Lemon Lime Jello Salad
Ingredients
• 3 oz lemon JELLO
• 3 oz lime JELLO
• .25 oz unflavored gelatin
• 2 cups hot water
• 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
• 1 cup crushed pineapple not completely drained
• 1 pint cottage cheese
• 1 cup mayonnaise
• lemon and lime zest for topping optional
Instructions
1. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 baking dish.
2. Dissolve both boxes of JELLO and unflavored gelatin in hot water in baking dish.
3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, pineapple, cottage, cheese and mayonnaise until thoroughly combined.
4. Chill until firm, at least 2 hours.
5. Sprinkle on lemon and lime zest if desired.
6. Cut into squares and serve cold.

Yeah, it’s a lot better to mix it in a big bowl where it’s easier to mix then transfer to the other bowl. I also put a cup of chopped pecans in the mix which is delicious 🤤 Just made this for me and dad for tonight. Our favorite 🤩

I grew up eating this every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas of my life --- minus the sweet milk. My hints! Use a different bowl, so you don't get jello rubber bottom . And we always mixed the hot water- jello- mayonnaise together very well so the mayonnaise melts well. And we also didn't use lemon- just lime jello

Looking good Marie and the "split screen" feature at 5:20 is pretty cool ! My daughter does a similar Jello recipe but I can't remember if it uses the cottage cheese . It makes for a great desert after any meal and keep up the great work Calvin and Marie !

Thanks for watching. The split screen is cool but this time it was a mistake on my editing. I use a split screen to view both cameras and edit. When I finish editing I remove the clips for the unused scenes. I was editing late last night and was tired. Lol !!!

Hi Marie...just saw a video pop up from Jan. 9th for this lemon lime jello and I must say you look absolutely beautiful with the short blonde hair! I hardly recognized you but must say it's just a beautiful look. You are beautiful with long or short hair of course! I've never tried it with out the mayo. It has a nice smooth texture and I guess that the mayo is why.

Since the dish has been sprayed I would mix everything in the pot of hot water instead. That makes more sense to me. Why bother spraying the dish beforehand? 🤷🏼‍♀️ This recipe reminds me of the one mom made when I was a little girl.
