J League footballer scores wonder goal from deep in his own half

Avispa Fukuoka forward Shahab Zahedi scored a spectacular long-range winner against Gamba Osaka in a Japanese J1 League match. In the 22nd minute, the Iranian international fired a shot from midway inside his own half that caught the opposition keeper, Jun Ichimori, miles off his line.

I'm surprised we don't see more goals like this. Goalkeepers nowadays are almost on the halfway line when their team is attacking, Andre Onana in particular does it a lot and has been scored against exactly like this at least once and will no doubt get caught out again. It's crazy, they shouldn't venture any further than the edge of the penalty area.

Instead of watching for the ball the keeper should've guessed where it's going and get to that spot, then look for the ball on the bounce. Yes it can be done.
