THIS VIDEO IS THE SECOND PART OF THE VALLEY OF FLOWERS TREK, WHICH COVERS GHANGARIA TO VALLEY OF FLOWERS NATIONAL PARK.
THE TREK FROM GHANGARIA TO VALLEY IS EASY-MODERATE. THE WALK GOES THROUGH THE VALLEY THAT OPENS UP TO A FLOWER BED, WITH PEAKS AND GLACIER IN THE BACKGROUND AND A RIVERBED.
IT IS UP TO YOU, HOW FAR YOU WANT TO GO.
ONE MUST RETURN BACK TO THE ENTRY GATE BY 05:00 PM.
NIGHT CAMPING IS NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE VALLEY.
VALLEY ENTRY TIMINGS ARE-07:00 AM TILL 12:00 NOON.

VALLEY OF FLOWERS NATIONAL PARK IS AN INDIAN NATIONAL PARK, LOCATED IN CHAMOLI, IN UTTARAKHAND.
DECLARED AS NATIONAL PARK IN 1982. AND AS UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE IN 2005.
THE PARK STRETCHES OVER AN EXPANSE OF 87.50(sq)KMS, THE PARK COMES UNDER NANDA DEVI BIOSPHERE RESERVE.
THE VALLEY IS ENDOWED WITH 520 SPECIES OF HIGH-ALTITUDE PLANTS, OF WHICH 498 ARE FLOWERING PLANTS.
THE DENSITY OF WILD ANIMALS IN THE VALLEY IS NOT HIGH, BUT ALL THE ANIMALS FOUND ARE RARE OR ENDANGERED. A TOTAL OF 13 SPECIES OF MAMMALS ARE RECORDED.

THE PLACE WAS LESS KNOWN TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD DUE TO INACCESSIBILITY.IN 1931 BRITISH MOUNTAINEERS, LOST THEIR WAY WHILE RETURNING FROM A SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION TO MT. KAMET AND HAPPENED UPON THE VALLEY, WHICH WAS FULL OF FLOWERS. THEY WERE ATTRACTED TO THE BEAUTY OF THE AREA AND NAMED IT THE "VALLEY OF FLOWERS."
BUT THE LOCAL PEOPLE HAVE VISITED THE VALLEY SINCE ANCIENT TIMES, INDIAN YOGIS ARE KNOWN TO HAVE VISITED THE VALLEY FOR MEDITATION.

THE PARK IS OPEN ONLY DURING SUMMER FROM JUNE TO OCTOBER AND IT IS COVERED BY HEAVY SNOW FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.

Hi, Vishakha Sharma, the best time to visit valley is from mid july and august, as its a monsoon trek, there will be continuous rain showers, but it wont be raining heavily. 🙂

From joshimath, one can easily get taxi till poolna, from poolna start the hike to ghangaria village, and then, to the valley, yes, there is a path which u need to follow, and yes, you can go around the valley and explore.

You do not need a guide if u want to visit the valley, you can go and come on your own, but if you need relevant information about flowers and the valley guide is a must, I would surely recommend a guide alone.

in june the flowers would have just started blooming, so it would not be a great time, but the trek is very scenic and can be done anytime in season.

Thank you zyanah, the best month to visit the valley would be mid-July to August when the valley is blooming with flowers, but for views, you would have to prefer September or October.

It totally depends on you, if you want to get the complete information about the flowers, the valley, and the mountains, a guide is must, not for showing path, but for the information.

sir, it totally depends on you, how you prefer to go, there are many options available., you can hire a personal cab till joshimath, or u can, choose public transport till joshimath, there's no exact budget for this trip.

hey Sayantika, the best time to visit valley is from mid july till august. Actually the valley is so stunning that, it can be visited any time, until closed. But best time would be in july and august.

Double dose vaccination certificate is enough or RTPCR report needed at entry point of valley of flowers.
If you are vaccinated with both doses, minimum of 15 days before, then it is not mandatory to carry an RTPCR report. e-pass is mandatory.
