What is it?
Adidas's Boost, a collaboration with the chemical giant BASF, is different. The midsole of the new Energy Boost, the first shoe to showcase the technology, looks like spongy polystyrene, but is actually made up of hundreds of nuggets of super-springy thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) fused together.

Maybe do a video on solarsoft. I just sold my pair of Nike SB’s, I didn’t even know they had solarsoft insoles but in my experience when wearing shoes for a short amount of time - which most of us probably do considering we have multiple sneakers - I likes a super soft insole much better than a soft outsole like the vapormax or even boost. I tried the solarsoft insole with my NMD’s and I think you’re right we really need some nice boost insoles, when I put the solarsoft in them it was just like the gentlest walk ever

The boost gets firmer over time and it shrinks and crinkles up just a bit over time and it can yellow no matter how much its cleaned

Years ago somewhere in my teenage years there were these adidas shoes with air units under the sole and this switch that you could pul out next to an lcd screen on the heel and switch them to 1,2,3,4,5,6 and pump up the units to a certain and desired psi and all. The looks were amazing aswell. 7ve tried to find them on the internet but somehow all the information about them is lost. Strange. But uhm... the adidas and puma technology was very revokutionary back then. The puma disc system, the torsion etc. Those days are sadly gone. I wish the german brought back their super shoes, they deserve it. They are worth it.

Nike rarely uses lunar anymore and I miss it, I like my 2016 hyper dunks with zoom but I also miss the 2014 with lunar

riderfan4 I haven't had this issue with any of my Airmax's, even after years of wear... I have a pair of Air Max's that are literally over a decade old and they haven't compressed or popped...
my ultraboosts definitely decreased in comfort after wearing them for a while. The boost just feels mediocre.

the thing is that boost needs a sufficient amount of it in order to be extremely comfortable. So it's pretty hard for a thing layer of boost insole to be a game changer. Also that if Adidas provide boost insoles that are comfy, people can swap them in shoes like Jordan retros to improve comfort. Although it would be dope for consumers but that's not what Adidas want to see when one of their main advantage over jordan retro is comfort.

I really dont think nike air is that good of a cushion. It's mostly gimick and the actual good thing is they made shoes lighter compare to rubber midsoles (which isnt a factor today since sneakers use EVA/phylon nowadays). The cushion from nike that does not require a big amount of space is Zoom, which is a completely different stuff than air (when I say air I mean the old air, not the new vapor tech.)

boost is very comfortable but definitely a stretch to say your feet won't hurt from standing all day. comfort and support are very different.
Agree and disagree, I have worn boost for 12 hr weddings I DJ and 9/10 times my feet feel great by the end of the gig!

My NMD's are actually more comfortable than my UltraBOOST. It's really up to the person, I have wide feet so the NMD's fit much better compared to the narrower UltraBOOST shoes.
