Dude great work on the data and graphs, that must have taken a lot of time to gather and create! Also crispy background with that light 😍
Man thanks so much aye, always trying to improve the look and information I'm presenting and as always coming from someone like you gives me life!!
P34A80 with 1665TBW and weight only 8 grams that's pretty impressive product by SILICON POWER. Thanks for the video, doin great job there mate. Subscribed.
Underrated channel. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks you!! 🙌🏻
Also just wanted to say that all drives were tested at 75% full capacity. The P34A60 SSD performed terribly because of this but I have tested the P34A60 256GB in prior video with the drive empty and you can see the performance is much much much better on the write speeds! - ua-cam.com/video/t_s-DMbpbPQ/v-deo.html
Woop! Thanks for the opportunity to win 😎 - crazy that the SSD only weighs 8 grams! That’s like a grape.. maybe idk I don’t eat grapes much..
You seem to know your stuff on all this, so I'll just ask a direct question. I just bought a SP US75 2TB.... I intend it for everyday and gaming use.... did I get the right one?
I like silicon power. I almost always end up buying at least one product of theirs, whether it's ram or an SSD.
Yeah they have pretty awesome products!
What's the difference of Silicon Power SSD A58 and A55. I cannot find any info for this. Thank you for the response.
SLC is usually faster than TLC/QLC but the trade off is capacity at a given cost.
The 4th place drive would be well placed as a boot drive or backup drive where write speeds aren't necessarily the priority.
8g
Yeah it can be pretty confusing and there’s so many factors to consider, thanks for watching though and I hope you found the video helpful!
If you hibernate, don't use a slow write drive as your boot drive or the hibernation will take an eternity if you have plenty of RAM, because the hibernation data cannot be moved to another drive on Windows. Also system swap shouldn't be placed on such a drive either, but you can choose where it goes.
Just bought a 1 TB A80 with the free powerbank deal on Amazon. Gonne pop it into my rig tomorrow and run the benchmarks
Nice deal!!
Any opinion on Silicon Power UD85, I'm unable to get A80 in a 2TB variant. I want to use the drive in a 10gb/s ORICO enclosure, primarily to transfer my shoot data.
UD85 doesn't have a dram
Whenever looking at a ssd I always am surprised by the great value of silicon power and now just how light they can be! As the P34A80 weighs 8 grams
The SSD weighs 8 grams. Even if I don't win, this video is still helpful to see what type of SSD I should buy for my first PC build.
The Silicon Power P34A80 weights only 8 Grams..

A monumentally heavy 8 grams of glory
P34A80 SSD Weight 8 grams.
dramless ssds like SP Ace A55 is almost a fraud, because the speed outside of SLC cache is pathetic. Within cache, it can go like 400 mb/s, but one it's out, it drops to like 75 mb/s or lower. It's not a prob for an empty drive, but in reality, once you load it to 50% or 75%, the cache size becomes so small, that you will get the low speed a lot. Most customers won't know what's going on, but it's not a decent thing a responsible brand will do.
The SLC cache is not in the over provisioning area? A drive has like 7% hidden flash capacity. That comes out to 23GB in SLC mode.
Just bought the Silicon Power UD90 2 TB Gen 4 drive for $95usd. Runs just as well as my Crucial P5 Plus for a lot less.
Noice!
I just bought mine today. Any problems with the unit?
@@arkzillatvz Use for my games. Plenty fast at a very good price. No issues so far. No problems seeing the drive and initializing it.
I have a sata 110 gb and only used it for a short period and it life is already degening. its at 96%. Very disappointed. my Samsung 500gb sata is 100% and used 10x more than the SP.
Which one is better silicon power or twinMOS?
DO NOT BUY silicon power SSDs. It will slow down significantly after 4GB.
100% not true..
@@SocialHardware No it's true, just transfer any file over 4GB. There's not enough cache.
@@SocialHardware There goes your credibility! I bought four SP A55 SSDs, and all four of them started out with read and write speed around 400 MB/s, which is a good speed for a SATA SSD. But within about 3 months, they all suffered a dramatic slowdown in write speed to less than 100 MB/s. I tried deleting the partitions and re-formatting them, but the write speed was permanently slowed down. The read speed did not change. I could post the before/after snapshots of the Crystal DiskMark scores for one drive, but there's no way to post that in the comments section. Don't take my word for this, just Google "silicon power ace a55 slow performance".
