I adored the whole process! Learned so much, Kelly! Mitzi
Hey Mitzi, thanks so much for taking time to watch Im so glad you learned a few things from it-stay in touch friend!
Loved seeing how it progressed- all the changes! Wow thank you - Louise and Emily ❤
Hey thank you ladies! So appreciate that kind comment
I love to see flower gardens in abstract. So colorful and happy.
Love this!
Love all the layering! I feel like it really gives me permission to just play and not get so hung up on composition from the get go, which puts me into a spin mode leading to being indecisive and unhappy. It all gets overthought and overworked for me so I’m excited to add all the layers and scribbles before each layer! Thank you for sharing your technique!
I’m so happy to pass that on to you as it was passed from others to me 💕
The end looks nothing like I thought it would be at the beginning of the video -- it's absolutely gorgeous!
Hi Peggy and thank you-it’s a very different process that’s for sure
I needed a longer video. I know it’s an older video but you seriously teach me so much, I need my contrast to be more extreme. And some larger shapes maybe I’ll block some darker things in, I need some steps in mine or stones, that’s the perfect place to block in. I see a kaleidoscope view of a rocky wooded area! Somewhere a structure was years ago. 🙌🏻❤️
Oh Sheila thank you Im so glad you're getting so much from this-you are welcome to join my Art group-I teach intuitive session once a month but I'm trying to teach people how to listen to their intuition even when Im teaching other classes in there-I go live once a week with everyone, come join and see if you like it? girlupcycledstudio.com/pages/creators-club
you will meet the kindest people inside the group-so supportive and kind!
Watched the entire process, mesmerized! You are awesome, I loved watching! Shelly
thank you so much
Loved watching your process and the result was amazingly beautiful!
I like this painting, and your process. A technique I like is using isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. It dissolves acrylic paint, but you can control it, to an extent. And I really got some good ideas from Bob Burridge's videos. You can put one color on top of another, with the painting lying on its back, like a watercolor, and put a lot of alcohol with a spray bottle, etc. If the top color isn't very dry yet, you'll find all kinds of fun things happen :) The fumes aren't as bad as acetone, but I would definitely suggest good ventilation. AND alcohol is flammable, so don't be smoking during this process!!!
Thank you-and yes I really enjoy Bob Barridge as well! Hes so fun to watch -thanks for being here!
watched the whole thing and it was fabulous (I'm new here, so a few months behind). I think it's fascinating watching the layers get covered up - at one point you had some funky flowers going on...and it started mostly pink! So much that you put on the canvas was ultimately hidden (although of course it contributed to the depth), but that's why I agree it's so therapeutic - more about the process than the product. thank you for sharing your process. :)
Thanks for your lovely demonstration. Wonderful experience. Fabulous work. Best Julie Fifield.
I loved seeing your process. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
thank you for your painting process, it inspired me, I feel this is something my soul needs so much.❤

Thank you so much Susan 💕
Love your style
Thank you so much-this is one of my favorite pieces I have right now
😍 thank you…. Amazing how it evolved…. Wow
I admire your process. It’s interesting how each stage could have been a finished work of art. Each step created a painting on a painting on a painting on a painting, etc. Inspiring.
Thank you! It’s like taking a journey or adventure on canvas!
Enjoyed watching this. I’m just starting to get into abstract art so really cool to see different artists’ processes and what I might be inspired to incorporate.
Hi Jane! So glad to hear you are starting your art journey! This style of painting is inclusive to every level of artist-give it a try and let me know how you felt about it!

Well hello my beautiful friend! and thank you!
Nice process. Thanks for sharing.
@@leonormartinez6378 thank you so much
Awesome process...I learnt sooo much from you hun 💕
Just gorgeous 🥰👍
Watching you create this amazing painting from start to finish was a inspiration. Your teaching process has helped me to get a clearer picture of the layering processes. I get very hesitant about the marks I make, very often they peer through what I am using as a cover, it just doesn't hide what I don't like. I'm working on one now, I have to walk away when I get lost & don't know what to do. I want to get into the zone, as you put it some day. Thank you.
This is a wonderful video. I learned so much. Thanks for sharing your talent and your knowledge.
Hi Anne and thank you so much for that kind comment!

I discovered your channel today and you did not disappoint. I loved your intuitive painting. I have watched others do this and yours is the first video where the artist fully resolved all the created chaos and ended the video with a completed piece of art. Bravo!
Thank you-it’s certainly an adventurous process

There were so many beautiful layers along the way. Thank you.

I see hints of a cityscape… love this piece
I learned so much watching this. Thank you. I thought you were done before you put the brown on and then it transformed into something totally different!
Thank you so much-I hope you give it a try as well-its a very inclusive process :)
Hi! Thank you for this beautiful demonstration packed with information! So fascinating and fun to watch you move while painting, scratching, marking - and all the layerings - which to me looked like many fully finished products. Yes, I would love to take a course and to follow you - and as an expressive arts therapist I know and reply appreciate the value of intuitive paiting.
Thank you for watching im so glad you enjoyed it
I love the way you paint, so free
Thank you so very much-I appreciate that

All I can say is WOW!!! I just found you and your whole process and end result is amazing!!! I have painted for years but have never tried the abstract and want to delve into it but am so nervous!! I keep telling myself it can always be painted over. Thank you for sharing your talent!!

Girl! I was so into this with you I felt like I had a cold too! Lol
Beautiful process and I am so going to use the oil pastel markings to start intuitive work. That was what I needed to hear this morning. Blessings! J
Lol oh yes I forgot about having a cold while recording lol glad you’re inspired by the art process :)
Really nice lots of eye candy.

hi Debbie and thank you for that Im so glad you enjoyed it
Watched until the end. I love the end result!
Thank you so much for hanging out to watch end result
Thanks 👍
my favorite was around 20 mins in. I loved the color combination and then it totally changed.....
thank you yes-its def a changing colorful adventure I went on ;)
This process is beautifully mysterious and amazing, and very exciting to see how the process unfolds….as a viewer I am also involved …. There is an interaction between the artist and the viewer which holds the suspense ….as if I am watching the crime drama trying to solve the puzzle …..making assumptions and so forth…thank you for sharing❤
oh wow what a cool analogy! Thank you for taking time to get involved with the discussion here-I really appreciate you!
I always look for something to catch my eye like your dolphin. not too many artists jump on those. Good for you!
Thank you Raye! It's such a rewarding process!
I just found your channel. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for more of the same.
Wunderbar!!!!!🙋♀️✌👏👍🌹🍀💐🌺☘🌷🌻❤
Hi there! I enjoyed watching the entire process, usually i wouldnt last this long but i speeded the vidro and really enjoying all those creative marks. My favourites were the shades of turqoise over that greyish blue(not sure what that blue is, like light royal blue). I also enjoyed the orangish tings with the reds and blacks. The white thumb prints and the blurred whites kind of reminded me of fireworks and hapiness. My take home mark was the big circles that you spread out with foam brush. I might watch it again to hone some of the mark maging ideas in my visual dictionary. Thankyou :) Oh! And you doing this inside your creative store with a little bit of activity showing is so inspirational! I personally have my art space in my bedroom, which clashes big time with space and calm in the room. So watching you paint while you run a retail store is seeding some inspiring ideas 😊
Aww thank you for such kind words! I’m always worried about how it appears on video-but this is literally how my life is right now-quite the balancing act trying to keep it all going with my business-so glad you enjoyed it
I'm new here and I really love your art. Every layer is beautiful, it is like different story 😀 I see interesting shapes like flowers e.x. 20th minute on right/top corner ❤
Hi Ewa, thanks for dropping in and watching! isn't it fun to see all the different things inside the layers of a painting as its being created?
HELLO I HUNG OUT FOR THE WHOLE VIDEO. I LOVE YOUR STYLE
Wowzers girl! I’m so glad you enjoyed it-I hope you give it a try?
Thank you for sharing. Loved the painting. Can’t wait to do my own intuitive painting and see what I get. You can’t go wrong, right? 😊
Yes!!! That’s so right my friend!
hi ty 4 sharing
'' The Oasis '' 💚🐪🌴 . From Montreal , Merci !!!!
From about 20min all of a sudden the video is mirror image.... how does this happen?
Lovely art!!
It corrected at about 37min. Amazing transformation!
oh yes-I tape my sessions in various platforms so there could have been a clip that was mirrored from maybe during a live video-where I was teaching a live class possibly? I have an online art group and it could have been from that ;) thank you for asking-hope to get more uploaded soon so stay tuned and say hello again :)
❤
Hi Kelly, this is absolutely beautiful! I love watching people paint like this and have a great desire to do so myself. However, I cannot seem to get myself started. How did you get started? Did you feel fear or perfectionism, and, if so, how did you get past it? I look forward to seeing more of your painting videos! Pam
Im giving you some homework-go get a piece of canvas/paint or whatever you are pulled towards-and show up for it-you have to put the time in on the thing you're passionate about-the rest all comes after that first step-over and over again-it gets easier as you show up for it I promise
I love your style. I just found your channel, I know this was 2 yrs ago lol. I also love your jacket/vest. Did you make that?
Thank you so much! And no I did not make the vest I purchased at a vintage made show in Lancaster
Thank you for letting me know! I'm a musician so it caught my eye, i love it. I didn't realize until after I sent this message that you are in Zanesville and that is where I live too lol. I just randomly found your channel when I searched abstract painting videos. I'm an artist as well, your work is beautiful. I followed you on FB and saw your post about your dad. I am so sorry. Prayers and thoughts going out to you!---Lynn
Do the oil pastels ever dry? Do you use a sealer or finish of any kind?
Yes I always do a final varnish up to two or three coats if needed
I adore this painting. Wondering if you are selling it and/or do you still have it?
Yes it is! Find on my website here it’s a 30x30

When you first started this I seen a man on the right hand side. I love to bring things to the front.
Beautiful. Hard to see though with it behind you.
I would love to teach art therapy. Any recommendations?
I would research the American Art Therapy association, you're required to have a MA to be an official therapist.
Hola, buenas tardes.
Muy interesante su arte.
Si permite una sugerencia, la cámara podría ser colocada en mejor posición. El seguimiento sería más provechoso.
Muchas gracias.
I saw several faces in the early stages, one was wearing glasses and a top hat
Ohh my goodness! That is so cool! I missed that! Thanks for commenting
