It's strange because I remember watching this in the mid 2000's several times and the segment on the Cowboys going from a dynasty to 6-10, I remember when spy gate came out I expected the Patriots have a similar fate, The only thing the Patriots had in common with the 97 cowboys was the same three digits just, but rearranged very differently.
They kept cheating and got caught again for spying on the Bengals practice in 2019. Media swept it under rug but they lost draft picks for it and haven't been the same since.
Elway had 2 up on bret farve, 1 because hes so cool when the game is on the line and he has the ball. 2 because when its 3and7 he can be out of the shotgun and run 5 wide receivers and keep the ball and run for a 1st down. Ive watched alot of packer games with 1 to 3min to go and Brett favre always chokes. Throws a int or runs iut of downs. He lost his ability to run for 1st downs because he wasn't on his Vicodin anymore. Ive seen a few plays that were quarter back draw for 3rd and 3 and he still couldn't get 3 yrds running. I knew when the game was at 1:39 to go he was going to come up short. Brett never could win games when the pressure was on with 1 to 2min to go. On the few occasions that he did he got lucky on hail mary passes or just luck. The Superbowl showed you what kind of QB he was..get the ball go 80 yrds on 3 plays. Elway was number crunching when it got to the 4th qtr knowing how much time to use and how much time to leave on the clock..he said he wanted to run another play or 2 so brett wouldnt have any time left. But holmgren let davis in for the touchdown he should have tried to stop them but i dont think they could have either way. If they could have might have held the broncos to a field goal instead if the touchdown. Then all the packers would need was a field goal to tie it. Elway said all i asked for was a chance let me be in the game within 7pts and 5min to go thats all i ask for. It was a prayer he said the night before. He said he never prayed about football games before .. he said if i get the chance to have the ball with 5min to go and i screw it up, ill know who's to blame and what kind of QB i am. But he knew he could do it and did. If he had a terrel Davis in the 80s i think he could have won 2 of those 3 Superbowl losses. The ability to control the clock with a running game would have been huge .
@@packersauburneric3625 you were never going to stop the running game no team could. Fritz Shermer told Reggie Gilbert Dotson to stay in your feet these guys may be small but they know how to play tough smash mouth football. You seen what happened to the falcons they said Davis won't run on us . They pretty much held him in check for 98 yards but elway ran for a TD and threw for over 330yards. It's like pick your poison which side of the blade so you want .and Denver's defense words can't even say how good they were. Eugene Robinson said elway and Davis are unstoppable . There's no team in history that would have a chance against the 98 broncos. They scored over 500 points had 2 1500yrd receivers and a 2000yrd running back. With a QB that could pull a game out of his butthole almost at will . I'm talking with even a bad team he did it over and over . His numbers don't tell the whole story. Elway was different than any other QB. The guy played for the Yankees and batted 318 played his entire career with out a ACL in his knee and still rushed for 35 TD and 3500 yards along with 500yards punting and some receiving yards and a touchdown. He even beat Jim McMahon 31 ton28 on Monday night in 88 and the bears were good. If McMahon was healthy he would have taken the bears to the Superbowl. I'm sorry but as much as I loved Reggie white and the whole packers teams they couldn't beat Denver. Elway retired undefeated against new England like 12 and 0 I watched him in the metro dome against the Vikings just march down the field and throw the game winning td to ed McCaffrey.. my grandma was a vikings fan i said elways going to win right here. She said there not enough time left. I said watch and see... She started watching all the broncos games after that. But was still mad elway beat her Vikings. I would have loved to see 98 broncos vs 85 bears or Brady and company . It's hard to stop elway and davis.People say he only did that run cause it was the Superbowl. If you watched the games throughout the season he ran and dove for many 1st downs .. but I hope the packers do something next year. I can't believe love threw that int on 1st and 10 with 2 timeout reminds me of brett

Thank you so much for this. As someone who despises the Fudge Packers, Super Bowl XXXII was by far my favorite one.
