Valley of flowers is a national park located in Chamoli district of uttarakhand india. The region of Valley of Flowers is rich in varied flora and fauna. The Valley of Flowers was declared as a National Park of India in the year of 1982 and it is now a UNESCO world heritage site. The virgin beauty of this mystical valley has always lured botanists, nature lovers and adventure lovers. Valley of flowers seems to change its colors throughout the season from May to October as blooms hundreds of different flowers taking on various colours and shades as time progresses. The Valley is a home to many celebrated flowers like the Brahmakamal, blue poppy and cobra lily.
It's a much sought destination for flowers lovers, botanists, trekkers, photographers, bird watchers and wildlife photographs. The Valley is very beautiful and famous amoung international tourists as thousands of foreigners flock to valley of flowers every year. Valley of Flowers Trek is a beautiful trek that can be experienced in the valley by every trekking lovers. Valley of Flowers trek in uttarakhand is a beautiful, famous and most do trek by every trekkers who wants to trek in the Himalayas. History of valley of Flowers is as in the year 1931, three young British mountainers Frank S Smythe, Eric Shipton and R L Holdsworth went astray from their path while descending from Mt. Kamet. The group accidentally reached a valley which was blanketed with alpine Flowers and was left in the awe with it's beauty thus naming it The Valley of Flowers. Valley of Flowers open for tourists six months in a year as it remains closed in winter due to heavy snow fall. Valley of Flowers is one of the best trek in uttarakhand as everyone try to visit and want to experience it once.
