Mario rios will say that Lifting belts and straps were interpreted to cover up limiting factors is just coping because most people couldn’t handle the threshold produced when lifting.
Love the content here, and I love how well both of you articulate your points. The only thing I'd point out is for the lifting straps and belts, I finally gave myself permission to do it all, and my lifting feels so much better. Like Tanner said, being natural and lifting as heavy as possible, I appreciate the help that straps, wraps, and belts give. I don't feel any shame when using them, and my lifts have improved immensely.
Your the realist guy out there hands down and I appreciate you a lot. One question though. How long should I rest my chest if I got a bad pull near the shoulder? Tyvm brother 😊
Ok as a long distance runner myself the pain you go through in a marathon is a complete different beast than a sprint not reaching failure is complete crap I like to see him run 26.2 all out.
You completely missed the point by taking it personal and getting caught up in your emotions. They weren't talking about which is more painful. Of course running a marathon is more painful and strenuous than a couple of short all out sprints but then you are comparing apples to oranges. A few all out sprints at 100% capacity that takes you 5 minutes is more strenuous and activates and builds more strength and muscle than a slow jog running a mile or two over the course of 15-30 mins. This is just a fact. Nobody is trying to steal your thunder. I have never done a marathon and can imagine how painful my shin splints would be after one or even the training leading up to it but it would be cool to do it one day just to say I did it.
12:26 sumo deadlift also hits the glutes a lot more from that position so I've seen a lot of women do it and it's actually quite effective over a long period of time
Best part of this video is just seeing two dedicated bodybuilders sit next to each other: one on steroids and one not on steroids. The difference in size is remarkable.
It's great to compare fitness strategies. Also I still believe that successful fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders are some of the most insightful people when it comes to how exercise and nutrition are related. Anyone giving fitness and nutrition advice who is out of shape is not going to be taken as seriously as someone who looks the part. Real experience comes from doing it yourself.
Just a heads up. Mike Mentzer coached Dorian Yates. Im surprised you dont know that. Yates was inspired by Mentzer and used his books when he started training.
i have an objection to the pre workouts part, the 90s bodybuilders did use pre workouts, maybe not what we know in their current form (powdered substances you mix with water) but people used coffee to stimulate their workouts (caffiene is a common pre workout ingredient). also mike mentzer being one of the guys shown in the video literally used meth as a pre workout to charge himself lol
The reason young men need pre-workouts today, and older men did not/do not, is because young people think they need energy drinks to go to the supermarket, or play video games. As a result, they have to up the ante when it comes to lifting, they have to improve upon Monster etc.
I'm sure I'm not alone here. But I use a thermogenic almost everyday. And here is why. So I'm in good shape, I'm 180 lean and I'm pretty strong for my size. If y'all wanna know my lift numbers just reply to this asking lol. But I track my calories, rest and train all that good stuff. I use a thermogenic because it literally kills my appetite and eliminates those darn cravings for sweet shit. Because I literally have zero appetite during the day. I'm able to mentally approach my food as just a tool. I only eat because I know that I need to get my macros in. It's just easier for me.
I literally can’t pull conventional without hurting my back I’m 6’3 Not saying tall people can’t deadlift. I just notice tanner saying conventional is the way to go and it dosnt work for me. I’d appreciate some advice rather than trying to tell me how my body works.
@@richluke24 it doesn't matter really. It comes down to weigh you use, ull have to go a bit around your knees, i see it on myself, on a trap barbell, you shall be able to pull briefly more weight, for me the diffrence is collosal, its like +40%

Well, for those of us who don't take steroids, having a preworkout drink is beneficial. And a good ritual to get yourself ready. But overall good video.
steroids absolutely work...but I've also met natty guys that don't use pre-workouts either. That question wasn't about steroids...so please don't knock him for that. He puts out a really good positive message
Shout out to dr.james but I agree with him. Enhanced vs natty is 2 totally different ways to train. Natty 6 to 8 heavy reps. Enhanced 10 to 20 reps. You train completely different enhanced vs natty

That was some bullshit about marathon runners and sprinters. If course there are physique differences but they’re not because of what he said about failure

Well there's a lot of chemistry that goes on in between that converts the plant matter into protein which is impossible in a humans digestive system.
