Thanks for the great photo editing, showing the blocks in their different uses such as walls, pillars, floors, and stairs which all have different details. Also giving us a screenshot of the brick name and stat in that same shot, very useful and helpful. The piece of resistance is knowing how to get each one and the quick walk throughs with you also showing and saying the map locations. Thank you so much!!!
Yes, me too, fell in love with this block as soon as i got the Blacksmith (it wouldve been when i was in Cindervault but i didnt know then about blocks)
About an hour before you uploaded this video I was looking for something exactly like this. PERFECT way of describing all the blocks, showing where to find them and what they look like. Thanks!
This guide is awesome, and you deserve a subscription for this alone - but the moment you said 'instead of doing the dungeon the intended way', I knew I'd watch all your videos.
I would give this 5 "thumbs up" if I could. I have watched other videos about where to find blocks and NONE of them actually show where they are on the map, AND how to get to them once you get to the location. This is the BEST video on this, by far! Thank you so much!! I was only missing the last 10 or so (I haven't made it to Kindlewaste yet).
Amazing guide! Best I've found to this point! Thanks a bunch! The luminescent block can be found earlier in the game. In the tomb in which you get the bone block. Left and right side of the room you'll find luminescent overgrowth, just mine it while you're in there for the bone block. Voila, two blocks in one, and a new terrain material on top of that. 😉
3:56 For anybody unaware who doesn't want to go traipsing all over the map, for most of the basic components (wood, stone, limestone, sandstone, sand, even the luminous growth - anything that says "Terrain Materials" in the description - so sorry, not ore), you can use the same trick you do with the farming soil (which I would also HIGHLY recommend picking it up when you get the half-timbered block in Diadwyn) to craft infinite amounts of it. All you need is a small amount of the material to get started, and then in the building mode under the terrain category at the bottom, place a chunk of this material. Then grab your rake and spread it out, swap out for your pickaxe, and mine it back up. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed.
Thank you so much for this ❤ Only one error in the entire video - right at the end, your guy at the very end says to watch the video to his right, and its on _his_ left, _our_ right, what drama people would call _Stage Left_ But im sure we cna forgive this 😺
Your poor Smelter But thank you for the vid, it is great to have all the blocks in one vid to look it up. And your little build is cute and shows them perfectly off.
Keep in mind this video was done in early access. Many of the areas have changed in layout and method to reach. A minor example is for the Half Timbered block. The chest holding it is now tucked back in a large tent corner, roughly the same area. But it makes it harder to get in and get out. Then there's the weathered stone brick inside Bramblespine. The way in via mining has been patched.
I plan on making an updated compilation of all blocks once I have covered most of the content in this new update, with all new blocks from newer updates being included.
Amazing guide! One comment on the half timbered block. I took one character up to Diadwyn and looted the blocks, but still couldn't craft them at the workbench. I could use the blocks I got on the hotbar, but could not reclaim them once used. That same character later went back up to Diadwyn and looted the block again and, at that point, was able to craft it. Two other characters did not have the same problem. There's mention of a quest from the carpenter needed, but the two places I found that discuss it fail to mention the quest. Cheers.
I love this game, unfortunately because I have anxiety disorder I frequently afraid to explore dungeons - chicken! Crafting, building, farming is def my thing, and usually, once I get used to the game - fighting, even the hardest bosses is fine. I just need to keep exploring. Thank you for your guide, very helpful.
Those caves can be terrifying! They definitely did a good job there, maybe too good of a job lol. It's because you have to choose between holding a torch and being able to see against having a viable weapon but blind haha
Great video. I’m not a fan of the game’s design to unlock these. I want to build my base then explore the world. After I’ve explored the world, I don’t know if I’d care to build a great base.
Mixing half timbered with city wall looks the best IMO. Copper, Metal, Iron is like building your house out of diamonds in MC. Half timbered look great but is not crazy expensive.
Subscribed! Thanks for this! You deserve so many more subs! This vid was done so well! I wish I could make mine this useful! 😂 I'm gonna share this with my people too! 😊
heres a video suggestion for u, a part 2 where u show locations of the best structures to dismantle for farming each block. because fuck getting the Raw res, building hammer ftw much faster than a pickaxe etc especially on the expensive blocks!
I hope they implement some sort of "creative mode" or something where you can't progress your game but you're allowed to build to your heart's desire. The base building mechanics are what really drew me to this game, being such low level with hardly any materials unlocked really sucks considering I don't care much for the story or the lore. It makes trying to figure out how to build the way I want with what I want that much more tedious.
I'm curious which block/combination of blocks people think is best for building a decent mansion. I've spent the entire game waiting to unlock all the building designs before actually going to the effort of farming enough materials to go beyond my rough stone starter house. I might not really need it any more, but I'd like to build something nice and large as a base for any future content. Also, any favourite locations for said base?
I will probably end up making a short update of all the new blocks as soon as I've covered all four hollow halls. In the meantime, the videos that I have uploaded so far are timestamped to showcase the locations of new blocks that can be found (without a showcase though).
JFC!!! You deserve way more subscribers then you have... time stamps in the description.... chapters... straight forward... and you show examples of the blocks when built... I mean I hate the word 'perfect' but.... I mean the only way this video could possibly be any more helpful is if you added a link I could click and poof you just do it for me and put mats in my chests... A+ job ... thank you so much for a no BS experience! def sub'd and liked... man just perfect! damnit I said it
There is a much easier way to access the limestone block. Just skirt the right side of the area and a few simple double jumps will bring you right up to the roof where the chest rests and there is a grapple hook to reach it.
There is a quest "A Rotten Core" where you have to dig up the Aged Stone Blocks. Has anyone found it yet? Said to be in a buried cellar somewhere on the Maillard estate.
thx a lot ,but i cant find 「highly polished stone block」.when i went to ocean's heart, there was no boss to kill . i am not sure why, could u plz help? thx ^^
How many Roof Blocks does everyone have? I have 6 but i keep feeling im missing some, probably just me being greedy wishing there were more We could certainly do with some at a less steep angle, but it also feels like theres a style or two that should be included and wasnt I know, its early access and im probably just wanting too much But for any who doesnt have 6 Plant Fibre Roof Tiles Stone Shingle Tarred Stone Shingle Straw/Thatch Tarred Straw/Thatch
would be easier if you ordered them as they are shown in workbench for easier checklisting :) otherwise great vid, actualy found couple places on my fully uncovered map because of you also make roof/comforts/decor followup if there are some that need to be looted or need some rare mats that you may miss
Thanks! I considered ordering them alphabetically, but ultimately went with ordering them based on the stages/biomes they become available to everyone. I may or may not make a short video regarding roof tiles, decorations could be a lot of work, but ill consider it!
The bramblespine boneyard secret entrance must be patched cause I can not for the life of me figure out how you got to that location to pickaxe your way in lol

I really am hoping they give us the Ancient Shrine block. Love the black marble with the etched circles.
Yes, me too, fell in love with this block as soon as i got the Blacksmith (it wouldve been when i was in Cindervault but i didnt know then about blocks)
Yeah i hope they give us some of the scavenger fortifications in the form of furniture.
This is *THE* only block I truly want. ... like many others. ;)
Perfect timing. I was missing 2 blocks and trying to read guides online was obnoxious.
I only missed the _"Weathered Stone block"_ at 3:58 cause of all the fog. 😏
A pity we do not have the ancient stone block yet. It looks so elegant.
About an hour before you uploaded this video I was looking for something exactly like this. PERFECT way of describing all the blocks, showing where to find them and what they look like. Thanks!

Bit late to the party, but thank you for showring all the materials in a small building. Appreciate it, this really helps.
Concise, straightforward, and easy to follow, with zero waste or BA. Excellent videos, followed.
Thank you for this! The best vid to find all building blocks on UA-cam! Needs more views!

I was looking for rge 2 that I was missing. Got em now. Thanks.
Thank you Very much for creating this very simple to execute video to help us unlock all these blocks.
Very accurate and concise video, straight to the point thankyou
Thank you for making this video, very helpful!
Thank you for this streamlined guide!
I was missing a few. Let's go build more stuff!
This was pretty handy. I had no idea where to find the weathered stone blocks.
Just what I needed. Great guide.
Great video. I’m not a fan of the game’s design to unlock these. I want to build my base then explore the world. After I’ve explored the world, I don’t know if I’d care to build a great base.
This video earned you a sub, and I don’t sub to people often. Well done.
This is perfect, just what I was looking for. Thank you ! 😊
Well done, and thorough guide

Going to update this video now that new content is available? Your video has helped me find these blocks.

Informative, on point and nicely edited. You have my sub :)

There is a much easier way to access the limestone block. Just skirt the right side of the area and a few simple double jumps will bring you right up to the roof where the chest rests and there is a grapple hook to reach it.
There is also now Warm Luminescent White Block. The recipe is unlocked when you craft wood acid.
Super helpful
Awesome video. Bookmarked
There is a quest "A Rotten Core" where you have to dig up the Aged Stone Blocks. Has anyone found it yet? Said to be in a buried cellar somewhere on the Maillard estate.
Thank you.

I've been into oceans heart many times and have never killed the matron .

One can also obtain tar by picking up a burned out campfire.

The bramblespine boneyard secret entrance must be patched cause I can not for the life of me figure out how you got to that location to pickaxe your way in lol

Here's to the players that build bases around structures and robs all the materials 😂
bases are useless in this game if there is no pvp
