As a fan of the BL series right from the start I'm really weary of how Randy Bitchford and co can potentially fk up the third game, bc of where we are now with "games as a service"

Wing Wing I'm just worried that Gearbox and Randy Pitchford will mess up BL3 bc of all the games as a service/lootbox trends that have been going on in the last 2 years and we'll get a shallow experience bc of that, that half of the games content will be locked behind RNG really currency paywalls
Quentin Els Ah ok, that's a fair point I suppose. Although Randy tweeted that he, as both a designer and a player, doesn't agree with micro transactions and finds them to be problematic. I'm not saying that this is confirmation that we won't have them but perhaps it suggests they will only serve to supply cosmetics rather than weapons and the likes.
Gotta trust in the fellas over at Gearbox. Borderlands is my favourite game series of all time and they've said that the next one will be the biggest yet. My hype levels are way too high to be worrying about anything haha:)
Wing Wing BL2 is still my most played game, with maybe Skyrim coming a close 2nd, it's a game I'll cherish forever bc of the almost 2k hrs I put into it and all the great memories, so I truly hope we get that experience again with the 3rd.

Red dead are not even confirmed for pc. But i think it will come. Later, so they can double dip with people who buy it twice like with GTA5. Not saying that it will come ensures that more people don't just wait for the pc version. + Possible "bribe" money from consoles.
