Reading Harley had a 131 Fat Bob demo bike which I test rode last year. Fantastic bike. Bassani exhaust, suitably loud. I went for a 114 eventually (with a stage 1 and Bassani exhaust) which I am quite happy with. Tempted to quieten the exhaust if I can get a new baffle.
Well worth going Stage 2 (Torque cam) makes quite a difference for not too much cash. I made a video on it about 3-4 years ago, kept me happy till now!
Cool video. Good idea on the suspension. I'll be honest I've not ridden a 131. However it might be because I have a lot of bikes including an insanely fast bike, but I've never understood people craving more & more performance from a Harley motor. I always say if your after that performance buy a performance bike. I do understand they love the bike. The comfort & looks & handling ect & maybe get used to it so want a bit more, but the stage 4 just seems like a lot of money for trying to make the bike what it isn't. I'm probably talking nonsense because I haven't experienced a 131 myself. Tbh I'm more than happy with the performance of my 114 FXDR. Like I say, though, if I want a blast I'll take one of my others out & try not to die. I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to yours when it's done. Make sure your arms are ready for that torque. I'm glad your keeping that bike. They are an awesome machine.
Indeed a total waste of money but will be a big laugh, and lot's cheaper than a part exchanging for a new Harley 117 (which is no faster than the stage 2 114) Will I go faster,? Not really... Will I smile more yes from the extra torque and of course the 131 badge image will make me smug!!!,... Will probably make similar power to my R1250GS and still weigh 50kg more, so won't be my fastest bike in fact the GSX1400 and the Ribelle leccy bike both annihilate the GS for acceleration... Of course I only ever go the speed limit anyway. Cheers

Initially will set up the bike using the FP3, and a download map for the 131, but yes a dyno setup makes the most sense once run in.

You should have gone newer bike .... as most bike's your looking at have 5 gallon tanks ... fat bob is 3 gallon tank .... lol
