Def my favourite national anthem. Especially love it when the stadium is smart enough to cut the recorded music, and just go with the beautiful Welsh crowd singing. Amazing
The greatest sound in professional sport, unbeatable anywhere in the world. It always kills me to see the conductor conducting the crowd and not the choir.
The conductor was conducting the band that's stood behind them - it seems strange, but it is completely normal for marching bands, especially if they're going to be marching away afterwards.
@Hassan Ali Really... I can so does my wife and my kids and my grandchildren and we live in England so no you're wrong !! We are very Welsh and very proud so what are you trying to say?
I have to agree ....although never understood why the Men of Harlech song is never used in the traditional line up and face off...such as with the All blacks trying to intimidate down .....worked with the Zulus! (probably historical inaccurate but who cares and made the film!!! !) and sooooo inspirational !
Although the HAKA is ace, it is ultimately contrived with non Maoris 'feelin da connection' with ancestors that aren't really theirs. With Welsh people, we've been here for 800 plus years and we are still here, chippy, passionate and Welsh.
@@here.3070 More like 3,000+ years. We were here when the Romans arrived, and we dragged the stones from west Wales to stonehenge, so that's even longer.
From a Māori the welsh anthem sung by the welsh gives me equal goosebumps bloody brilliant two small nations can leave a mark as big as we both have churpppp ✊🏽
I always in up in tears everytime I hear our anthem, and at the millennium and against england it's always absolutely electrifying, nothing can beat our anthem nothing... Cymru am byth 🏴
1. This land of my fathers is dear to me. Land of poets and singers, and people of stature, Her brave warriors, fine patriots Shed their blood for freedom. Chorus: Land! Land! I am true to my land! As long as the sea serves as a wall. For this pure, dear land May the language endure for ever. 2. Old land of the mountains, paradise of the poets, Every valley, every cliff a beauty guards; Through love of my country, enchanting voices will be, Her streams and rivers to me. 3. Though the enemy have trampled my country underfoot, The old language of the Welsh knows no retreat, The spirit is not hindered by the treacherous hand Nor silenced the sweet harp of my land.
Went here for a play-off final in 2006, roof shut, oh wow, still gives me goose bumps to this day how the banging tunes and atmosphere of the crowd reverberated around. And we won (beat Swansea).
The band usually just play the introduction and the first couple of bars, then let the crowd get on with it! Without a doubt, it's the world's best anthem.
Now flower of Scotland is pretty special to us but we cant compete with that .awesome never got down when it was at the arms park but it's still pretty special at the princeipallity stadium .when this is all over we will be back down next year hopefully
The first time a national anthem was sung was this wonderful anthem in response to the All Black Hakka in 1905. Anthems have been played at sporting events ever since. It represents so much to the Welsh. It’s one of complete defiance against English might, and survival against the odds. One of the greatest national anthems ever. One to even challenge the haka!
The rugby need to learn something from the Welsh Football Association here.... Forget the choirs, forget the speakers just play the first few bars and let the crowd sing it

Amazing harmonies. All in tune. By far, the best anthem in the world. From a proud Belgian.

This is the best rendition, the voices enjoying the acoustic treat of a closed roof. Tears of joy !
Best anthem in the WORLD....FACT!!!!! proud to be welsh 😍
I'm not Welsh but how stirring and magnificent
Welsh a d Proud, BEST ANTHEM BY FAR, presently living in nz, and they couldn't sing their own anthem if their lives depended on it
I'm proud to be Scottish, but the Welsh national anthem never fails to get me, I absolutely love it 👍
We khasi people also have the khasi anthem which is exactly same as welsh anthem.....
As a Englishman one word “STUNNING “
No one can sing their National Anthem like the Welsh.Bendigedig.
bendigedig indeed. first time ive heard bendigedig in quite a few years haha!!
England can sing ours fantastic it’s just we have a lady sining it

They are not signing anything, they are singing the most passionate and rousing national anthem in the world 🏴

A small nation at one in song. Verklempt. 🏴 ♥
You have to dig deep inside you're soul just to match that, never mind beat that! Gets me hard listening to it as an Englishman. Pure celtic rivalry.
If it was against us Scots wouldn’t have been as loud, as the roof would’ve been open. Pathetic Welsh can’t beat the English unless the roof is shut.
Been there many times as a proud Welshman. Shivers..................
Nothing better than the welsh anthem. Full stop makes mu heart bursy
Best Anthem in the world FACT ☺ 😂 😉

Scots always welcome in CARDIFF

Tom you did the nation proud with recording.
Breathtaking
No pitch invaders, no booing, only respect. Watch and learn soccer supporters.

I feel sorry for the Sais with their borderline dirge of an anthem. Imagine singing God Save The Queen and then getting hit by this.
She needs to be saved after that
It's the dirge to end all dirges.
...and THAT is how you fuckin start a game. Love to Cymru and England!
Well , Cymru , anyway !!
Brilliant 🏴
Best anthem by a mile in the UK.from Scotland .
Purely goosebumps nothing else 🎉
Incredible

Get rid of the choir and the band. The football team no longer use backing and the anthem sounds even better, imagine this but better, incredible.

As a all blacks fan I reckon wales have the best anthem
Wales jinne fantasties is Sommer hoendervleis lekker 👍😉
The haka. Is an embarrassment
Bendigedig,
Filming from the English section i noticed ☹️
Cos it'd be too loud to film in the Welsh End
There are no segregated fan sections in rugby.
No segregation in rugby
No segregation but I am an England fan appreciating the Welsh anthem.
I hate this new same. It will always be the millennium stadium.

Wales isn't a country, it's a region. This is a nice regional song. Who's the Welsh PM? What's the Welsh constitution?
You need to check you facts again fool
